Brainbox Posted December 14, 2006 Posted December 14, 2006 Yesterday I saw James Bond, Never say never again. An unofficial Bond movie with Sean Connery. Very entertaining! I don't think i've ever seen it all the way through. I keep seeing bits of it. Quote
Lord Thrawn Posted December 21, 2006 Posted December 21, 2006 I watched Casino Royale today. It was a good film, but the start wasn't very action packed, the end was slow, and it all seemed to drag a bit. However, there were some very good laughs and twists in the film, so I'll probably end up getting it on DVD. Quote
Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted December 21, 2006 Eurobricks Emperor Posted December 21, 2006 I watched Casino Royale today. It was a good film, but the start wasn't very action packed, the end was slow, and it all seemed to drag a bit. However, there were some very good laughs and twists in the film, so I'll probably end up getting it on DVD. I'm really looking forward to see this movie (since I'm a big Bond fan). I hope to see it next week... Quote
Vader Posted December 23, 2006 Posted December 23, 2006 Rocky Balboa, it was ok but nothing special im sorry to say. Im sure a certain green admin will love it though :-D ;-) Quote

Brainbox Posted December 27, 2006 Posted December 27, 2006 Pirates of the Caribbean: The Cure of the Black Pearl on BBC1 yesterday, and Dead Man's Chest straight after on DVD. My sister got it for Christmas. Quote
Aredhel Posted December 27, 2006 Posted December 27, 2006 Just came back from "A night at the museum" a few minutes ago! Very nice movie and very funny!!! :'-) Quote
JoeMI6 Posted December 28, 2006 Posted December 28, 2006 Pulp Fiction and Shaun of the Dead. They're both great films. One makes you laugh out loud, and the other just blows you away. SLJ is definitely at his best, and John Travolta makes a nice partner. I think I'll surely be checking some of QT's other films. Quote
Lord Thrawn Posted January 1, 2007 Posted January 1, 2007 I watched PoTC 2. Not as good as in the cinema but still rather cool. Quote
PSPguy Posted January 1, 2007 Posted January 1, 2007 Black Christmas. I am a horror maniac. *skull* *skull* Quote
El Bucanero Posted January 1, 2007 Posted January 1, 2007 I watched PoTC 2. Not as good as in the cinema but still rather cool. You're absolutly right! I have the same feeling... Quote
El Bucanero Posted January 2, 2007 Posted January 2, 2007 I'm probably gonna watch Casino Royale tonight.... From what I hear, it seems to be a great movie despite the fact Daniel Craig plays 007..... Quote
Kikuichimonji Posted January 2, 2007 Posted January 2, 2007 V for Vendetta. Again. I liked it just as much as the first time around, great movie! I also watched The Discovery of Heaven, which is pretty good (but the book is even better ;-)) Quote
JoeMI6 Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 I saw Dirty Dancing with my girlfriend yesterday. Well, I say saw, but I didn't pay much attention to the film. It is pretty good though. Quote
Aredhel Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 Daniel and I just returned from "the Prestige" directed by Christopher Nolan (Batman Begins, Memento) with Hugh Jackman, Christian Bale, M Quote
Kikuichimonji Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 Saw Deja-vu wednesday. Too much plot holes at the end for my liking, but it was quite entertaining :-) Quote
Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted January 5, 2007 Eurobricks Emperor Posted January 5, 2007 Just watched "The departed". Not a bad movie but not a great one. Quote
Shakar Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 Eragon. Bah, bad story. If they followed the storyline of the book, the true story, it would have been much better. Shakar Quote
Khorne Posted January 7, 2007 Posted January 7, 2007 I watched Casino Royale today. I loved it. It is now one of my favourite Bond movies. Daniel Craig isn't half bad, I think I even like him better than Brosnan. Of course, Eva Green ain't half bad too *wub* . On a side note *SPOILER!!!* I thought that Vesper wouldn't die because I thought she was Miss Moneypenny (because of the line on the train: VL"I'm your money"; JB"Every penny of it"). Also, the monkeyman chase was great, I loved it! All in all, one of the best movies I've seen lately. All those who didn't see it yet, defenatly go watch it *y* !!! Quote
Kikuichimonji Posted January 7, 2007 Posted January 7, 2007 Akira. Watched again to try and answer some questions I had after the first time. As a result, I liked it even better this time around. A true classic! Quote
xwingyoda Posted January 16, 2007 Posted January 16, 2007 Saw 2 great movies: Election 1 & Election 2 by Johnnie To *y* *y* Its how a HK triad elects their representative every 2 years... On the first a leader is elected and what will happen in the two when its reelection time ?? Very good movies with great score !! A must see for tha fans of the genre ;-) *yoda* Quote
xwingyoda Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 I just saw a really fantastic movie last night !! Harsh Times !! In France you have to be 12 at least to see it, but I wouldn't want a 12 years old kid to see a really psycopathic movie :-D Christian Bale (one of the best actors IMO) plays (and also produced) this seemingly small budget movie which relates the life of an ex military baddass who is really ducked up by the military and tries to have a normal life by entering the LAPD !! But he has a really bad history of drinking, smoking and what have you, and you can consider that its really hell !! Bale delivers a so fantastic pycho !! I won't say more but G, that guy looks crazy 8- Quote
oo7 Posted January 24, 2007 Posted January 24, 2007 Eragon. Bah, bad story. If they followed the storyline of the book, the true story, it would have been much better. Yeah, that was much more of a 'fun family adventure' than a 'wonderful soaring fantasy'. I thought the story was good, because you see, it is a COMPLETE AND TOTAL RIP-OFF OF STAR WARS EPISODE IV with an atmosphere desperatley tryng to copy the widely sucessful one of LOTR. Think about it. The first one, that is. Quote
xwingyoda Posted January 26, 2007 Posted January 26, 2007 Saw Rocky Balboa yesterday and the obly thing that comes to my mind this very instant is *wub* Seriously this is a fantastic movie !! It can be divided in 2 gross parts: 1) background history of Rocky !! Its a rather long part of the movie but its brilliant !! It really shows Rocky as in the first movie, touching !! Whatever the "troubles" he has, he always remain funny and coherent with himself !! He doesn't let anything ruinning who he really is ;-) Very sentimental and touching !! 2) the prep (rather short like all the Rocky movies) and the fight !! Its really as great as the 2 first ones and is filmed in a really sensational way 8- Quote
