Junior Shark Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 The Perfect Storm. Ok. One of those movies that make you really skeptical of the "Based on a True Story" label. Oh, and Everest. As a mountaineer and lover of Into Thin Air (you should read it!), this movie was a no-brainer. Quote
Kintobor Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 Finally sat down and watched Jaws. I'm super impressed with the film. This was a film that was relatively hyped up for me, and it for once didn't disappoint. I enjoyed that the film was more of a suspenseful drama than an actual horror movie, although it certainly managed to make me jump a few times... stupid head in the boat... Quote
Umbra-Manis Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 I just finished The Guns of Navarone last night. Really great film, and a tad long, but very interesting. Quote
Forresto Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 Just sat down with a friend this morning and saw The Wicker Man with Nicolas Cage. Quote
Space Police XVIII Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 Finally watched the new Star Wars. Who WROTE that? who approved it? I hope they get a papercut on their genitals every day for a week. Quote

Im a brickmaster. Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 Finally watched the new Star Wars. Who WROTE that? who approved it? I hope they get a papercut on their genitals every day for a week. Bitter Betsy over here Quote

Artanis I Posted April 26, 2016 Posted April 26, 2016 I have to say that I was very disappointed the first time I saw it. But I thought about it more, and considered that it needs to set things up for the rest of the trilogy. That fixed a few of my biggest gripes, and some others aren't really all that important. I've seen it 5 times now, it's not my favourite but none of the other movies were perfect either. I rate it as 2nd, 3rd or 4th out of the SW live action movies so far. Quote

Not trying to derail the thread but I've always thought the best Star Wars stuff was the things that happen off of the Silver Screen, like The Clone Wars show and the books and stuff. Anyway, I saw Jungle Book. Awesome movie! Will definitely purchase Quote
Iria Posted April 26, 2016 Posted April 26, 2016 High Plains Drifter. I don't know how it is rated so highly. There were so many bad parts to it from some really cringe-worthy scenes to the obvious ketchup for blood. Too bad, because as a whole it had some interesting story ideas and symbolism. Quote
dr_spock Posted April 27, 2016 Posted April 27, 2016 Watched the Star Wars: The Force Awakens. I think it's better than the prequels. Quote
Actor Builder Posted April 27, 2016 Posted April 27, 2016 I saw Batman. The one from 1989. It was pretty good. Jack Nicholson played the Joker, who's name was Jack...So that was annoying. Just like The Shining, I couldn't help but have my suspension of disbelief broken every time they called Jack, "Jack". I'm weird like that. Quote
N-4K0 Posted April 27, 2016 Posted April 27, 2016 Captain America: Civil War at the cinema. Deadpool later when I got home. Quote
Iria Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 Wake in Fright. Kind of depressing, but I think that was the point. Quote
PicnicBasketSam Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 Last movie on the big screen was Batman v. Superman back in April. What an awful movie that was. The actual last movie I watched was The Force Awakens, which was more awesome in the theater, but still great. Quote
Thelonious Sparke Posted May 7, 2016 Posted May 7, 2016 James Bond: The Spied Who Loved Me. I'm not a great fan of 007 films, but nothing else was on the television, so either this or a reality show. Quote
samurai-turtle Posted May 8, 2016 Posted May 8, 2016 I got a ticket for Captain America. So, I will be seeing it in about an hour. But, eariler I watched (on DVD) Inside Out & Justice League vs Teen Titans. Quote
Actor Builder Posted May 8, 2016 Posted May 8, 2016 My brother introduced me to Reservoir Dogs, which has nothing to do with reservoirs or dogs. It was weird. 269 F-Bombs in 99 minutes, according to Google. Quote
