Jebediahs Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 The Wickerman remake 5/10The movie is crap. The only reason that it gets points is that Nick Cage running around in a bear suit and punching women is bloody hilarious. Hahah /agree! Last thing I watched was the sequel to the D&D movie, "Dungeons & Dragons: Wrath of the Dragon God". Every time I watch it I'm thankful that that Wayans brother wasn't in it to ruin it. :-D Quote
iamded Posted September 13, 2009 Posted September 13, 2009 (edited) Hah, with the release of a new Aliens versus Predator game early next year, it got me remembering just how cool the Xenomorphs and Predators are. So I rented and watched Alien, Aliens, Alien³ and Alien Resurrection. Also Predator. Next week I have Predator 2, Aliens versus Predator and AvP Requiem lined up. I was all amped for Predators, but then I found out it hasn't actually been made yet. Awesome. ~Peace Edited September 13, 2009 by iamded Quote
YG-49 Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 Last night I watched Rove's 10th anniversary show. It had all of Rove's previous cast come back and had dead segments on. (Word that sound better when said by Dave Callan) (What The...?) (Sex Office) Quote
Admiral Croissant Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 I am legend, before that one: Braveheart. Both good movies but certainly not the best ones I've ever seen. Btw, Also a part of Master and Commander: the far side of the world yesterday, love that one! Quote
JeffD984 Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 I watched the Departed and the Dark Knight yesterday. That's like five hours for just two movies! Quote

Forresto Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 I felt the same way. They really had a chance to run a with an orignal plot, but blew it. How was it not original you have to be a little more specific. Quote

Sir Wellington Posted October 4, 2009 Posted October 4, 2009 Capitalism: A Love Story I idolize Michael Moore after watching that. Quote
Big Cam Posted October 7, 2009 Posted October 7, 2009 Last movie I watched was Death Race, and it was surprisingly OK. I thought it was going to be stupid but it was alright. I watched for free on HBO. Quote
5150 Lego Posted October 7, 2009 Posted October 7, 2009 How was it not original you have to be a little more specific. Never said it wasn't original. IN fact i said the opposite. What i said was that i felt the story line was very lacking. For the movie having such a serious tone it still felt very cheesy. There were quite a few things that just didn't make any sense. I also didn't care for the whole human turing into an alien thing. Also, if he's squirted in the face with the alien juice, then why is it his hand is the only thing that is turning alien? Last movie I watched was Death Race, and it was surprisingly OK. I thought it was going to be stupid but it was alright. I watched for free on HBO. That's exactly how i felt after watching. I thought it was one of the best movies of 08'. Quote
Tyrant Posted October 7, 2009 Posted October 7, 2009 Never said it wasn't original. I believe it happened that way because the other alien scratched (or bit, don't remember) his hand. So, the change started there. My best guess is that was either due to being so directly exposed to one of them in that particular spot, or that it started there because he was injured there. For the latter, I'm assuming the juice acted as some kind of repairing fluid so it started "fixing" him in the spot that was injured and expanded from there. I am sure that theory isn't foolproof. As for the last movie I saw, it was Zombieland. I saw it over the weekend. I thought it was a good movie. Fair warning, it's more of a road movie than a zombie movie. If you plan on watching it, don't read the reviews or talk to people about it because there are one or two suprises that work better as suprises. There is gore (duh) and (undead)nudity, for those who care. Quote

Batbrick Posted October 14, 2009 Posted October 14, 2009 I watched In the Mouth of Madness by John Carpenter, starring the not-in-enough-movies Sam Neill. I actually really enjoyed it, but understand that if someone is not familiar to HP Lovecraft's work then the "badguys" of the film may be confusing. As it was, it had a few bad moments such as the main girl's acting, and some scares that weren't pulled off. Still, other parts were downright creepy and shocking, and scene of the freakish abominations down the corridor amazingly worked which I had doubted it could, for the tiny time they appeared the creatures were amazingly crafted and done. Batbrick recommends atleast giving this movie a try, it's one of the few times I disagree with the critics (it had a mixed reaction) as I felt it had some great scary and surreal moments and was quite challenging thematically to the viewer. Batbrick Away! Quote
Milan Posted October 14, 2009 Posted October 14, 2009 My girlfriend wanted to watch A Cinderella Story (2004) with me,and ok, we watched it together, and it was ok. But I wouldn't watch it again (although she will ask it sooner or later) Quote
