-zenn Posted September 20, 2016 Posted September 20, 2016 Dredd; because I'm in a 'scifi dystopia' mood the past couple of weeks. *I want a sequel! Quote
x105Black Posted September 20, 2016 Posted September 20, 2016 I watched Blank Check. I loved that movie as a kid. Still good. Quote
JJ2 Posted September 20, 2016 Posted September 20, 2016 I just watched Hoosiers, cool old basketball movie. Quote
x105Black Posted September 21, 2016 Posted September 21, 2016 I watched Jungle 2 Jungle. It was on. Quote
PicnicBasketSam Posted September 21, 2016 Posted September 21, 2016 Not a movie, really, but today I finished binging the second season of Star Wars Rebels. Most of it was entertaining and well-animated filler, but the intro was really cool and the finale was incredible. Anybody who won't give the animated shows a chance really needs to watch it. I cannot wait to see where the series goes from here... Ezra's tapping into the dark side, Maul's back in business, Ahsoka's out of the picture, Kanan's blind, and yet again we have more dead Inquisitors... and now, on Saturday, we have Thrawn. Woo-hoo! I hope Season 3 actually has him in it more... Oh, and before the third season premieres, I have hunted down the original Thrawn literature! This ought to be fun. Quote
-zenn Posted September 22, 2016 Posted September 22, 2016 Just seen the new Ghostbuster movie; Kinda 'meh', digged the small cameo's and the overall look of the ghost, but the characters just haven't the appeal as the oldschool movie's. Quote
1980-Something-Space-Guy Posted September 23, 2016 Posted September 23, 2016 Been rewatching the Dark Knight trilogy. It made me so glad I got the Tumbler! Quote
N-4K0 Posted September 23, 2016 Posted September 23, 2016 I watched The Magnificent Seven at the premiere tonight. Quote
BrickTamland Posted September 24, 2016 Posted September 24, 2016 Excalibur, truly an epic. I was most disappointed that no one had recommended it to me earlier, instantly one of my favorites. Quote
PicnicBasketSam Posted September 25, 2016 Posted September 25, 2016 (edited) I've watched quite a few movies since the forum upgrade. The Magnificent Seven (2016)- I quite liked it. Very exciting, Chris Pratt totally stole the show, but the last third was too loud. The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies- very disappointing and ridiculous, although Dain was great. Batman: Assault on Arkham. I thought it was a much better Suicide Squad movie than Suicide Squad was, but I'm not sure how it got away with a PG-13 rating. xboxtravis7992 Posted September 25, 2016 Posted September 25, 2016 The Magnificent Seven last night. Makes me wish Lego still had a Western theme, or had approved the Western Modular town back when Cuusoo just started out. At least I got some Lone Ranger sets when that was around... Quote

It was. Did you watch the short or extended version? The extended one was less disappointing and less ridiculous (due to better pacing and substance) but still the least of the 6 movies. Quote
x105Black Posted September 26, 2016 Posted September 26, 2016 I watched Mixed Nuts. Good movie, but why a Christmas movie was on TV this early in the year is beyond me. Quote
samurai-turtle Posted September 26, 2016 Posted September 26, 2016 I watched three of them. First on Batman: the Killing Joke not exactly what I expected. But if you want to see Batman laugh this is the movie to watch. The second one TMNT: Out of the Shadows I guess this is better than the last one. This is kinda of homage to the 80's cartoon. (Of course I am wondering what Batman & Green Arrow are doing hanging out with the Turtles. ) Last movie is DC Super Hero Girls: Hero of the Year. OK movie for what it is. Plus it come with "starter shorts" that lead up to the main feature. (If you wanted to know how it started before the main movie. Or you could do what I did and watched them after the main movie. ) Quote

But hey, at least now we have Mark Hamill delivering all those awesome lines! Quote
Forresto Posted September 26, 2016 Posted September 26, 2016 The 1933 original version of King Kong. Considering the technology of the time and the lack of computers for visual effects this movie is absolute genius, of course that's due to the incredible vision of Ray Harryhausen. The story and certain elements of the film such as the natives being mostly white people in dark makeup are a bit sketchy but of course a total product of 1933. That's what I enjoy most about the film is that how in certain ways such as the special effects, this film is decades ahead of it's time while in others still trapped in the 19th century. I would argue that despite it's age this film still stands strong against many modern action flicks. Quote
npgcole Posted September 26, 2016 Posted September 26, 2016 Dracula, Frankenstein, and the Wolfman, three classic monster movies. Still very interesting to watch in this day and age. Quote
Robert8 Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 Stigmata But it was weird because it had the alternate ending Quote
1980-Something-Space-Guy Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 I've started watching "The Man who Knew Infinity". Very interesting! Quote
x105Black Posted September 28, 2016 Posted September 28, 2016 I watches Three Fugitives. I wish I hadn't. Quote
Giantorange Posted September 28, 2016 Posted September 28, 2016 Cannonball run. Refreshingly un-PC Quote
