JimBee Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 License to Kill: One of the the best 007 films, IMO. Surprisingly, Timothy Dalton was good. I like the uniqueness of this one, and how Bond resigns from MI6. It is really realistic, and has a certain darkness to it. That opening scene was classic. Quote
Batbrick Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 Yeah, I should have watched Dr. No first. I guess it made sense, but I just didn't get what they what after was all about (the decoder). Octopussy still remains my favorite Bond movie. Hmmm, Octopussy is all right I guess, but really fails as a bond movie with a fifty something Roger Moore and over the top cheesy moments. Seriously, comedy Bond is not. Dr.No doesn't contain any decoder, it simply explains itself, a machine for decoding top secret Russian spy messages. That said, From Russia with Love is easily one of the best, if not the best of the Bond films. License to Kill: One of the the best 007 films, IMO. Surprisingly, Timothy Dalton was good. Yes, License to Kill is great, I love Sanchez's death. Actually, I like all the villain deaths. Batbrick Away! Quote

Batbrick Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 Well, there were some cheesy moments in it, but you gotta love that scene where he drives the car on the train tracks! Love it like a pain in the neck. Finally, something on Bond that we can fully agree on! No, finally something on Bond you can say you got right Also, I watched Gremlins, brilliant and hilarious movie. Batbrick Away! Quote
yellost Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 I saw Hellboy II last friday. I love Guillermo Del Toro's work. That man has a fantastic imagination when it comes to creature designs... Laberinto del Fauno is another one from him which is in my top 5 of all time favourite films. Quote
JimBee Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 Love it like a pain in the neck. So you don't like it? No, finally something on Bond you can say you got right Also, I watched Gremlins, brilliant and hilarious movie. I've seen a little bit of it, pretty funny. I need to stop quoting you, one Brainbox is enough. Quote
SWMAN Posted September 19, 2008 Posted September 19, 2008 (edited) The last movie I saw at home was The Brothers Grimm and the last movie in theaters was THE DARK KNIGHT! Definitely one of the best movies I have seen in a long time. I have only seen a few of the Pierce Bronson James Bond movies, but Casino Royale was amazing. Edited September 19, 2008 by SWMAN Quote
darkrebellion Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 (edited) The last movie I saw was the DVD Iron Man (I saw it in teathers but I want to see it again ). Really a great movie one of the best superhero movies (It can Edited September 22, 2008 by darkrebellion Quote
JimBee Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 Never Say Never Again: Pretty good, probably my favorite of the Sean Connery ones do far. I really liked the bad guy, he was one of the best. The girl was pretty hot in this one. For Your Eyes Only: It was okay. I can see why people didn't like Roger Moore at first, since this was his first, and it wasn't so good. I'm also planning on watching The Living Daylights sometime this week. Quote
Shoc Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 This is almost getting like "What was the last James Bond movie you watched?" Well, I could say the last movie I watched was the amazing Forrest Gump, but I haven't actually finished watching it because I've been watching it in bits, I recorded it from the other night. When I've finished watching it I'll talk about it. The film I actually last watched was Napoleon Dynamite, even though I missed the first half hour. Most of it's very slooow going, then the ending is too quick. Still quite funny, despite its pointlessness, and Napoleon is an amusing character, especially in the way he talks. "Maybe I will, GOSH!" :skull: Quote
Justin2224 Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 I had a friend who looks alittle like him. Ecpesially the hair. And he dressed up as him for halloween one year. The last Bond movie I watched was Caino Royal or From Russia with Love. Dont remeber which though. But the last movie I watched was the Clone Wars for a third time. Great movie really. Quote
Shoc Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 I had a friend who looks alittle like him. Ecpesially the hair. And he dressed up as him for halloween one year. I never thought of Napoleon Dynamite as that scary really. :skull: Quote
Lt. Col. Thok Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 I never thought of Napoleon Dynamite as that scary really. :skull: You have no idea. Anyways, was watching License to Kill, and my friend called and asked if I wanted to see Righteous Kill. I went, and it was pretty good. As M. Night Shamalayn would say about the ending..."What a twist!" Quote
Lt. Col. Thok Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 Sorry about the double post. Batman Begins. Overall, an excellent film, but I personally prefer TDK. Still, it's only my opinion. Scarecrow was awesome, though! Quote
hollisbrick Posted October 4, 2008 Posted October 4, 2008 I watched snakes on a plane and I got to say it is...well a bit strange and kinda stupid There were some good bits (like the make out scene jokes..) but realy the whole plot is kinda dumb Like, who sends snakes on a plane to kill some one? Meh it was alright still though, mainly because it was gory Quote
JimBee Posted October 4, 2008 Posted October 4, 2008 The Hunted. Worst. Action. Movie. Ever. (IMO, of course ). Did they really think this was good? C'mon, a crazy guy with a rock isn't much of a story . Quote

Lego12 Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 Hmmmm...the last movie I watched was.....Star Wars Episode 1......which was today, actually.... Lego12 (Lee) Quote
Zorro Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 Home alone. Back somewhere in the ninetees I think... No, I watched Evan Almighty yesterday, on the German "Premiere 1" channel. Bruce Almighty was better... How the heck could they train so many animals for that movie, they must have rented an entire zoo for that. Quote
Batbrick Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 Watched Hannibal Rising and I must say, it was pretty darn poor compared to the other films. Gone was the mystery and creepiness of Lecter, here he is just a revenge obsessed jerk. Batbrick Away! Quote
Lt. Col. Thok Posted October 7, 2008 Posted October 7, 2008 Saw Iron Man on DVD! I must say, once you see it three or four times in the theatre, the DVD version seems kinda "meh". Still, it's a great movie! Especially with the appearance of Nick Fury at the end. Quote
Oky Posted October 7, 2008 Posted October 7, 2008 Ghosts of Mars: Except for one zombie fight, it's pretty boring and cheesy. Quote
JoeMI6 Posted October 7, 2008 Posted October 7, 2008 Tropic Thunder. Very funny movie, perhaps a tiny bit slow to start after the fake trailers, but after Steve Coogan's death, it was just non stop hilarity. Quote
JimBee Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 X-Men 1 and 2... I liked them when I was younger, but now the action seems cheesy and lame... the story wasn't great either... at least they didn't make Wolverine have a dorky mask and tights. Quote
Justin2224 Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 I watched Batman Begins for the first time, and now I wanna go buy some Batman LEGO. And wait for the Dark Knight to come out on December 9. The movie was pretty good, could have used a little more action and villans. Is there a gap between it and the Darl Knight, or is the TDK a sequel to BB. Quote
