Hinckley Posted December 17, 2007 Posted December 17, 2007 Click here$29k for a lego set. wow...with that kinda money i could have bought a car. Check it now. I believe it was just a typo...
jawa Posted December 17, 2007 Posted December 17, 2007 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=170178591732 999USD for battle pack. he is obviously trying to fish people into thinking this is some sort of ultra-mega-super-dupa-limited-gold plated with diamond lego set I will make him an offer of 0.5USD, just for the fun of it.
Starwars4J Posted December 17, 2007 Posted December 17, 2007 Possibly just a typo, and he meant 9.99? Anyway I'll merge this with ebay madness ;-)
Jones Posted January 4, 2008 Posted January 4, 2008 I think this is madness: http://cgi.ebay.com/Professional-Lego-Asse...1QQcmdZViewItem Who would pay someone else for all the fun?? :-D
adik_sa_lego Posted January 4, 2008 Posted January 4, 2008 I think this is madness:http://cgi.ebay.com/Professional-Lego-Asse...1QQcmdZViewItem Who would pay someone else for all the fun?? :-D now that's crazy!
Brickadier General Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 Someone is selling a subscription to the Lego Magazine. Yes, now you too can pay only $4.95 for a two year subscription to the same magazine you can get for free.
Matn Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 Someone is selling a subscription to the Lego Magazine. Yes, now you too can pay only $4.95 for a two year subscription to the same magazine you can get for free. That's just silly and a ripoff. If you pay the amount that person will sign you up on your adress. :-|
LegoFranks Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...:MEWA:IT&ih=020 Does this guy seriously think he's going to get that amount of money for a Lego set? Is this the highest price anyone has ever seen? M.
Captain Green Hair Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 It is ridiculous!! *wacko* Check out the shipping costs too! *n* Thanks for sharing!
Siegfried Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 Well it's cheaper than the $2400 one on Bricklink... :-|
Holodoc Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 I agree, this is absolutely ridiculous! |-/ We do have a seperate thread for ebay findings like these. ;-)
snefroe Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 (edited) can an admin move this to the ebay madness topic, please? btw, i'm not so sure this is a ridiculous price. it's one of the most expensive and wanted sets around. a MISB one often goes away for a very high price Edited January 14, 2008 by snefroe
LegoFranks Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 Well, seeing as I've been watching this set since the beginning of December, I would think the price is way too high if he isn't selling it? No? I'd pay a max of 250 quid for that set. Not a grand! Especially seeing as I would want to build it! M.
Zzz Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 I was watching this set ever since and I think that in the moment 500
Minifig Lecturer Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 (edited) What do you think it will make? I'd consider parting with 400euro for it. The shipping costs seem extraordinary high. Im sure its not 235$ to post. But lets remember the price of the dollar is very low these days. Maybe next year Edited January 14, 2008 by Calvin
Siegfried Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 can an admin move this to the ebay madness topic, please? Done. I thought the same thing, I just wanted to give this topic some time in the sun! X-D
salty tbone Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 I would think that for asking that much, the seller could at least have a pic of the set. :-|
Scouty Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 It is ridiculous!! *wacko* Check out the shipping costs too! *n* Thanks for sharing! The monorail set has been high, unfortunately. That much is rediculous, for any lego set to 8-
Holodoc Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 If you want to go for a cheaper version look here! And it
Brickadier General Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 Well, it is factory sealed, so the price would be very high. They are very uncommon in that condition. But I agree, that price is unreasonably high. I looked at completed auctions, and the last unopened airport shuttle went for $740 with free shipping. Used ones with the box seem like they would go in the $300 range. Sets without the box but intact instructions seem to go in the $200 range. So condition does make the difference. I would only buy an unopened one for sentimental reasons, and of course I would not open it for that price. That's just silly and a ripoff. If you pay the amount that person will sign you up on your adress. :-| The best part is that people are actually buying it. I looked at his feedback, and a few people have purchased subscriptions from him. Plus, I reported him, but e-bay probably won't do anything about. They like to pull legitimate auctions (I once had a Japanese Sega Saturn game up and they pulled it because they said I violated their taboo on mod chips and import devices. And all I did was say that the person would need an import device to play it on their console...)
Darkest Hope Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 (edited) http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/star-wars-lego-figur...1QQcmdZViewItem Thought I'd just post this! It is ridiculous! Thats not even a real gold C3PO! Edited January 21, 2008 by Darkest Hope
vhtf.hw.lego Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 What more crazy is this with this seller.
