Zeya Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 I saw X-Men First Class. It had some good moments. One or two of the people were pretty cheesy (e.g. stripper girl with dragonfly wings). The guy who played Magneto did a good job. Quote
Sir_Basil_Ashton Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 I agree, Michael Fassbender played an outstanding Magneto. I'm not sure I would have liked the movie had he not played the role. Quote
Vindicare Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Saw 'The Grey' yesterday. It was definitely a thriller, not scary, so much. I did jump a bit a few times. Kept me on the edge of my seat. Great flick. Quote
LEGOman273 Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 (edited) I watched Animal House yesterday. :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao: Edited February 1, 2012 by Legoman273 Quote
Fred Daniel Yam Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 The Adventures of TinTin, a good movie but horribly inaccurate. They basically merged The Secret of the Unicorn and The Crab with the Golden Claws together. But still enjoyable. Quote
Peppermint_M Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 I thought it was Red Rackhams Treasure and Secret of the Unicorn? I got those two for my little brother after we went to see the film. It was the first time he had asked to see a film that the rest of the family wasn't interested in. As he is getting into reading I thought Tin Tin books would be perfect after how much he enjoyed the film. Quote
iamded Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 The Adventures of TinTin, a good movie but horribly inaccurate. They basically merged The Secret of the Unicorn and The Crab with the Golden Claws together. But still enjoyable. Well, yes. That was the point of it haha. Adapting any one Tintin comic doesn't make for enough material for a movie, so they based it on multiple comics. I thought it was Red Rackhams Treasure and Secret of the Unicorn? You're both right. The film was based on three of the original comics: The Crab with the Golden Claws (1941), The Secret of the Unicorn (1943), and Red Rackham's Treasure (1944). Anywho, the last movie I saw was the 2009 sci-fi Moon. It has a neat story, I enjoyed it. Quite different to what I normally watch, but it was good. Quote
Fred Daniel Yam Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 Saw Around the World in 80 Days with Jackie Chan. Bad beyond belief, practically nothing to do with the book. Watch the TV series with Pierce Brosnan instead, its much better. Quote
Mr_Malfoy Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 (edited) Watched Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. My opinion:  . I can't wait for The Dark Knight Rises. Edited February 4, 2012 by Mr_Malfoy Quote
Vindicare Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 (edited) Saw Contraband. It was a cool action flick with some good actors. Kate Beckinsale. Edited February 4, 2012 by Legocrazy81 Quote
K-Nut Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 Not necessarily a movie, but I watched Les Miserables in Concert this morning. 15/10 from me. Quote
Nightshroud99 Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 Haven't watched many movies lately, however I have seen some excellent TV programs. Sherlock, from BBC, is a superb, intelligent and well-written show about Sherlock Holmes in the 20th century. Highly recommended. Also, Sons of Anarchy is a fun and smart show from FX; about a fictional Biker Gang. It includes alot of the ole Ultra Violence, which I especially enjoy. Quote
K-Nut Posted February 5, 2012 Posted February 5, 2012 Just watched Tron Legacy. Great movie. I strongly recommend it. Quote
Sir_Basil_Ashton Posted February 5, 2012 Posted February 5, 2012 Continuing to watch the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Watched The Two Towers tonight with the kids. I have a very vivid image of Helm's Deep in my head. Can't wait to see better pictures of LEGO's rendition. Quote
Darth Nihilus Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 Wow, I've been watching a lot of movies, but I haven't posted them. Here's some: 1. Winnie the Pooh. A kid's movie, but funny nonetheless. I watched it with my nieces and nephews when I was watching them after school Friday. I actually found myself laughing at some point during the film. 2. Journey to the Center of the Earth. So cheesy it could have passed as a Cheeto. Seriously, it was really, really bad. I'm talking about the 2008 one, BTW, not the really old one. It wasn't even based on the book at all! 3. LEGO: The Adventures of Clutch Powers. Another movie watched with my nieces and nephews. As with Winnie the Pooh, very funny in some parts. I especially thought the Skelly and Bones segments were amusing. Quote
Lothos Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 Went to see "The Chronicle" with my nephews. Not knowing anything about it besides "People fly" was probably the best thing to happen to a guy like me. The story was a walking cliche, but the action and part of the story was very interesting. I enjoyed it alot. Also got to see previews for 21 jump street which looks pretty funny. All around. Quote
K-Nut Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 Better than Muppets Christmas Carol!?! Hell yeah! Quote
Darth Nihilus Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 Yes. Ah. I've never seen it myself, but I have the album, and it is one of my favorites. If the movie is based anything on the songs, it might just be something I'll watch soon. Quote
Vindicare Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 Saw Red Tails yesterday. It was a pretty good movie. If you like airplanes, moreover, P-51s, see it. Quote
Batbrick Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 Roman Holiday for the first time. Absolutely fantastic film, very funny, and Gregory Peck and Audrey Hepburn have great chemistry together. The last scene in particular is going on my list as one of the most effectve I've seen. Batbrick Away! Quote
