Well this seems the right thread for it so here you go.

$265 Australian for Chrome Vader.

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...ME:B:SS:AU:1123

Excuse me lads, i think my jaw broke when it hit my pc desk.

You have got to be rich and desperate to buy that, im going to watch it to see if anyone buys.

I like how he is in Victoria and selling to feed his habit, and NOT to help out any of the 201 souls murdered last week.

And claims to be the only Aussie with one, WRONG.

I disagree, if i was loaded i would pay that much, but then judging by comments in the UCS i am an ultimate collector.

265 AU?!!! that 's insane !!

if i have the money for one figure of that price, why dont i pay 450 more to get a Death Star then?!

With 265 AU, i can buy a awesome motorilzing AT-AT !!! the MF in that set is even a lot more better than the Chrome Vader...

Yeah but if you were loaded you could buy them all.

Personally i would rather a 2nd hand old AT-AT than the lame motorised one.

Really amazing Collection!

But I think I wouldn't pay so much for this :sceptic:

'Bricks'

quite sad that the amount we spend isnt kept in its value, suppose its the same as buying a car.

I'd say Lego keeps its value a lot better than buying a car.

No crazy eBay deals lately?

Wow, those German auctions look even more extreme than the US ones I've seen. That 6990 monorail went for double what I paid for mine a few months ago. :oh:

It's interesting how small sets from the 80s always command a much higher premium relative to their original prices, compared to big sets from the same period. This has always been the case as long as I can remember.

I follow ebay Lego prices fairly regularly and have not seen any difference from the global recession. MISB sets in general cost the same or more than they used to be.

I was lloking on ebay and found The new 10195 (AT-OT & Dropship). Its now gone but they said it included a bonus. It was $350.00 free shipping and the bonus was the yellow lego store bag. I dont think thats much of a bonus.

Dunno, is it worth that much? There even are the promotionals there.

If that was in the US and I had that much money I would totally get that. The promotionals and so many old rare sets. I love how he has everything stored and those glass cases are awesome. :cry_happy:

Ouch 465 Euro for a used set, dont wanna know how much this is worth in new:

http://cgi.ebay.de/Lego-Eisenbahn-Nr-7750-...A1%7C240%3A1318

I saw it once sold MISB on eBay.de, it went for around 1200 Euro. If I'm right, it was that crazy Milanese Gufolo guy who (as usual) bougth this rare piece.

And the real sick part, is paying 200,99 Euro for a small bad shaped, unwrapped MISB 6358 Fire Engine while you can find one on Bricklink for half the price (only 90 Euro according to www.xe.com), in better shape and still shrink wrapped:

ABC BELGIUM on Bricklink

I guess the 5 Euro extra shipping charges killed the guys :cry_sad:

And the madness continues:

500 Euro for delivery center misb:

321 Euro for airport:

http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewIt...em=260380165252

omg I sold that for 170 euro and was happy, and I bought it for 70 Euro and these guys pay freak sums !!!! O__O

361 Euro for metro park:

http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewIt...em=260380163455

180 Euro for crane wagon:

http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewIt...em=260380152031

get it on ebay for half the price???

Breezway cafe legend for 100 Euro???

Watch out for the 6359 Horse Trailer. The last two times I have seen this one for sale in MISB, it went for more than 300 Euro. It's not that rare though...

I'm wondering how much you'll get for the 6349 Vacation House. I still have that one MISB too. Maybe it's time to get rid of my 40 12V MISB sets

I am upset to myself, that I sold 6399 MISB one year ago, and not now. Sold right now, it could provide a nice car to me :tongue:

Yeah I saw that 6359 go out for 372 Euro, but however it was still wrapped in cellophane, mine is open :)

YOu ve got 40 12V MISB sets??? Omg sell to me please :D (you save ebay fees then and I do the work hehe xD )

Ah yeah I I could have a 6399 for 700$ Misb some time ago and didnt buy it, now I regret it of course :/
