I have just uploaded some pictures onto Flickr of all 5 modular buildings together

All I need now is a bigger table to put them all on!

Also, out of interest I have weighed each of the sets, Its fairly common knowledge how many pieces are in each set but thought it would be interesting to see how much each set weighed. Weights are of completed Lego sets only and do not include any packaging, boxes or instruction booklets.

Market Street - 1347g

Cafe Corner - 1859g

Fire Station - 1956g

Grand Emporium - 2101g

Green Grocer - 2176g

Simply awesome. I love these buildings.

A small favour to ask though, any chance you can post a picture or two of the buildings in this configuration?

MS .... FB

CC GG GE

The two I have left to buy are Fire Brigade and the Grand Emporium, but it'd be cool to see them how I intend to set them up before I buy. :classic:

I've always wanted to see all five together. While I wish I would've started collecting these before the earlier ones started to disappear, I don't think I have the room or cash for these. Thanks for sharing, do you mind if I use one as my desktop?

I have CC and GG and this is the setup I'm toying with:

GE ................. GG

GE GE GE moc CC

Now whether I can pull it off is a different story  Looks like 10211 may very well cost north of $150USD...

Thanks for sharing this setup! I must admit, I don't regret missing Market Street as much now- I just hate the gap it forms in the buildings! I'm still getting Grand Emporium regardless of how it looks compared to Fire Brigade, but it's nice to get an idea about what it might look like.

Thanks again. :classic:

Nice street, cann't wait to get a GE for myself. :hmpf_bad:

I like the double escalators.

Did you build 2 extra, or is there a large jump to make now to get from ground floor to next floor? :cry_sad:

looking at your pictures closely I guess it's the jump.....

Nice work. I like the setting with the dead-end street very much.

I don't mind if you use it on your desktop - I am probably going to take some more pictures this weekend in natural light as I don't like the way some of this pictures have turned out with the glare from the flash of my camera.

Your GG is flipped around, which makes it look kinda weird to me. But that makes the setup unique I guess.

Well spotted! I built GG the other way round a few weeks ago with this intention of buying a 2nd and putting them side by side - that will now have to wait since I spend £140 on GE!

I cheated when building the 2nd escalator and took it from the other floor, but I just wanted to show how they look side by side

Almost 10kg of beauty :classic:

I still need to build my fire brigade and of course buy the Grand Emporium so that I can build the same street. Then it needs a road in front of it. Unfortunately, that means taking the buildings apart and moving them about 8 studs, so that the side walks can be on the studded part of road plates. That's of course not necessary, but it would look silly with 8 studs between the side walk and the street.

I've been wondering what road plates would look best. I have many old light gray ones, but maybe the new dark gray ones have a more realistic color? Opinions?

Or you can turn them into parking spaces or build a bike lane.

This is the first image I've seen of the five buildings all placed side-to-side  . I'll have all except for Market Street. Thanks for sharing. I'm looking forward to "capping off" the opposite end of the Cafe Corner. Looks great!

Very nice, thanks for the pictures!

I am missing the Grand Emporium and Firestation at this point, but whenever my financial situation permits it that gap will be filled....

I would love to see a picture review of the Grand Emporium, anyone want to make one?

I have got Market Street and I don't care about the whole between the buildings it can cause. I can just put the part causing the gap aside - it is built on a separate baseplate - and move Market Street wall-to-wall to another building. No problem at all. I'm happy to have Market Street.

I agree - I like Market Street and I think Lego should do more smaller buildings - the big ones are great but can be a bit pricey and as you day, if you don't like the gap its easy to remove

I like modulars very very much, still the only think bothering me is the "entrance" part of MS. It looks so much out og place :sceptic:

With the increase in prices it makes me think that LEGO is now pricing the sets by weight of plastic and not pieces.

Or you can turn them into parking spaces or build a bike lane.

That is what I did here. Parking spaces and a bike lane. Can you spot the parking meter?

Very nice composition but...where did you buy the Grand Emporium?

From the Lego Shop in Milton Keynes last week - they sold a few before they were supposed to apparently.

Thanks for your answer.

It cost me 140.00GBP - 40% higher than Fire Station or Green Grocer. Not sure what the price will be in Euros
