Brickmaster Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 I saw a few year's old movie: Keeping Mum. It was charming, disturbing, yet in the end had a surprisingly meaningful underlaying tones. I highly recommend it to anyone with a good, or cynical, sense of humor. Quote
Wouwie Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 Lord of the Rings Trilogy. It's still an nice movie! Quote
simonjedi Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 Wall-E - 10/10. fantastic animation, excellent soundtrack, funny, sad, romantic, etc. in all the right ways. The first 45 minutes of the film are pretty much perfect, even with absolutely no dialog. one of my top 5 Movies of all time Quote
Oky Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 (edited) The last few movies I've seen are Hancock, Futurama: Bender's Game, and Silence of the Lambs. Hancock was funny and entertaining! A different kind of superhero movie. Quite original. I can recommend it. Bender's Game wasn't so good. It was better than the last Futurama movie, but it was still kinda lame. Instead of creating something truly new, it relied on the usage of old characters, like the other movies. Also, the whole storyline felt kinda random as the whole fantasy part did nothing to the main story. It had more pop culture references than the others, though, which made it at least a little funny. Then again, how many D&D and LOTR references can one take in 88 minutes? Overall, it's OK, but could have been much funnier, more inventive, and just a bit better. One nice thing about it though, is that it featured an alien ship made out of Lego! Silence of the Lambs was good. It's a good movie, even today. This is coming from a guy who has seen it recently for the first time after watching all of the SAW movies. Yesterday I saw Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire .I need to said that this is my favorite HP film cause in my opinion is the most entertained (Sorry, I haven´t read the books so my like is to the movie and no to the books themselves ). The three stages of the championship where cool with the fist one been my favorite (The duel with the dragon). I recommened it to anyone that wants to spend a good time seeing a sweet movie. I need to said that it was a pretty cool movie but unfortunately it was followed by a poor sequel . I agree. I have read all of the books, and this one has always been my favorite. I think they did a great job on the film! And it's sequel, "HP and the Order of the Phoenix", has always been my least favorite HP book. The book was even worse than the movie because you read all of Harry's confused and angry thoughts. Can't wait for the next one! The book was pretty good, and the movie looks just as good! I'm so annoyed that they postponed it 'til July! Lord of the Rings Trilogy. It's still an nice movie! Want my opinion on it? This is what I think. Wall-E - 10/10. fantastic animation, excellent soundtrack, funny, sad, romantic, etc. in all the right ways. SNIP one of my top 5 Movies of all time Hell yeah! WALL E is awesome! PIXAR is awesome! But it's not my favorite. I like The Incredibles and Finding Nemo better. I'm curious about their next film "UP"! And I can't wait for Toy Story 3! Wouwie Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 Want my opinion on it? This is what I think. Rofl xD It's true Quote
Gamer Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 The last movie I wached in the cinema was Quantome of solace. It would be cool if lego desded to make it.Sadly they wont. Quote
JimBee Posted December 7, 2008 Posted December 7, 2008 I saw I am Legend today. It wasn't that good, but it had some intense action scenes and in a way, reminded me of Wall-E (last being on earth kind of thing). The ending was terrible. The movie was very sad, though, which the producers did a wonderful job on making that possible. Quote
Brickmaster Posted December 9, 2008 Posted December 9, 2008 I saw Bolt. It's good reviews are quite deserved, cute movie, well made. Quote
Oky Posted December 9, 2008 Posted December 9, 2008 I saw Bolt as well, and I liked it too. The animation of the dog is amazing and very cute! Rhino, the hamster, provides some good laughs! It's a little weird how fast the tone of the film goes from funny and adventurous to serious and emotional, and the whole storyline is quite predictable, as it is Disney tradition. It's a cute and fun movie, and I can recommend it to anyone! Quote
Tim Bit Posted December 9, 2008 Posted December 9, 2008 Wall-e was one. It was very cute and it made me cry at the end (Very shocking that I cried during a children's movie) The other was Quantum of solace. it was okay but a bit confusing. Quote
matanui911 Posted December 19, 2008 Posted December 19, 2008 The last movie I watched was Bionicle 3:Web of Shadows!! Quote
simonjedi Posted December 28, 2008 Posted December 28, 2008 Star Wars: The clone wars. 8.5/10 I enjoyed watching the film again on my tv more than i did at the cinema. Maybe its because it was intended for the small screen or because we're about 1/2 way through season 1 i'm used to the style and music. Quote
Tim Bit Posted December 29, 2008 Posted December 29, 2008 Oceans 13! It was the best of the series by far. It was probably one of my favorite movies ever. Quote
5150 Lego Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 At the movies i saw "Gran Torino". Exellent movie. One of the best of 08'. Clint eastwood did a great job as ussual. Great story with the apropriate amount of humor that wasn't even expected in a movie like this. On DVD, "Death Race" I was taken by complete surprize. Iwanted to see this in the movie theaters, but no one would go with me cause the felt it would be too campy. Boy were they wrong! If you don't know Death Race is based on the movie Death Race 2000". A movie from the 60's i believe. I haven't seen it myself, but from what people tell me it was a very campy movie with lack luster acting, horrible affects, and lame story line. Only highlight was the action and cars. If you like action, cars and shoot'em type movies, then i highly recomend this movie! Quote
JimBee Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 A got a ton of DVDs for Christmas, but the only one that I haven't seen at the time was the new Hulk movie. It was better than I thought, but still pretty mediocre. The acting wasn't that good, and the story was alright. The action was really good, though. And the ending was really neat- a lot like the secret ending from Iron Man, if you catch my drift. Quote
SWMAN Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 Last movie in theaters was Valkyrie and the last movie at home was V for Vendetta. Quote
Darth_Legois Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 Last movie I saw at the cinemas: Madagascar 2 - It was pretty funny, I think even funnier then the first one. Last movie I saw at home was: Casino Royal - Like my 20th time to see it! Its probable my favourite Bond film. Quote
General Armendariz Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 I watched the curios case of benjamin button A good sad and funny movie Quote
Majek Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 The last movie I watched was You Only Live Twice. Great Bond film and a classic film theme. Quote
donneyboy Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 Well, the last movie I watched was The Simpsons Movie, i love that movie, even though I have seen it hundreds of times. Quote
KimT Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 Sadly I watched AVP2 -REQUIEM yesterday. I recall the first one being ok, but this one was really crappy. The animated scenes were dark and fast as if they didn't have enough money to make great scenes and SFX. The story was crap as well - I am in no mood to watch something evolve like a mainstream-hollywood-teenage-horror-movie. It's offensive to an alien/predator fan. I don't care for skin, love and other plotfillers. I expect massive action and violence when I rent a movie with aliens and predators on the cover. I knew I'd be better off watching Aliens - Director's Cut instead. - It never fails. Quote
DarthSion Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 The last movie i watched was Saw V in HD, not a bad movie, its a pity they always kill the pretty girls. I am dumbfound as who will take the lead in Saw VI next year. I have liked all the saw movies so far, but it seems as if they are going to end up turning it into another Freddy/Jason series and just do too many. Quote
Natman8000 Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 I just saw Independence Day on TV. Decent, to say the least. Quote
