Ar Sparfel Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 Here is my new maxifig. I wanted to create a maxifig of Leia, and the most emblematic is Leia when she is a slave in Jabba's palace. The principal difficulties were the bra and the hair. The first photo is one of the first version. With the advises of my friends on Legopirate forum, I did over again, here is the result : And the family photo : Quote
Ratshot Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 I think Big Cam will like this You certainly know what your doing concerning these Maxfis, top work Quote
Minxter Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 Amazing again Ar Sparfel! This version can also move arms hands and head right.By the way how are the arms moving actually? Quote
Rick Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 Great. Version 2 indeed looks much better 'proportioned' Quote
Ar Sparfel Posted February 14, 2010 Author Posted February 14, 2010 This version can also move arms hands and head right.By the way how are the arms moving actually? Yes, like the other maxifigs, this one can move the head and the arms. I'll take photos to show how the ars can move. Quote
birdie100 Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 That's awesome! I only have the official maxifig; I called him Bill Ding for my own minor amusement. One ever so subtle tweak on an otherwise perfect moc: the eyes. She really does need the 1 by 1 plates like your other maxifig to finish her off and have her perfect; or was this a deliberate design choice? Quote
menq Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 Very nice maxifig! Good job on the headgear . The second version is indeed an improvement over the first version. Quote
Brickus Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 Great maxifig, keep up the good work. Quote
Legostein Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 Hello! A great addidition to your maxifigure collection. The torso pattern looks very accurate and the facial expression with the thin mouth are exactly like for the small figure. Cheers, ~ Christopher Quote
JCC1004 Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 Another great maxi-fig! Good job. BUt she looks too manish, if you know what I mean. Quote
Ar Sparfel Posted February 15, 2010 Author Posted February 15, 2010 Another great maxi-fig! Good job. BUt she looks too manish, if you know what I mean. Well, if you can explain Quote
drdavewatford Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 I'm trying to be delicate, but shouldn't the bra be a little less....flat ? :-) Fantastic effort, by the way, and I love the family photo ! Dr. D. Quote
Big Cam Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 I think Big Cam will like this You certainly know what your doing concerning these Maxfis, top work ???? I've been singled out! Not sure why? I do like it though, these maxi fig's that keep popping up certainly are impressive. Of course being a fleshie kind of guy I'd prefer her to be in the flesh color, but I'm sure that'd cost quite a bit more. Quote
Ar Sparfel Posted February 15, 2010 Author Posted February 15, 2010 I'm trying to be delicate, but shouldn't the bra be a little less....flat ? I agree with the idea, but it's not very easy to do it, and I want to keep the toy spirit of Lego. And all the minifigs are flat Of course being a fleshie kind of guy I'd prefer her to be in the flesh color, but I'm sure that'd cost quite a bit more. Of course, in the flesh color, it will cost too much unfortunately. I'd like to make my maxifigs in the flesh colour. Quote
John31388 Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 WOW great job, Can't wait to see what the next one you make will be Quote
CommanderFox Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 Thats amazing Ar Sparfel! She looks great! I really like the family photo. Great job! CommanderFox Quote
sok117 Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 Really nice job, I think i'm blushing . The only iff would be that the lips need to be a bit thicker, other then that shes golden. Quote
RileyC Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 Stunning! Its another great maxifig but I think curving the eyebrows a little would make her look more feminine. Nice outie belly button. I do love a chick with an outie! Quote
Ras 74 Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 Maxifigs Rocks!! This new Leia of yours is no exemption. The hair is lovely done for sure. The "printing" is very good indead. I really get inspiration of making my own ones after seeing yours. It will probably be awile though. Don´t hold your breath anyone Quote
JCC1004 Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 Well, if you can explain It's the head. It doesn't resemble Leia's head but rather Luke's. Quote
