The Legonater Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 With a trailor that impressive they can't delay it any longer... Quote
Oky Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 (edited) It's "trailer"! And yes, the March 25 date seems pretty official now. Edited February 10, 2011 by Oky Wan Kenobi Quote

commdr_neyo Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 Wow, I really like the trailer, this is just getting better and better Quote
commanderneyo Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 Here are a couple of Gameplay Videos also! One each of Geonosis Arena, Weapons Factory and Ambush http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xcdh0btC8M0 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=58KHduh4O_M http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jnH_OgDCiUU Quote
Brickdoctor Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 (edited) Great. CW vehicles on Geonosis in Ep. 2. EDIT: Just realized that's from the CW battle. The Arena level doesn't look so bad, a lot better than the old one, but I don't really like their use of the '07 droidekas. Those tings are just ugly. As for Ambush, it looks to be pretty fun. The Legonater Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 Loving those gameplay vids! Geonosis isn't really anything new, and the only real new thing on Ambush is the minikit reveal, but the weapons factory sceane is brand new. I was expecting use of the story swap and switching between Barriss/Asohka and Luminara/Anakin. Using the big ground battle instead is interesting. I'm just getting the feeling they're using that feature too much. Quote
commanderneyo Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 EDIT: Just realized that's from the CW battle. Actually in the AOTC Battle Of Geonosis they will be CW Vehicles anyway so don't get your hopes up, this video proves it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N2b32Tf-57Y Its nearer the end of the video. Those tings are just ugly. As for Ambush, it looks to be pretty fun. Completely seconded. Although the original arena was okay, it really didn't do justice to the sceane. And the original droidekas were more movie-accurate than the 2007 ones. And yeah, Ambush is going to be a great level. Quote
Oky Posted February 10, 2011 Posted February 10, 2011 Oh! Now I understand! Here are a couple of Gameplay Videos also! One each of Geonosis Arena, Weapons Factory and Ambush Cool, thanks for the links! Have you looked at the other videos in that channel? They have lots of other cutscenes from the game Geonosis Arena 1 2 3 4 Jedi Crash 1 2 3 4 Blue Shadow Virus 1 2 3 Duel of the Droids 1 2 3 4 They seem to be somewhat prelim though. The Vulture Droid's head looks all weird and for some reason Jar Jar has Nadahr's torso. They seem to have cut Jedi Crash quite short. Anakin doesn't even get injured, and it goes from the crash straight to the defending of the village. Looks like Obi Wan isn't a big fan of stickers either. I wonder if you will have to fight Goldie as Artoo. Quote

Oky Posted February 10, 2011 Posted February 10, 2011 Oh, I see. But why didn't you post them then, and how did you get them anyway? Quote
commanderneyo Posted February 10, 2011 Posted February 10, 2011 (edited) Oh, I see. But why didn't you post them then, and how did you get them anyway? In response. 1. I planned to post them once I had all of them (Look at my answer below for the reason) 2. I got them all from the Lucasarts Lego Star Wars 3 Beta (From the Achievements where you unlock videos) EDIT: Found This. http://www.theforce.net/topstory/story/LEGO_SW_III_TCW_Han_And_Leia_136573.asp Edited February 11, 2011 by commanderneyo Quote

The Legonater Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 (edited) The achievement/trophy list has been revealed. I'm liking some of those achievments- such as releasing villains from the brig- sounds like extra stuff. But there aren't a whole lot of season 2 missions... Brickdoctor Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 What's this about 'Converting systems'? Do we get to go back and play it like the BF2 Galactic Campaign mode? Quote
CMP Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 Good, they're only using the episodes worth levels. The system capturing thing sounds interesting. Maybe in addition to levels, you can do a 'bonus' level for each planet, capturing it, that being where the massive battles take palce? Quote
The Legonater Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 What's this about 'Converting systems'? Do we get to go back and play it like the BF2 Galactic Campaign mode? I was just thinking that- if so, it would be sweet. LSW3 is becoming more and more impressive. I really hope rescuing villains from the brig involves a lot of charecters and switches. Quote
sologuy369 Posted February 15, 2011 Posted February 15, 2011 I have the new march gameinformer magezine and will post images once I scan them. The picture show a geonosis arena, sceance swap and one other... No release date is said. Quote
Sisco Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 My Walmart had a demo of the game on Xbox 360. You could play in two levels, Shadow of the Malevolence and Destroy Malevolence. I don't recall which I played, but I was inside the Malevolence trying to rescue Padme. The gameplay was pretty fun and entertaining. There were five droids in the first hallway, which were destroyed easily, using some combo lightsaber moves. For once, the computer player helped out, and killed two droids. We pressed on, and got to what seemed to be a train station. I recall vaguely this episode, and this scene. R2-D2 had to fly to a platform to one of the "Droid" portal thingies, and a train full of super battle droids stopped. After destroying the droids, using a combination of the force and lightsaber play, we hopped to the next platform. We repeated the process, and two super battle droids and a droideka stopped. The droideka was unfortunately the 2007 version, with the ugly legs. The computer destroyed one of the super battle droids, and I killed the other two droids. I then had to use the force to attach a platform to a purple brick, much like in Lego Harry Potter. Then I realized how late I was in getting somewhere, and raced off. Quote

Brickdoctor Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 For once, the computer player helped out, and killed two droids...The computer destroyed one of the super battle droids, and I killed the other two droids. Nice. Does the computer have a damage penalty, so far as you could tell? Like, does it take it longer to destroy objects? Quote
Sisco Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 That was Destroy Malevolence. Thanks for the description of the level even though you had to race off and couldn't finish the demo Thanks for telling me what I was playing, I wasn't quite sure. Then again, I'm not up to par on my CW trivia! Sorry I had to go, it really was an important appointment. Nice. Does the computer have a damage penalty, so far as you could tell? Like, does it take it longer to destroy objects? I wasn't sure, but I think that the computer player might have had to take two hits to kill a droid, whereas I only had to hit a droid once. Another thing I forgot to mention is that R2 has that same zapper thing he's always had, the one that zaps droids, deactivating them for a while. Quote
The Legonater Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 That's sweet. I wonder if a Wal-Mart of HMV near me will have that- a lot of them have consoles. Quote
Oky Posted February 20, 2011 Posted February 20, 2011 (edited) Yeah, they had a demo in a best buys in Washington DC too. I didn't have much time to try it, but I liked what I saw. The graphics (on PS3) are great, and the gameplay feels more fluent. Still waiting on those images, Sologuy. Oh, and the emperor will be in the game too. Codeword "DARKSIDE".
