Lasse D Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 Whoa! I just misread the title as $1000! It isn't unusual that you pay much for collector's items, but this is a bit over the top IMO.
Kikuichimonji Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 Is the Boba minifig really that rare? It only was in one set, Cloud City. The other Boba's don't have painted legs. Still, you're probably better of getting Cloud City.
snefroe Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 Is the Boba minifig really that rare? the seller also says: "im getting married, so i'm selling my entire collection" :-X hm... Mayor, you got married recently, didn't you? so... eh... when are you going to sell that nice blue train of yours? :-| :-P
Hobbes Posted March 15, 2007 Posted March 15, 2007 It only was in one set, Cloud City. The other Boba's don't have painted legs. Still, you're probably better of getting Cloud City. Ah, like those Clone Troopers in 7264... hm... Mayor, you got married recently, didn't you? so... eh... when are you going to sell that nice blue train of yours? :-| :-P Blue train? What blue train?

Hobbes Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 One of the older airports. 200 euro.. It's even the Legend re-release... Some people really have to much money. Well, they're not sold yet. Expensive offers like these exist aplenty on ebay. We try to list those auctions here that actually find a buyer for those high prices ;-)
morris Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=280097881758 isn't it too much?

panda157 Posted April 6, 2007 Posted April 6, 2007 The 2 highest bidders must have made been out of their mind: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=170096790753 The description even says that the black sword is missing.
Hobbes Posted April 6, 2007 Posted April 6, 2007 That's nuts. It's not even MISB and vital stuff is missing. Makes it look like a hoax auction... then again, there are crazy people out there *wacko*
snefroe Posted April 6, 2007 Posted April 6, 2007 That's nuts. It's not even MISB and vital stuff is missing. Makes it look like a hoax auction... then again, there are crazy people out there *wacko* well if you look at the bidding history, i'd say bidder 6 made a mistake by raising his bid to 980 $, coming from 17 $. Maybe he just wanted to bid 98 $, not 980$. in that case he was kinda lucky that somebody else wanted this set at all costs... i don't see any other explenation for this one...
SupaaSayajin Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 Oh..MY..GOOODNESS!!! !?!? This must be a mistake... like this one: http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewIt...49848&rd=1&rd=1 406$ for 6539??? and look the box is even crushed badly... Same set went out in good condition from the same seller misb as well for 87$ lol ^^
snefroe Posted May 9, 2007 Posted May 9, 2007 265 dollars... :-| i don't even like the thing. is it just me or have prices for lego on ebay gone down since the beginning of the year? i've been monitoring prices for space sets mostly and it seems to me that demand for many sets has decreased.... *sweet*
gylman Posted May 10, 2007 Author Posted May 10, 2007 265 dollars... :-| i don't even like the thing. is it just me or have prices for lego on ebay gone down since the beginning of the year? i've been monitoring prices for space sets mostly and it seems to me that demand for many sets has decreased.... *sweet* Space has gone down, I agree. Trains have gone down (maybe not the pre 9V, but I don't follow them so closely). Castle is stable or rising Technic is stable (the old good stuff) Town seems to be rising, but only the good stuff. Adventurers are surprisingly popular and prices are still rising on these
Brick Miner Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 is it just me or have prices for lego on ebay gone down since the beginning of the year? i've been monitoring prices for space sets mostly and it seems to me that demand for many sets has decreased.... *sweet*i could see this... as LEGO has really stepped up there designs this year. many vintage collectors could be finding interest in the new products. i actually fit this category, as im interested in getting into town (these 2007 sets will be my first in 15 years !!!).more money on new stuff equals less money to "jack-up" old stuff... if vintage prices continue to decrease, we know LEGO is doing a good job ;-) -------------------------------------------------- as for WW price (only genre i track regularly)... its hard to say what has happened to the market in 2007, as they never show up anymore ?!?!?! - BrickMiner
snefroe Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 as for WW price (only genre i track regularly)... its hard to say what has happened to the market in 2007, as they never show up anymore ?!?!?!- BrickMiner i expect WW to get expensive in Europe. It seems the popularity of the theme is on the rise and it's likely that new US WW fans will try and get the european sets, now that the US versions are pretty hard to find for a reasonable price.
Hobbes Posted May 11, 2007 Posted May 11, 2007 i don't even like the thing. Excuse me?! EXCUSE ME?!?! E-X-C-U-S-E-M-E?!?!?! Just the best truck evvva... :-| :-P X-D

gylman Posted May 14, 2007 Author Posted May 14, 2007 81$ for an instruction book. 8891 And not even the older, rarer, one (8888) at Bricklink it is available for 4$, which is about what I paid for it on eBay a couple of years ago. Weird. Or stupid. Or I am missing something.
