Forresto Posted November 11, 2016 Posted November 11, 2016 (edited) This is a weird one. I watched every scene of Palpatine throughout all of the Star Wars movies. He's not the only aspect of the prequels I enjoy but he's the best part of the prequels I love. Excellent performance! Edited November 11, 2016 by Forresto Quote

Iria Posted November 13, 2016 Posted November 13, 2016 3 hours ago, Forresto said: How was it? I really enjoyed it. It was a very thoughtful movie that presented an interesting way of thinking. It's definitely not invasion movie, like some of the reviews described it as. Very much a simple first contact film in terms of action, but some some thought provoking ideas and a few nice visuals. rodiziorobs Posted November 16, 2016 Posted November 16, 2016 Dr. Strange It was good. Better than expected in some regards, but overall I'd say it was just/merely fine. The visuals were really well done, the supporting characters were generally a little better than Cumberbatch, and overall it was quite watchable. However, it followed the tendency of Marvel movies to repeatedly break the tension with a one-liner or visual gag. Usually this doesn't bother me, but in Dr. Strange there are a few too many instances where the movie set the mood only to spoil it prematurely. Quote
x105Black Posted November 16, 2016 Posted November 16, 2016 I watched Drowning Mona again. Love this movie. Seen it twice in the last couple weeks. Of course, that's because I work in broadcasting, and it was on twice while I was at work, but it's still great. Quote
PicnicBasketSam Posted November 21, 2016 Posted November 21, 2016 Went to see Doctor Strange last weekend. Thoroughly enjoyable Marvel film... it looks so cool that it has to be seen in theaters. Yesterday, I went to go see Arrival... that was a splendid movie. I won't go into much detail, but if you like more thoughtful sci-fi, you'll love it. Quote
Vindicare Posted November 24, 2016 Posted November 24, 2016 (edited) Fantatsic Beasts and Where to Find Them It was refreshing to watch a Harry Potter movie & not nitpick it. I thought it was amazing. I loved seeing the "WB" accompanied by Hedwigs Theme again. Hearing some familiar names & discovering more about the wizarding world was great fun. Columbus019 Posted November 26, 2016 Posted November 26, 2016 Just saw Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. It was fantastic. Although the American wizarding society is clearly very misjudged in it's laws about muggles, or no-mag's. Newt's case was amazing though, might end up moccing it. Columbus Quote
xboxtravis7992 Posted November 27, 2016 Posted November 27, 2016 (edited) Doctor Strange two weeks back, Fantastic Beasts last week, Moana yesterday. All very good films. My dad is also trying to get me to see Hacksaw Ridge sometime soon too. Tis' the season for great movies. Edited November 27, 2016 by xboxtravis7992 Quote
ZootyCutie Posted November 27, 2016 Posted November 27, 2016 Saw Moana today and Fantastic Beasts a couple days ago, both were amazing. Quote
BrickJagger Posted November 27, 2016 Posted November 27, 2016 I saw Fantastic Beasts on Friday, I have mixed feelings about it. I liked it overall as a movie but there was very little context given for certain events in the movie, and there were too many subplots going on about halfway through the movie. The main issue I have with it is that the ending seemed very final and the movie could have worked as a standalone. However, Rowling has said that there are going to be not one, not two, but four sequels. If that's truly the case, then this movie did not leave enough plotlines open for future films. Quote
Vindicare Posted November 28, 2016 Posted November 28, 2016 Ip Man. Pretty amazing martial arts movie. Chronicling part of the life of Bruce Lee's master. Quote
-zenn Posted November 29, 2016 Posted November 29, 2016 Well, not actually a movie... But I've been playing a lot of COD:IW Multiplayer and noticed that the voice of 'Wolverines - James Rhomer' sounded familiar. So looked it up, turned out it was voice acted by James Morrison, also known as lieutenant colonel T.C. McQueen of the series 'Space Above and Beyond' So started to watch SAaB again. For those who might remember, or maybe don't known what I'm talking about; Quote
Realshow Posted December 5, 2016 Posted December 5, 2016 The Angry Birds movie. I know not everyone liked that movie but I thought it was surprisingly solid. Not the best movie ever but not bad either. Quote
Artanis I Posted December 6, 2016 Posted December 6, 2016 Rocky IV. Not very good. Apollo Creed gets what he asks for, the fight scenes are better than previous movies (punch sounds are more ridiculous though) but not much else going for it. Quote

What you didn't like watching Rocky beat up Andre Kirilenko on 'roids? My parents pull that movie up whenever it is on TV and I think it is very goofy. I have never seen all of the original Rocky, or even the more recent Creed but I have heard those are far better films. Quote
Aanchir Posted December 10, 2016 Posted December 10, 2016 I saw Moana yesterday and it was AMAZING! I'm still listening to the soundtrack and loving it! I'm glad LEGO has already got Moana sets out but I hope that they sell well so there can be many more in the future. A Quote

I'd love to see a kakamora ship set! Quote
samurai-turtle Posted December 17, 2016 Posted December 17, 2016 (edited) Technical it was yesterday, but I ended up see Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. The theater had a 7p & 9:30p early showing of the movie. I went to the 9:30p showing. It was to late for the 7p show when I found out about the early viewing. Leo604 Posted December 19, 2016 Posted December 19, 2016 Saw Rogue One on Friday, and rewatched Pirates of Silicon Valley yesterday. Not the greatest movie but still a cool watch about the rise of Apple and Microsoft. Quote
