People who want to rip-off others, duh.

I found a 43 year old LEGO set on eBay. The seller says that it was one of the first LEGO sets made and that this is the only one that is still MISB. :oh:

The ones that get me are the people selling huge collections of lego that are actually megablocks, i just have to contact and put them right!

How about this custom featured on the Brother's Brick:

Link to the entry on The Brother's Brick.

The guy is selling it for $489 on Ebay  It's kind of sad he's selling all of those great pieces. Oh well, the money will fund his next great MOC!

I found on Ebay Germany/Austria a LEGo "Custom" seller with ridiculous figures and prices. Besides from various Star Wars LEGO figures with Hasbro actionfigure heads for 50 to 80 bucks, there are some other "offers".

Custom Boba fett as child (just a figure with yellow smile head, brown Snape hair, plain white torso and blue pants for five Euros.

Clone Wars Mace windu with aditional brown head, lightsaber, cape and hood for 23 bucks.

Jango Fett for 100 bucks.

You have to see through all his items. He also offers Wampa Jedis. XD

Really i thought it was expensive, my bad

The numbers are impressive but the pictures are bad. The guy should display the castle walls next to each other to make it more attractive and acurate.

The crazyness in this auction is brought to you by the guy who asked and the seller who answered:

Q. "Since the product name is in a language other than English, do the cars have instructions in English for putting them together? Thanks"

A. "This item was purchased in the US so I believe the instructions would be in English and maybe additional languages or just pictures. The boxes have English, French, and Spanish writing. The box is sealed so I can't see the instructions."

I'm sure anyone who has browsed the US eBay site for Lego has come across some of these auctions. This seller has been around for about a year now, and has sold over 11,000 of those bulk Lego lots. I have purchased from this seller several times, and each lot leaves me more confused. After this last one, I've had enough. If these parts are genuine Lego at all, then they are straight from the pulled, damaged product out of a factory.

I can share more details about my experiences if you like, but I'm curious if anyone else has dealt with this seller, or maybe knows anything about who they are or where they get their parts. I'm usually a soft-spoken guy, and you can see I haven't commented much during my time on Eurobricks. So, I don't want it to seem like I'm making a big deal out of things, but I figured that with the number of these lots sold in the last year, someone out there may have some knowledge.

Thanks,

I have an answer for you. He must have easy access to many of these. It looks like it has parts form Ambush in Cario and other misc SW sets. I'm pretty sure that's where he's getting them from. I doubt he's stealing them or making fakes. Hope that clears things up a bit. :sweet:

EDIT: Update of suspious material

Auction 1

Auction 2

Compare auction 1 and 2. They have the same title and pictures. They are listed under two different prices and ending times. :sceptic: That doesn't look good at all.

Hmm... that's interesting, thanks for pointing that out. I've never heard of those before (being 6 hours from the nearest Lego store). That certainly would answer how this seller has access to many of the same parts and pieces, but I know there's more to the story. I began getting suspicious about a year ago when I bought my first of his lots and found a few parts that were from 2009 Star Wars sets. I recognized them from the photos, but they were still at least a month from stores. (Sorry, I don't remember now which parts exactly they were.)

Also, as I mentioned before, the amount of damaged pieces is scary. Some stand out right away, like marbled bricks or many of the same part with no shine (with a flat, cheap finish like Megabloks). Once I had 2 1x1 round plates that were still connected via "junk" plastic! Do those ever make it into sets?

Lately, though, I've been inspecting them even further and found that even some of the seemingly normal pieces are not right either. For example, the hole on the bottom of every 1x1 plate I just received is uneven and a different size. I compared it to a regular 1x1 plate from an official set, and the difference in quality is clear. I can try to get comparison photos posted later if you like, assuming I can capture the details with my camera.

I still have more evidence to the weirdness and I can elaborate more later

Actually, this part isn't really the issue. The photos he uses (and has been for a year now) are only supposed to "represent" what a typical pile of Lego parts looks like. In reality, the ones he sells are all very different lots of all types of pieces. This would be fine, as long as the ones he sells aren't pulled out of the rejected-pieces recycle bin of the factory .

Those bags are filled with returns, rejects, and so fourth. I don't know why TLG would purposly sell defective parts but it's not his fault. As for the suspious materialI didn't know he reused pictures. It's not the best selling point of the lots. The 1X1 studs are always connected on a spruce. If you look at one you can see the parts where the spruce was connected. TLG removes them before placing them in sets. See?

Now I'm looking like a Lego nerd. Some pictures could be very useful. Please post any more problems with the parts you've recived.
