commanderneyo Posted March 21, 2011 Posted March 21, 2011 (edited) Sorry for the double post but here is a walkthrough for Gungan General featuring another massive ground battle (Shocking isn't it how they can make a ground battle out of Gungan General but not Landing At Point Rain!!) And as our fellow member The Legonater said a while ago don't you get the feeling they're overusing the Ground Battles EG: Defenders Of Peace and now Gungan General as well? Brickdoctor Posted March 21, 2011 Posted March 21, 2011 Wait - the 'Episode' is called Count Dooku, and Chapter One is the Battle of Geonosis, and then Chapter Two is Gungan General? I'm confused. Quote
Oky Posted March 21, 2011 Posted March 21, 2011 (edited) Shocking isn't it how they can make a ground battle out of Gungan General but not Landing At Point Rain!! So there's no level for L@PR? That's too bad, but I guess they figured one Battle for Geonosis is enough. And no, one can never have enough epic ground battles! By the way, why don't you deeplink your videos? Wait - the 'Episode' is called Count Dooku, and Chapter One is the Battle of Geonosis, and then Chapter Two is Gungan General? I'm confused. It's kind of a weird jump, but it makes sense since the pirates arc was the first after Attack of the Clones that featured Dooku as the main villain, except the TCW movie maybe. Oh silly me, I forgot that the CW show jumps around the timeline with no definite pattern. But if the movie precedes this story, then shouldn't any shows that chronologically precede the movie (the Christophsis episode with the steath ship comes to mind) come before this story? EDIT 2: Oh, that was smart. I just realized what you're saying is that they've organized the levels by villain, not by story. Can't say I agree with that, since I think it detracts from understanding the story, but I get it now.EDIT: Oh, and while I have no idea what's going on in this online game thing, StarWars.com says that the last unlockable character is Lando, and I haven't seen anyone mention him yet. No level for Landing @ Point Rain that was confirmed a while ago... 2. I prefer to put my videos up that way i'll try deeplinking one the next time. 3. I think that might mean the duel between Dooku and Anakin from TCW movie won't be in this game though I hope i'm wrong... Quote

You mean have any levels based on the Battle of Christophsis before the "Dooku" levels? That would really make sense IMO since that story takes place in between AotC and Gungan General, and they want to start the game off with the Battle of Geonosis. I guess the makers of the game care more about bundling episodes together under a certain villain's theme than keeping them in chronological order. And I don't think Cat and Mouse is included in this game, however Hidden Enemy seems to be part of it. I'm guessing there will be one level for Hidden Enemy and two for the movie. I think that might mean the duel between Dooku and Anakin from TCW movie won't be in this game though I hope i'm wrong... Shouldn't you know? You're the one who's been playing the game. Aren't you? My post now also says, Oh, that was smart. I just realized what you're saying is that they've organized the levels by villain, not by story. Can't say I agree with that, since I think it detracts from understanding the story, but I get it now. When I think about it, it does make some sense, as in that now each episode can end with a Boss Battle. (even if Dooku won't be killed) Maybe that's why they seem to have skipped the duel with Dooku on Geonosis. I guess the other 'episodes' will be named General Grievous and Assaj Ventress? Quote
The Legonater Posted March 21, 2011 Posted March 21, 2011 And as our fellow member The Legonater said a while ago don't you get the feeling they're overusing the Ground Battles EG: Defenders Of Peace and now Gungan General as well? I do! Oh. Wait. But seriously, I don't mind them using their sweet new features a few times. But it seems like two thirds of the game is going to rely on this. Which means if it's bad, the game is going to fail misrebly. I mean, take a look at LSW2- the main new featrue there was the vehicle levels, but the most they used them was twice an episode. Quote

Yes, most likely. And if they continue this idea of villain themes, the others will probably be Poggle the Lesser, Wat Tambor, Nuvo Vindi, Lok Durd, and Zillo Beast, but somehow I doubt that. Quote

And if they continue this idea of villain themes, the others will probably be Poggle the Lesser, Wat Tambor, Nuvo Vindi, Lok Durd, and Zillo Beast, but somehow I doubt that. And if they ever decide to do a level based on Clone Cadets, they can call it 'Battle Simulator' or 'Your Own Weaknesses'. I just don't see why do it this way when the other way worked well through all the other Star Wars games. Quote
sok117 Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 Is anyone else bothered by the fact that jar jar is just wearing Nadahrs torso? It looks so wrong in my opinion. Quote

Personally though I think i'm going to really like the massive ground battle in Defenders Of Peace but the ground battle in Gungan General just looks so terrible IMO. Just wait till I get Commander Stone and blast them Proton Cannons with dual wield blasters!! Quote

I just don't see why do it this way when the other way worked well through all the other Star Wars games. Or 'Your failure to accept that you're really bad at video gaming...' (I know I am!) Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that the series appears to be arranged in scattered story arcs while the films are presented in chronological order. Quote
commanderneyo Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 Just to let you know in the website game the code for Greedo is "HESHOTFIRST" Quote
Brickdoctor Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that the series appears to be arranged in scattered story arcs while the films are presented in chronological order. Yeah, it does make sense that way. I did realize that in LSW 1, they were arranged by villain and story: Menace ended with the "Darth Maul" level, Clones ended with the "Darth Tyrannus" level, and Sith ended with the "Darth Vader" level. So yes, I guess this makes sense. Sort of. Just to let you know in the website game the code for Greedo is "HESHOTFIRST" Han shot first, Han shot first! Quote
Cad Bane Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 Just to let you know in the website game the code for Greedo is "HESHOTFIRST" GRRRR! I had tried some of that kind of thing. "HANSHOTFIRST" "WHOSHOTFIRST" "GREEDOSHOTFIRST" but I guess I missed the most obvious one. Thanks for the tip! Now onto Jabba. Quote
Fallenangel Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 Yeah, it does make sense that way. So yes, I guess this makes sense. Sort of. Han shot first, Han shot first! Haven't you realized? Each of the Prequels are defined by their respective disposable villains. That depends on what Lucas puts into the 3D version of Star Wars. But as of now, yes, he shot first. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 Haven't you realized? Each of the Prequels are defined by their respective disposable villains. Vader wasn't very disposable. Unless you mean Grievous. (who did have his own level named after him in LSW 1 as well) Quote
Oky Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 I got the game today! Can't wait to play it, but I will have to as I still have some finals to finish. Anyway, I also got email from S@H advertising the game, and it revealed a cheat code for unlocking the Geonosian Starfighter. It's "edenec". Quote
commanderneyo Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 (edited) I was just thinking (It is confirmed by Lucasarts there will be a level for "Tresspass") and I had a thought "Well we're getting ground battles for "Gungan General" and "Defenders Of Peace" so what are the chances of another ground battle for "Tresspass" which would actually work as a ground battle as its a pretty big battle?" ^What do you lot think?
