Batbrick Posted December 10, 2007 Posted December 10, 2007 Huh? Gordon's been in the show since Season 3. He doesn't make as many appearances as other characters, but he still is most certainly there. Clearly your end of post message is right! :-P (J/k) __________ Oh, so it is! :-$ I have watched later seasons, he must just pop-up every-so-often. Clearly batbrick's mind has turned to mush! *wacko* Quote
ExoBuilder Posted December 12, 2007 Posted December 12, 2007 Anyway, back on topic. I just watched Behind Enemy Lines. If you like war films, you definitely have to see this, I definitely recommend this! *y* *y* Quote
JINZONINGEN73 Posted December 13, 2007 Posted December 13, 2007 "The Man from Earth" Briefly, a college professor, after 20 years at his school, decides to up and leave. Barging in on his moving day, his colleagues ask him what's what. He then entertains them with a story asking "what if a man who does not die or age were to still exist from the caveman days"? ...which turns out to be him. Watch as his fellow eggheads lose their shit with every new piece of world history he destroys for them. It was a good movie, despite my feeling that something or someone "new age" was in on the script (and unfortunately, the word "scientologist" popped up once). But it was still quite entertaining... especially his reference to another like himself (most presumably, Saint Germain). The end was only mildly predictable, but not so that it was annoying and slap-in-the-face. Here's the bad news... it's a bit of an independent movie, so you're probably not going to see it unless you download it. Quote
Aredhel Posted December 13, 2007 Posted December 13, 2007 I did watch the golden compass yesterday evening! Must say a really great and fantastic movie... I do not know the books, but I heard there would be missing much... I can tell more when I did read them... Just wanna get them now! Right now I am watching Transformers on DVD... Really loved that in cinema... Wanna see it there again! Greetings, Aredhel Quote
Batbrick Posted December 16, 2007 Posted December 16, 2007 Just finished watching Goldfinger on VHS, man I love that movie *wub* Sean Connery is the best James Bond, Oddjob is the best henchman, and Goldfinger is the best baddie : "No Mr . Bond I expect you to DIE!" :-D And Pussy Galore is the best bondgirl. Classics ON! Nothing to say, but Batbrick Away! >:-) Quote

Connery is the best Bond, Oddjob is the best henchman, not so sure if Goldfinger is the best, and as for Pussy Galore, I've seen better. U_T Quote
Brainbox Posted December 16, 2007 Posted December 16, 2007 Watched Bionicle: Mask of Light this afternoon. Well, not a classic, but it's a Lego film, so what more can you ask for? Besides, I wanted to get a good look at Turaga Vakama's movie design. Quote

Connery is the best Bond, Oddjob is the best henchman, not so sure if Goldfinger is the best, and as for Pussy Galore, I've seen better.U_T __________ Yeah, I was probably exaggerating :-$ But I think it is still superior to CR, as though it was a great movie, it sacrificed classic for modern to me. Not a bad choice, but I thought the pacing was pretty uneven in places to. Nothing to Say, but Batbrick Away! >:-) Quote
ExoBuilder Posted December 16, 2007 Posted December 16, 2007 I watched You, me and Dupree last night, it was pretty funny but I wouldn't spend your money on it. >:-( *n* Quote
Matn Posted December 22, 2007 Posted December 22, 2007 The day before yesterday I watched Harry Potter and the prisoner of Azkaban. Yesterdaymorning I watched the Goblet of Fire and because I had good points for school (exams) my dad rented the Order of the Phoenix (which I watched in de cinemas). I especially like the Order and prisoner of Azkaban. Best books and movies! Quote
Zzz Posted December 22, 2007 Posted December 22, 2007 (edited) I wanted to watch something simple and tried Triple X on telly... after 15 minutes I had my laptop on my knees, after half an hour telly was off! >:-) But last saturday I watched Bound by the Warczawski brothers (5th time perhaps) and I like it a lot! It is not too surprising but almost like a good theatre piece... very limited and that's why it is nice! *y* girlpower ON! :-) Edited December 22, 2007 by Zzz Quote
Brainbox Posted December 24, 2007 Posted December 24, 2007 Watched two films on TV yesterday. The first was 'Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow.' Okay, so not a classic film, but very enjoyable nonetheless. I quite liked the almost dream-like, retro, cartoonish look of the visuals. And the modified plane was pretty cool. *wub* The second was 'The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.' Ashamedly I've never actually managed to read the graphic novel, so I can't comment on how close the film was to the source material. But again, it was an enjoyable film, with some classic characters (which they should be, seeing as how they're all 'literary greats') and a fantastic concept (albeit that was from Alan Moore). And they're the only Christmas films I want to watch. Boy, it's going to be a fun holiday. :-D Quote
5150 Lego Posted December 24, 2007 Posted December 24, 2007 Saw I Am legend yesterday. Good movie. Ended alot differnt than i thought, but was still good. If you go to see it on IMAX, then you'll see 6 minutes of the new batman movie "The Dark Knight". Really good clip. Whats cool is there no warning of the clip. I thought that i was watching the begining of I Am Legend, intill the Joker took off his mask. Quote
MicVash Posted December 24, 2007 Posted December 24, 2007 National Treasure 2! Pretty sweet movie! Nice momentum and action and definitely made me laugh too! Quote
Wout Posted December 24, 2007 Posted December 24, 2007 De Scheepsjongens van Bontekoe (the Shipmates of Bontekoe) Based on Childrens book from +/-1920 which was based on Real Logbook of Dutch VOC Captain Willem Bontekoe. Not all boys were acting good, but for a dutch movie it was good enough. We have almost never a historical film. Quote
Piranha Posted December 25, 2007 Posted December 25, 2007 National Treasure 2: Book of Secrets!! I must say that it has to be the best adventure movie since Indy!! It was a great movie with action scenes, humor and puzzles! The only thing I wanted to see was what was on page 47 in the book of secret? Well I guess we have a 3rd movie coming :-D The most surprising thing was in the beginning they showed an old cartoon like in the old days! National Treasure 3 ON! P Quote
Zarkan Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 National Treasure: Book of Secrets. Saw it with my parents, grandparents, and my 11 year old brother. :-) Man, that was awesome. Okay, so it wasn't quite as good as the first, but it still was a lot better than many crud sequels of movies. There was a ton of action and suspense, maybe even more than in the first, and the same fun puzzles and clues that made the first so enjoyable. I'd probably give it an 8/10, and the first 9.5/10. ;-) Oh, and that Goofy cartoon they showed before the actual movie was classic! The only problem was that it added onto a HALF-HOUR of movie previews and other stuff, which was really annoying. They said the movie would be done at 5:30, but we didn't get out until 6 O'clock. |-/ Quote
Mofo Jones Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 Watched Blade Runner: The Final Cut on dvd last night. A few changes, but mostly a much-needed update of color and sound. Worth checking out if you are a Blade Runner fan. Quote
ExoBuilder Posted December 28, 2007 Posted December 28, 2007 I recently saw The Cave...ooh, creepy movie *skull* I would recommend it! Quote
Norrington Posted December 29, 2007 Posted December 29, 2007 (edited) Attended a private screening of Naional Treasure: Book of Secrets with half of my class. 5 words: STEAMING PILE OF HORSE CRAP! >:-( The plot involves the Aztecs (or mayans) building an under ground city of gold in South Dakota. Calvin Coolidge discovered it, and commisioned Mount Rushmore to be built over it. *wacko* WTF!?! Do they even try to make cohesive scripts for these movies? |-/ Then attended Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of FLeet Street. Got to see it opening day in an allmost empty theatre. You see, I go to a Catholic School which let me off on Friday, so while everyone was at School I got to see the best movie ever. >:-) I loves it so much afterwards I immediatly went to purchase the soundtrack. Todd: "This is p*ss; p*ss with ink! Toby: "Let Pirelli's activate your roots, sir!" Todd: "Keep it off your boots sir, eats right through!" :-P Edited December 29, 2007 by Norrington Quote
Brickmaster Posted December 29, 2007 Posted December 29, 2007 I watched "The Life Aquatic". Although some people dont really.. 'get' .. the whole movie, I really quite enjoyed it, and there really isnt anything to understand in the movie, there is no plot, just go with the flow, and its overall enjoyable, ended making me want to watch it again. Quote
Vader Posted December 29, 2007 Posted December 29, 2007 Watched National Treasure 1 yesterday afternoon, i thought it was about time as the second one is out soon. The last night i watched I am Legend last night, it was good, not ast good as i hoped but still fun. Quote
ExoBuilder Posted December 29, 2007 Posted December 29, 2007 The last night i watched I am Legend last night, it was good, not ast good as i hoped but still fun. Hmm, I was really looking forward to it. I watched most of Saints and Soldiers last night, it's pretty confusing *wacko* Quote

I just love this movie. Did see it a few days ago, too. I did watch "Hogfather" which is a movie from a book from Terry Pratchett and "the Crow" with Brandon Lee! -Aredhel Quote
Zarkan Posted December 30, 2007 Posted December 30, 2007 (edited) Yesterday I watched my new Batman Begins DVD. Man, that might have been even better than the first time I saw it. Great action, deep characters, good plot, and some top-noch voice acting! I even didn't mind potato-sack-head... Er, Scarecrow as much, since he seemed a lot more creepy this time than the first. Now I'm really looking foward to The Dark Night, since I see now that the makers really are trying to take a more realistic and believable series out of a sort of campy superhero world. I mean, Joker is great, but he is so silly really - since when did falling in acid make your face white and insane instead of burning you to nothing? :-P Oh, and the batman begins music theme is just *sweet* Edited December 30, 2007 by Grevious Quote
