RejectedShrimp Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 just finished watching tron legacy and found it to be quite good. Quote
slopemodified Posted March 9, 2011 Posted March 9, 2011 Ninja Scroll, for the umpteenth time. A classic, ranked up there next to Ghost in the Shell. Quote
RejectedShrimp Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 Royale with cheese Pulp Fiction is an awesome movie and possibly my favourite Quote
Gregorovich Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 A film named "Another Year". I'd seen some of the cast members do great performances in other films, and so I expected this to be no exception. However, I was very wrong. It was the most draining film that I've ever had the displeasure of viewing. It just seemed to drag on and on... If you like the film, please don't be offended. We just have different tastes, I suppose. Quote
Artanis I Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 Movie marathon... 100 Million BC (terrible movie*, but very entertaining to watch in a group ); Scott Pilgrim Vs The World (quite funny & clever at times); Taken (very interesting and brutal); Aliens (seen it a zillion times ). *I understand some people enjoy movies by The Asylum... and pay money to watch them. I don't know if I could do that! Quote
Zeya Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 I saw "Phone Booth", which had a very interesting premise - a guy answers a call in a phone booth and it is a sniper threatening all kinds of nasty things if he leaves the booth or doesn't do what he demands. Pretty suspenseful stuff. Quote
Big Cam Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 My wife and I just watched the movie "Code" with Morgan Freeman, a good heist movie, reminded me of Oceans Eleven. Quote
Sisco Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 Just saw Battle Los Angeles. Pretty good flick if you're in the mood for death and destruction! I just wish that they had fleshed out the aliens a little more. We know what they came for, but where did they come from? How did they get here? Who's controlling them? How did they get to be that technologically advanced? What's so wrong with their world that they have to eradicate us on our world? I just hope that there's a sequel. Quote

ManitobaMoe Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 just watched angels and demons. i liked it Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 World Invasion: Battle Los Angeles - pretty good movie and a very enjoyable watch, but not the best I've seen. It's like watching War of the Worlds all over again. -zenn Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 Not actually a movie... But a series. Season 1 of The Walking Dead. Too bad it were only 6 episodes, I want to see more. Quote
Sisco Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 World Invasion: Battle Los Angeles - pretty good movie and a very enjoyable watch, but not the best I've seen. It's like watching War of the Worlds all over again. Really? I didn't really get that kind of vibe from it. To me, War of the Worlds was kind of a thriller with a few battle scenes mixed in. Battle Los Angeles seemed to be more of a war movie to me, except with aliens. Total War, is suppose. At least we (the humans) had a chance in Battle Los Angeles, instead of the aliens being completely invulnerable from bullets, bombs, grenades, etc. I liked the ending in BLA, too. War of the Worlds just seemed a little stupid to me. I mean, if the aliens had really spent centuries upon centuries planning their attack on us, then why didn't they plan on a little bacteria? Sorry, [/bitching about a perfectly good movie off]. Quote
JimBee Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 I agree with cralegoboy on the part about B:LA being a war movie. The way the previews were presented, I was expecting an intriguing alien film, but I was disappointed with a war movie. Yuck. It was so cliche, I almost gagged at the macho marine parts. The character-building was just pathetic, and had hardly anything to do with the movie. And then there's that Michelle Rodriguez from Lost. She should seriously just give up acting. Not that she was any worse than the other actors in B:LA. Quote
Sisco Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 Wasn't Michelle Rodrigez also in Avatar and one of the Fast and the Furious movies, too? I didn't really mind her, to be honest. But yeah, it was pretty cliche with hardly any story. Only watch if you're in the mood for Death, Destruction, and a bunch of explosions. Quote
Captain Becker Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 I have totally forgot to post this. 3 weeks ago or so i watched: The scorpion King. Not bad movie, but also not that great, it was quite funny also. Cpatain Becker Quote

Giovanne Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 (edited) In cinema the last movie I watched was Tron: Legacy from 2010. In TV the last one was Click from 2006. And in DVD the last one was Toy Story 3 from 2010. The three don't was bad, at least for me, the best was Tron: Legacy. Edited March 23, 2011 by Giovanne Quote
iamded Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 Dead Like Me: Life After Death. Honestly, it was not so hot. I think at least a cameo from Rube, and the reworking of the character of Daisy Adaire to be more like she was in the series was needed. And something else... I also watched Dragon Hunters, Get Him to the Greek, Monsters vs Aliens, Ninja Assassin and The Green Hornet. At least I've got variety. Quote
Artanis I Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 Last night: Prince Of Persia . The other day: The Big Lebowski & Uncle Buck favourite part below... Quote
brickmack Posted April 3, 2011 Posted April 3, 2011 The Karate Kid (new version). It was OK, but my main problem was that through the whole movie there were two things I couldn't figure out: Why they moved to China (Seriously, neighborhoods in America can be pretty crappy, but I can't imagine China being much better...), and why the movie is called the KARATE Kid. There isn't a bit of karate in the entire movie (The word karate isn't even mentioned), it's all kungfu. Quote
