Brickmaster Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 It was a good movie, but I couldn't help but feel dissapointed in some areas, like what you mentioned, and that all the zombie things looked basically the same. Like. Exact same face. :-| Also someone was eating popcorn in the loudest possible fasion behind me, and being a movie with alot of quiet tension building moments, hearing a cow chomp on crackley food ruins the moment |-/ Was good, but I think I liked Juno and Rambo better *wub* Quote

Like. Exact same face. hmpf.gif It's not just the face, it's the complete model, down to the same rag cloth torn at the exact same place on all of them... It's like the cgi team only got the fund to make one single guy... And the Alpha male is the same as well, only on a 1.5 scale... made me laugh my head off when I saw it... :-D Just saw alien vs predator requiem... Well, I suppose we could say it's on par with the first one... but considering it was a complete waste of money and time... I still don't get how they manage to convince the studios to give them money for that *wacko* *wacko* Quote

It could have just been a prosthetics job easy done *wacko* And the Alpha Male as you say was hilarious, what with his extremely fake stretchy mouth. Anyway, I just watched Breach, about the biggest breach of security in American history by an agent who sold secrets to the KGB, and the agency hires the new guy to try and find out if this agent is a traitor. It was pretty darn good, not spectacular, but pretty darn good, and the ending was nice too. Batbrick Something! *wacko* Edited January 31, 2008 by Batbrick Quote
CF Mitch Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 (edited) Yesterday I was Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones *sweet* For the first time I thought it was a lame movie though :-/ Crappy romance between Anakin and Padme :-| I still love the battle of Geonosis though *wub* I also thought I saw a very young Togruta. It was in the scene where Obi-Wan asks Yoda for help, to find Kamino on the map. The Togruta was one of the younglings Yoda was teaching :-) Edited February 1, 2008 by CF WeaZZel Quote
The Kid Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 Cloverfield. One of the best movies I have ever seen. I'm struggling to think of what could top it. It's just... astoundingly good. TK Quote

Batbrick Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 Just watched Juno, it was far better than i thought and as i had free tickets im glad i went X-D I've heard REALLY good things about that. Anyway, I watched The Truman Show, one of my personal favourites, a very smart, funny and meaningful movie starring Jim Carrey as a man who doesn't realise his whole life is a tv show. And I also watched the entire sixth season of Scrubs, I love that show *wub* Batbrick Away! >:-) Quote

SirNadroj Posted February 6, 2008 Posted February 6, 2008 Cloverfield, a couple of weeks ago, actually. But it was the latest! Loved the monster, but I'm surprised I haven't made any vigs on it! ;-) Quote
Lt. Col. Thok Posted February 6, 2008 Posted February 6, 2008 Sweeny Todd - again, mind you. Good movie, though! Quote
maiq the liar Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 Stanley Kubrick's 2001: a space oddysey. It definitely lives up to it's fame and it's that rare movie that leaves you totally clueless during the end, but what makes that rare is that it's in a good way. Quote
MagPiesRUs Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 Watched Sin City last night. Great movie, true to the comic and the cinematography is simply amazing *wub* I'd strongly recommend. Quote
Mr Hobbles Posted February 10, 2008 Posted February 10, 2008 (edited) I saw Cloverfield on Monday with a friend and loved it. I thought it was awesome. I went back today with another friend who hadn't seen it yet, she threw up from vertigo. We had to leave half-way through. :-( She didn't make it to the bathroom either, it was all over the aisle. We were so embarassed. 8-| She loved what she saw of it though, so we're going back tomorrow to give it a second shot (Unlimited cinema passes rule!), with the advice of "If you start feeling dizzy, look away from the screen for the while". Corvus Posted February 10, 2008 Posted February 10, 2008 I saw the 2004 version of "Flight of the Phoenix". An awesome movie. Some great Johny Cash, and the plane they used for it was beautiful. *wub* Will Quote
Hewman Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 Sweeney Todd, visually very good, but what do you expect from tim Burton but performances by Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter weren't up to their usual high standards. Quote
Legocastlegirl Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 National Treasure: Book Of Secrets IMO a great movie! Sandra Quote
Mr Hobbles Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 Went back to see Cloverfield, but just as we went in my flatmate decided against it. So we went to see No Country for Old Men instead. Very good movie, as usual from the Cohen brothers. Very (ironically) funny, with great characters and story, and brilliantly executed. Acting was generally excellent, with the possible exception of Tommy Lee Jones who seemed to me like he couldn't be bothered. He's also looking very aged now, but that fit in with his role. Quote

yellost Posted February 13, 2008 Posted February 13, 2008 So basically a typical JJ Abrahams CRAP !! Some piece of overrated crap |-/ *yoda* Hey, I liked Blair Witch Project :-P I saw it not long ago. I found it rather well done. It was just missing an end (but I think it was a trilogy, although I'm not sure) I haven't seen Cloverfield so I can't say about that one, though. Quote
Axle Posted February 15, 2008 Posted February 15, 2008 The Number 21, I think it was I think its clled the number 23. X-D Indiana Jones and the Temple of doom. Wow. I'll make a few scenes out of this in the future. Quote
