Hello everybody! :classic:

After having seen that strange old-styled scooter in the 10211 Grand Emporium I thought that it would be great to get a modernised version.

So I tried my luck with LDD:

Boy With City Scooter

It's always good to have a city scooter to get quickly home from school () or to go shopping in the city.

This set includes a modern city scooter and a boy with rucksack.

Not bad 'Klaus-Dieter' ! :sweet:

Backpack idea is very sound, but the handle bars on the scooter are way too long or wide which ever way you want to call it.

I can see that you have used 2x1 plates with hinge tounge as the chassis and wheels - very clever of you.

I'm a conformist! 'Klaus-Dieter' I'm a conformist! !

Thanks lightningtiger. :classic:

I thought a while about how to design the scooter - and then I thought with using these plates it surely would look plausible.

I agree with lightintiger that the handlebar is too long. I suggest using the handlebar on the white quad bike in 7213 Offroad Fire Truck.

Thanks ImLost. :classic:

Indeed I would really have liked to use this part you descripe - but I regrettably didn't find it in LDD.

So very simple but still very great Klaus.

If you get around to build it in real bricks, and add that handlebar instead, please take a picture.

Strange that you didn´t find that piece since it is a very common piece.

I was even going to suggest this hose piece if it was available, but the handlebar is better.

Nice design, but I think it would be better if Lego made those hinges with the actual connector facing down, if you know what I mean. :classic:

Thanks prateek. :classic:

I'll firstly have to look whether I generally own these two plates for the bottom of the city scooter. If not I'll have to order them via PaB - but then it would take a while until I will take and show pics since I do not order for only two bricks but wait until I have a whole list of more bricks I want and need. But I know that I own the handlebar - it is in black but nevertheless.

At the moment I'm not aible to take any pics - but immediately when I'll be aible to I'll take some and show them to you.
