Guest Nightmare_Zero Posted October 14, 2007 Posted October 14, 2007 Resident Evil 3 Extinction Good movie, but not as good as the other two. :-/ Quote
Lord Thrawn Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 I watched The Nightmare Before Christmas in 3D at my local cinema. Wow, it's great without the glasses but with it's a dream. Quote
andy_0306uk Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 I watched 'Knocked Up' on HD-DVD. Kinda funny at the beginning but then becomes the predictable moral story of a layabout bloke coming good and being a responsible father *n* *n* Quote
xwingyoda Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 Went to see a long and boring movie yesterday called Michael Clayton G that movie is long, repetitive, lousy psychology and with loads of scenari faults !! How can Sydney Pollack, Georgie "what else" Clooney and Steven Soderbergh can produce such a bad movie ?? That is really intreguing |-/ *yoda* Quote
Brainbox Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 On Thursday night I watched FF2: Rise of the Silver Surfer, which I'd picked up in town in the afternoon. As good as it was the first time I saw it, nice level of comics-orientation, and my dad enjoyed it despite not being familiar with the characters. Then on Sunday night I watched Raiders of the Lost Ark which my dad had bought (in a box set) for Quote
yellost Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 I watched The Nightmare Before Christmas in 3D at my local cinema. Wow, it's great without the glasses but with it's a dream. I was actually wondering what was the point of it... I mean the first one is almost at the top of my top 5, so I'm kinda hard on anything that tries to desecrate it but still... Is it CGI or did they manage to work from the original material with puppets and stop motion? Quote
Opproperaar Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 Went to see BenX for with the class for cultural science last Friday and by god, I don't know what to say. Neither positive nor negative, they kinda cancel each other out ;-) A Flemish (yes you don't get those that often) movie which won three awards at the 31st Montreal World Film Festival: the Grand Prix des Am Quote
Vader Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 Watched the new TMNT film again today, as i grew up watching the old cartoon and the new one more recently i really enjoyed it. What can i say i love those turtles X-D Quote
DB24 Posted October 24, 2007 Posted October 24, 2007 Just watched Scarface, what can i say? Its a classic! 10/10 *wub* Also watched Road Trip again, that has to be my favourite teen movie! So many funny scenes. Quote
Batbrick Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 (edited) Just watched my favourite animated movie and possibly one of my favourite movies of all time: Batman: Mask of Phantasm It was released the same year as The Lion King, and I believe IMO that it deserved the academy award instead of the Lion King. For those of you Batfans that don't know it (quite a lot I'd imagine) I recommend it. It is a brilliant tale of revenge, promise, justice and sadness. I'd even go as far as saying it is better than all the Batman movies (save Batman and Robin, and Forever, as they were both awful! :-X ) put together. And for the Star Wars fans, your own Luke Skywalker, Mark Hamill, voices a wonderfully demented Joker! I Am FEAR Incarnate! *skull* Edited October 29, 2007 by Batbrick Quote
xwingyoda Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 Watched a cool surfury animated movie Surfs Up Its really a cool and funy animation film, with some great acting and beautifull CGIs 8- Quote
DB24 Posted October 30, 2007 Posted October 30, 2007 Watched Shaun of the Dead the other night, wow! Best movie i saw since Hot Fuzz! Bloody hell those blokes are funny, can't wait until they make their next movie. 9/10 Quote
Vader Posted October 30, 2007 Posted October 30, 2007 Wedding Crashers..... I love that film, it has some great lines and is pure comedy. Quote
Opproperaar Posted October 31, 2007 Posted October 31, 2007 (edited) Saw Shichinin no samurai recently. (Seven Samurai) a movie by Akira Kurosawa. I must say that my dad had to encourage me to watch it as it's a a Japanese black and white movie from the 50s but once I saw it, I was sold. Moments of relieving, funny, black humour are thrown in between quite well filmed action scenes and scenes which show the preparation of the defence against the robbing bandits, all against the backdrop of the nice and beautiful Japanese landscape. That movie is in short, awesome, the Magnificent Seven was based on it. I have discovered some other great works by Kurosawa too. And now I'm even beginning to like black and white movies. A good example that not all teenagers are addicted to action packed Hollywood crap. *y* I'd recommend it to all. Edited October 31, 2007 by Hairy Ruben Quote

So much of what we now take for granted in "modern" movies is based on this classic. Quote
Aredhel Posted October 31, 2007 Posted October 31, 2007 I have seen "Lissi und der wilde Kaiser" which is a movie from a german comedian, this time animated... Really cool, but he did do better things though. -Aredhel Quote
Hewman Posted October 31, 2007 Posted October 31, 2007 Eastern Promises with Naomi Watts and that Viggo guy from Lord of the Rings, ok, but not as good as the reviews cracked it up to be. Quote

Two, they always pick the most severe autistic people for movies like that and stereotype them. For the love of God, not every autistic child can break complicated codes nor summarize entire columns of numbers and figures and letters. Really, 8- Quote
Lord Of Pies Posted November 1, 2007 Posted November 1, 2007 I saw "March of the Penguins" in science! Well some of it anyway. It was quite good, and educational too! (BTW, it was about penguins. X-D ) Quote
