The Legonater Posted March 9, 2011 Posted March 9, 2011 Ooh, so the space battle at the beggining of Jedi Crash is a level! Sweet! Quote
Fallenangel Posted March 11, 2011 Posted March 11, 2011 I know, but not the way that this game is doing it. One swipe and - bam, bam, bam! There's also the fact that in the older games defending meant you couldn't move. Yeah, that's part of what I meant by simpler gameplay. Taking out those features means you can pretty much just walk around smashing the attack button (which of course is boring). And I thought the first LEGO game was easy. If the first game was for the target audience (8-year-olds) this one must be for the ones who don't know the Prequels or even how to properly play a video game (5-year olds). But whatever - I know I played a fair share of Nintendo in my kindergarten days. Jedi Crash... was that the one with Aayla Secura? Quote
BrickArtist Posted March 11, 2011 Posted March 11, 2011 Jedi Crash... was that the one with Aayla Secura? Yup-The 327th is pinned down being annihilated by seps, anikan rescues them. Quote
Fallenangel Posted March 11, 2011 Posted March 11, 2011 Yup-The 327th is pinned down being annihilated by seps, anikan rescues them. But that was a high-altitude battle, not a space battle... So it appears that the game spans a rather large period of time (of the aforementioned six months, that is...) multiple seasons? Or is it just the first? Quote

Solscud007 Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 Anyone see or hear of a collectors edition? I know Lego Harrypotter had a little special set that cost a bit more. But I havent seen nor heard of anything for Lego SWIII Quote
DarthSion Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 There does not seem to be one, I have not seen it on ebgames. Quote
Masked Builder Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 Hmmm....A collectors Edition? I haven't heard of it. I'm going to get the game though! Can't wait. Some of the levels look great! Quote
DarthSion Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 Yes we have already seen the second clip. Quote
DarthR2-D2 Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 New brief trailer That 1st part was terible, well just awkward. or maybe Quote
Fallenangel Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 So... what is that creature in the first clip Oky Wan Kenobi posted supposed to be? Ooh, an Octuptarra tri-droid! Shame it's not brickbuilt though. Quote
Cad Bane Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 (edited) It's Gor from the Lair of Grievous Episode. Gor is a male roggwort. He was basically Grievous' pet/companion in his secret lair... he really just is some monster that TCW made up. He looks interesting, IMO. Not the fiercest thing though...Grievous is scarier. Also know as the CW attempt to overtake the rancor, and IMO it failed just as the Twilight will never be the new Millennium Falcon. This game is looking pretty sweet, though. Quote

This game is looking pretty sweet, though. Yeah, they're always trying to make iconic things, but they usually fail. There have been several good episodes (a lot actually IMO), but mostly because of the story and action. They have used an actual rancor or two in their episodes, though it's blue, on Felucia and called a "Jungle Rancor". It's in the Bounty Hunters episode and in a deleted scene from TCW movie. Quote

Eh, TFU didn't do so well in the rancor category either. You can change it's colors, give it a gazillion teeth, make it ninety-four times larger and change its homeworld from Lehon to Dathomir to Felucia, but it still won't be as memorable as the one audiences first saw in Jedi. Oky Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 Has anyone spotted the Fighter Tank anywhere? After all the footage that has been released, I haven't seen it once and am afraid it wont be included. Quote
Clone OPatra Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 It's great how in those little TV spots they animated the Clone Armor correctly, but in the game it's the EpII/EpIII armor with the CW helmet. Also, a few things in the longer trailer that are weird: Ventress has one red lightsaber and one blue lightsaber, and there's some little gnome guy with an Indy whip that's following Anakin in the Geonosis clips. Who is that supposed to be? Quote
The Legonater Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 and there's some little gnome guy with an Indy whip that's following Anakin in the Geonosis clips. Who is that supposed to be? That would be the Lurmen from the planet Maridun- not Geonosis. Quote
commanderneyo Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 By the way everyone the Lucasarts website has been updated with new Characters, actions and a new planet!! (The new planet is Ryloth) Quote

Fallenangel Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 (edited) Yeah, they're always trying to make iconic things, but they usually fail. Agreed, though it appears that the Malevolence has gained some reputation; but I suppose you can add that to the list of forgotten superweapons along with the Orbital Nightcloak, World Devastators, the Galaxy Gun, the Sun Crusher, and Darksaber. Eh, TFU didn't do so well in the rancor category either. Dathomir to Lehon to Felucia. Courtship came nearly a decade before KOTOR. (The new planet is Ryloth) The idea of Ryloth as a 'new planet' strikes me as somewhat comical. I don't see why it would be included- it hasn't appeared in any of the movies or the series. It hasn't? Then 7679 is actually an Expanded Universe set? (It came with the new clones, so I assumed the TX-130 had already made its appearance in the series.) EDIT: Hey, Ryloth rotates now! Interesting... Edited March 16, 2011 by fallenangel309 Quote
