Piranha Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 Transformers I finally saw it, I had wanted to see it for the longest time Great Movie, the special effects and transforming blew me away 8- Quote
Aredhel Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 I am watching the episodes of Desperate Housewives right now. Got the first season for bday AND the first one of Lost, so I will have to do something for the next evenings! -Aredhel Quote
Brickmaster Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 Saw Pans Labyrinth today, before I built my scarab. Wasn't my normal kind of movie I'd watch, but it was alright. Quote
Batbrick Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 Watched Raiders of the Lost Ark yesterday with my cousin, who, get this, had not seen it before! X-O Its a classic, and we both enjoyed it, though I have a feeling he didn't enjoy it as much as he should have! >:-( X-D Batbrick is Back! >:-) Quote
MagPiesRUs Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 I just finished watching all three Indiana Jones movies. Too bad the dvds we rented were of bad quality, and sometimes skipped scenes. It stuffed up just before the Arab swordsman scene and then the zeppelin scene |-/ It came back just in time for the 'no ticket' scene though :-D Temple of Doom was better than I remembered, but still not as good as the other two. The Nazis make better enemies. Now I'll have the theme music stuck in my head for the rest of the night :-| :-D Quote
yoda601 Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 I watched Aliens Vs Predator Requiem in the cinema yesterday with a few of my friends. It's not a great movie, but it is great fun, and just an action packed hour and a half. Quote
CopMike Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 Watched Arn - Tempelriddaren (Swedish movie, based on books by Jan Guillou). It was quite decent, a bit too long though, felt like it was building up to a climax that never came. Worth watching, but I hope the next one is either shorter or has more action ;-)I saw it last week and have to agree totally with you! Good but toooo slow, and the female maincharacter Cecilia is played way to "blocky", like reading from the script all the time *n*!And yesterday me & Ras watched National Treasure - book of secrets. It was good up until the end with the golden city, come on :-| :-|!!! Who the megablocks could/would build that stuff inside the mountain??? Movies On copmike Quote
Vader Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 Watched a film called Shooter last night, not a bad film if you can excuss how easily someone who's taken a shot at the president can escape the law. Quote
Brickmaster Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 Watched a film called Shooter last night, not a bad film if you can excuss how easily someone who's taken a shot at the president can escape the law. I saw that with a friend some months ago, I must say I quite enjoyed it, nice, interesting plot and a curious look on how the government agencies do things. :-$ Was a fun watch. Quote
Brainbox Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 Went to watch I Am Legend with my dad the other day. I have to say, it was a very good film, and I really enjoyed it. I think I might have to read the book now... Quote
Batbrick Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 (edited) Went to watch I Am Legend with my dad the other day. I have to say, it was a very good film, and I really enjoyed it. I think I might have to read the book now... Without wanting to sound like a total know-it-all, I think the book is far better. Its a lot more bleak, and the "legend" part of it is surprising and very clever. And me? I watched Serenity. To Firefly fans you'll know what I'm talking about. Great movie, wraps up a lot of loose threads left in the series and still leaves enough open to the imagination. The Reavers are awesome too, and the Operative is one of my favourite villains. oo7 Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 Orson Welles' Citizen Kane. Phantasmagorical. :'-) Quote
zero1312 Posted January 17, 2008 Posted January 17, 2008 I am Legend :-( A good movie, but a bit too sad. *sad* Quote
john cleese Posted January 17, 2008 Posted January 17, 2008 Eastern Promises. This should've been the best movie this year, maybe apart from No Country for Old Men. I haven't seen that one though. Quote
ExoBuilder Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 Cloverfield X-O X-O X-O It was amazing! *y* *y* I definitely suggest watching it. *sad* *y* *sweet* *y* Quote
Aredhel Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 Went to watch I Am Legend with my dad the other day. I have to say, it was a very good film, and I really enjoyed it. I think I might have to read the book now... Well, I did see that movie too, it was ok so far but IMO not that best movie. If you wanna read the book, do not wonder that the book and the movie are completely different.. -Aredhel Quote
Pate-keetongu Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 it was Batman forever. first Batman movie that I see! Quote
captaintau Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 I caught Alien Vs. Predator: Requiem last night. You can read my review on The Review Site. It was good. Definately worth seeing, though we see tragically little of the new Predator-Alien hybrid. The end fight was sadly lacking, too. Quote
AgentRick Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 I watched Superbad for the first time last night. I closed my eyes during the "lunchbox" scene, I f you catch my drift :'-( :-X . Quote
Brickmaster Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 I watched Superbad for the first time last night. I closed my eyes during the "lunchbox" scene, I f you catch my drift :'-( :-X . I don't remember what that part was, actually. And I just watched the last half of The Mask abit ago with a friend, we were bored and channel surfing, so hey, why not. Quote
AgentRick Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 I don't remember what that part was, actually. Trust me, you don't want to remember. It might have just been on the DVD as I watched the Unrated one. It was near the beginning. Now to drain my brain of it. once more Quote
Batbrick Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 it was Batman forever. first Batman movie that I see! You picked a bad first Batman movie :-/ I watched "I Now pronounce You Chuck And Larry" last night, eeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.......... :-X Not only did the movie horrendously stereotype everything and everyone, it was just plain unfunny and awful allround. Batbrick is Back! >:-) Quote
5150 Lego Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 Saw "Cloverfield" a few days ago. It was..... ok. Doesn't live up to all the hype. I apreaciate the concept of using the perspective of an amuter camerma man to capture everything in a hope to make it more "real" but the camera was constantly moving all around, and you could never focus on anything. My girlfriend got really dizzy, and some people even walked out. Over all it was ok. Would have been much better if they just used regular camera's instead of the perspective thing. Defenatly won't be seeing thi again. Quote
Piranha Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 Star Wars Episode 5: Empire Strikes Back Live free or Die Hard Star Wars Episode 6: Return of the Jedi All I enjoyed very much! *y* P Quote

I was thinking of seeing this; but if the whole movie is just nonstop jerking around I would probably get sick, I have horrible senses that way with just watching something :-/ I don't get motion sickness and such, as I love rollercoasters and stuff, but with a movie where i'm not actually moving, it would probably be more of a pain to watch quite frankly. I heard it was great, but that one small detail kinda drives me off it :-X thanks for the heads up Quote
