Shakar Posted April 22, 2007 Posted April 22, 2007 Saw Mr Bean's Holiday today! Brilliant and funny, alot better than the first movie IMO. Shakar Quote
Darth Doggfather Posted April 22, 2007 Posted April 22, 2007 I just saw Borat. Had me in stitches through the entire movie. I watched it twice just this morning. The fight scene is a little.... disturbing, though. Quote
casewindu Posted April 23, 2007 Posted April 23, 2007 i went to see "blades of glory" at the weekend, funny film i laughed on a number of occasions! :-D Quote
CopMike Posted May 1, 2007 Posted May 1, 2007 RAS & I saw Shooter today, good but a bit to much execution-stile firing in the end |-/! Stay On Target On copmike Quote
xwingyoda Posted May 4, 2007 Posted May 4, 2007 Just saw Spidey 3 yesterday and I really was SO disappointed by it |-/ Seriously, it suffers from the same problems as ROTS: way too much of the love story between MJ and Peter (tks God, MJ is less irritating than Padme) !! Lets stay on the psyche of characters, its really overdone and seriously lacks some subtilities !! Especially the ending that really is BAD !! Also, since its so cheesy characters centered, it clearly shows that Tobey Can NOT act !! G he is terrible !! Like ROTS, the movie has way too many humourous scenes (especially when Peter is on Symbiote Mode On !!). A little bit is OK, but not to that extent !! Its bloody ridiculous !! Tks there are some fantastic CGIs (becoming of Sandman, all of Sandman scenes) and great fight scenes 8- Quote
rexcal Posted May 4, 2007 Posted May 4, 2007 @xwingyoda: Is it really already official that Sam Raimi and Tobey Maguire won't be part of an upcoming 4th episode? Quote
xwingyoda Posted May 5, 2007 Posted May 5, 2007 @xwingyoda:Is it really already official that Sam Raimi and Tobey Maguire won't be part of an upcoming 4th episode? I heard it in a movie TV show, so I really thinks he quits !! Which is actually a good thing because we need fresh blood !! Bear in mind that he didn't want Venom in the first place (one of the best villain ever IMO) and he changed his mind due to the pressure of the production !! I heard rumours that Edward Norton could become Spidey 8- Quote

Brainbox Posted May 5, 2007 Posted May 5, 2007 I too went to see Spider-man. True, it did lack a bit of action, but the comics references and the fantastic CGI made up for it a bit. The belltower sequence was very true to form, and Venom and Sandman both looked really good. It did have a few funny moments in parts too, which balanced the 'torment' caused by the alien suit. I don't think it was as good as the second one, but it certainly wasn't bad. Quote
JoeMI6 Posted May 5, 2007 Posted May 5, 2007 I've seen Spiderman 3 also, but think it was on par, if not a step above the other movies. There was a lot pushed in there, and we could have possibly seen a bit more of Venom, but some of the action was truly fantastic. I never felt it was tedious and I really enjoyed the arc of the film. It's too bad there might not be a proper fourth movie, but I think number 3 is a fitting, if not fantastic end to possibly the best Comic book film series. Quote
Brainbox Posted May 8, 2007 Posted May 8, 2007 and we could have possibly seen a bit more of Venom Definately. It felt as if he was only in for a second before he was gone. Quote
CopMike Posted May 9, 2007 Posted May 9, 2007 Monday 7th - Spider-man 3 with RAS. Tuesday 8th - Spider-man 3 with my ex girlfriends boys. It Quote
JoeMI6 Posted May 12, 2007 Posted May 12, 2007 Spiderman 3 again. Still brilliant. Good sequels on. Quote
Piranha Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 I went to go see Spiderman 3 sometime ago Was a great movie :-) yeah venom only lasted for a short while but he isn't supposed to die Carnage needs to be born first :-D The action scenes were awesome I didn't think they talked too much The talking scenes are like the second best parts hehe when Peter was showing off and dancing threw the streets was hilarious So was the part when spidey wearing the black suit grabs Eddie's camera and smashes it Then eddie says "What the hell?" X-D I don't know why but that was probably the funniest part in thew whole movie Spiderman 4 On Piranha Quote
Wobo Ihi Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 I haven't seen Spidey 3 yet. I'm not sure if I want to actually... :-/ Anyway, I saw The Triplettes of Bellville quite recently. Lovely animation. Quote
Aredhel Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 I went to Pirates of the Caribbean 3 yesterday evening *wub* . The effects are really great and its a very good movie. But there are very much confusing scenes, where you do not know who is on whos side etc. All in all, I will see it again in cinema (yesterday I watched it in german, but I will watch it in english then)! -Aredhel Quote
JINZONINGEN73 Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 Shrek 3. A decent enough episode. Kinda' putters out towards the end... Not enough new characters introduced who were interesting, unlike the 1st and 2nd movies. Still, a decent watch, a decent addition to the series. They just better do a WAY better job if they're thinking of doing a 4th. Quote

The copy I have was filmed off a reel showing with no patrons present in the theater. (I'm a dirty, stinking, cutthroat, piratey-lookin' downloader of movies.) Quote
xwingyoda Posted May 26, 2007 Posted May 26, 2007 I saw POTC3 - At world's end and I was just blown away with that movie 8- Quote
JINZONINGEN73 Posted May 26, 2007 Posted May 26, 2007 Spiderman 3. I HATE Marvel, but I thought this was decent. They had ALOT of stuff to cover, as well as adding in the junk to get the "chick flick" portion of the audience interested. I think they accomplished it, and that anyone but Sam Raimi doing it would've blown it royally. I didn't mind the airtime of Venom, but I did mind that: -His voice was mostly the wimpy fruitcake inside the symbiote. --Too much of his airtime was done in that same wimpy "unmasked human mode". It REALLY felt like he was rushed, with them saving production time and cost by reducing scenes with the full symbiote dealie goin' on. Still, a pretty good movie... and further proof that George Lucas is an arrogant old jerk. (He called the movie "Silly", saying it had nothing beyond the CGI). Yeah, ok you elitist bully. And he thinks "Empire Strikes Back was the worst in the series", too. Fruitcake. Quote
Mr Hobbles Posted May 26, 2007 Posted May 26, 2007 Zodiac. Came out very disappointed. It's not a bad movie, infact the cinematography, music and acting was excellent. But it was the story that let it down. Very slow moving with constant jumping between times and places. Not to mention the end is very unsatisfying. It's like the conclusion was rushed. I know it's "based" on a real story, but it shouldn't have been made into a movie if it was going to come out this dull. Just when you think something good is going to happen, it goes and gets dull again. It's like the movie just ends, and then the next twenty years are summed up with three screens of text to read. Scouty Posted May 27, 2007 Posted May 27, 2007 Pirates of the Carribean: At Worlds End Warning: I must say, I really enjoyed this one. Their were alot of plot twists, alot of betrayels, and a lot of action and fight sequences. That ship-of-the-line the Endeavure (I believe) was quite impressive and as well as the fall of Beckette, as well as the East Indian Company perhaps. But what an ending. Lot's of deaths though. Norrington, Elizabeth's father, Davy Jones. I must say, this was a really good movie. It may even be better than the first. The score is just beautiful (mind that I have all three soundtracks for my hearing pleasure X-D ). :GG: I really liked it. Quote
