Eh...I can't see anything because the folder isn't public yet.

You can post the pictures very easily. Click on the image on brickshelf, so that you only see the picture (so nothing else of the site).

Then you can copy the link, put him in a post and do this: [image] before, and [/image] at the end of the link.

That's all, good luck!

Ah there it is! I think the sails look quite good, and I also like the look of all the flags.

I think you could better use normal cannons as bowchasers, and put normal ropes on the place of the plastic ones (to the crow's nest) because they don't fit very well.

For the rest it looks quite good, and ofcourse: welcome to the forum!

Why thank ya :) I kinda like the current bow guns though. In the book, the Rose has a steampunk-like gun on the bow, that fires an explosive round called a Lightning Bolt, and without that gun, my ship wouldn't be the same. Oh, and duly noted on the rigging lines...would you suggest any certain material of string or something, or just whatever i would happen to find?

Ok then just keep your cannons :pir-wink: I think you could just use the black ropes that you've also used on some other places.

But any brown or black rope would do fine there.

You most likely have noticed that the midection of my White Rose isn't a stock mid-section piece. This is because i do not have said pieces in stock & was forced into just making a quick fix for the sake of the build. umm...Can anyone suggest any solutions for a better fix? I have searched Bricklink & eBay for the parts, but because they are rare, they are expensive and seldom seen parts. The cheapest one's i have found are in Europe, but since i do not live in Europe, the shipping costs could get pretty high. I do have a supply of parts at hand, but i'm just not sure what combination of bricks could make that section of her hull more aesthetically pleasing...

Looks great, but images are bigger than my front door! Eurobricks has an image size policy of a maximum image size of 800 x 600.

You may find this tutorial useful. Should you have any trouble, don't hesitate to let me know and I'll be happy to lend a hand. :pir-wink:

Its truly a beautiful ship mate, the sails came out excellent! I'm loving the steam cannon on the front, and all the little detail. great work

Interesting. The colors throw everything off a little. But I do like some of the detail you put into it. Not bad. The hand made sails are a definate +. The crayon colored flag needs fixing though...

The way you did the replacement for the midsection seemed odd, though I like how it goes along well with the robusk feel of the ship. IMO its good, esspecially for your first.

Thanks for the constructive (lego...constructive...nvm lol) criticism, its rly helpful. Umm...yeah haha, the Crayon Flag was just a quick fix for now, i'm wanting to print off another one on those Iron-On sheets then Iron it to a piece of fabric. Also, I did edit the midsection of the hull, so, she no longer has the red bricks, she now has the light grey plates in a sloped fashion so it appears at least a little more natural...I'm sorry, but uh, what's IMO?

In My Opinion. :pir-wink:

It seems to be you've been making nice progress. Really nice job. :pir-sweet:

Her colours and shapes are nice, and the rigging is great as well.

Perhaps some less swivel guns at the back?

I agree

You got any update pics? Sounds Good! :pir-grin:

Also, Is the thing made of barrels on the front of the ship supposed to be some kind of cannon? :pir-sceptic:

Also, also, You got that story posted anywhere? i'd like to read it... :pir-classic:

Not yet...currently Dark at the Moment, I'll try to get a few when i can find an iron-on sheet for my banner.

Yes it is. It is a specialized cannon built specifically for my White Rose. In the book it is referred to as a Dual Mortar Launcher, which fires a projectile somewhat in relation to the Bottle Rocket...but its many times larger & has a special grappling iron mounted at the head of the explosive.

No i don't cuz i'm trying to keep it under wraps for a bit. It's still in progress & ive seen some of the things that ive written out on the internet being copied, so im trying to keep things under the radar for a bit, until i can find a publisher(names were copied, ive seen a White Rose ship out there, an Atlantica video game with pirates, & idk what all). But i might upload the 1st 5 chapters at some point...

1. Tape some fabric onto a somewhat thick piece of paper

2. Find the design you want printed on the sails

3. Put the fabric/paper thing in your/an Inkjet printer (make sure it's placed so that it prints on the fabric side)

4. Print the design

5. If the color is too light, let dry (should only take a minute) then print over a second time.

6. trace an outline of the sail onto the paper side.

7. Cut out

8. Remove paper

9. Voila! (and you didn't even need to use iron ons...)
