Brick Town Talk Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 (edited) I built the van a while ago but added the stickers and made the box art yesterday. Edited February 15, 2010 by Brick Town Talk Quote
Legostein Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 Hello! Now that is a really original vehicle! I have not seen many ice cream trucks yet. My favourite detail is the use of the old space position rockets as loudhailer. Cheers, ~ Christopher Quote
lightningtiger Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 AWESOME MOC ! Love this little ice cream van - cool so to speak design ! Fantastic front end ! I'm a conformist! 'Brick Town Talk' I'm a conformist! ! Quote
Brick Town Talk Posted February 15, 2010 Author Posted February 15, 2010 Bedford CF based?Love it!! I based it on this image. Quote
ImLost Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 Great work! I love the MOC's color scheme in particular- it's even better than the one in the photograph. The only thing that bothers me is the front bumper... it just seems incomplete IMO. Perhaps add some more plates underneath the white triangular ones? Overall, nice truck. Quote
BlueBard Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 Really nice! Love the color shceme and of course tha work with those stickers. Great job! Quote
Big Cam Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 That looks pretty spot on to the picture. Can a fig fit insdie? Quote
The Player Nº1 Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 Good MOC. How did you did the box art? Regards Quote
Rick Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 Nice ice cream van BTT! I really like the color scheme and the rounded front of this classic van. Excellent work. Did you put any interior in the back and indeed: can a fig stand in the back? Quote
sens1992 Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 Wow, this is one nice ice cream truck. This would make for a nice LEGO set. Love it! Quote
dr_spock Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 That's a cool (and cold) MOC. Nice choice of colours. Quote
Brick Town Talk Posted February 15, 2010 Author Posted February 15, 2010 Good MOC. How did you did the box art?Regards I used a picture of the Freight Plane that had a lot of the City background on it, then made the rest in PowerPoint and Photoshop. Quote
prateek Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 Nice job! It looks really accurate. Watch out for little kids Quote
Remy!!!! Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 I used a picture of the Freight Plane that had a lot of the City background on it, then made the rest in PowerPoint and Photoshop. Why do you use Powerpoint? Quote

Brick Town Talk Posted February 15, 2010 Author Posted February 15, 2010 Why do you use Powerpoint? I use either powerpoint or publisher so that all the elements stay separate, I can also add shadows, crop, rotate etc. I screen grab the image and then open it in Photoshop. I'm open to ideas though. I'm only just getting used to Photoshop - I discovered how to add rain to pictures today. Quote
AllanSmith Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 Great model. Do you have photos of the rear? Mr Whippy in New Zealand had Bedfords too. They have more modern vans now. Don't leave your LEGO ice cream van in the sun or this might happen: Quote
ACCURATEin Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 Awesome ice cream truck! I started on one yesterday and put the stickers on a couple hours ago. Yours looks so good I feel like i need to start over again haha. Quote
