Ceroknight Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 Finally watched the Avengers! A much better movie than I expected Quote
Vindicare Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 What to Expect When You're Expecting. Kinda a chick flick, but it was pretty funny actually. A lot of stars. Quote
1980-Something-Space-Guy Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 The Avengers in 3D! WAYYYY better than expected! And the humor is a very nice touch. Looking forward to buy this movie. Quote
Sir_Basil_Ashton Posted May 24, 2012 Posted May 24, 2012 Fast 5. I enjoyed watching this movie but felt like something was missing. Quote
K-Nut Posted May 26, 2012 Posted May 26, 2012 Went to see MIB3 today. It was really good! Didn't see the ending coming in a million years. Highly recommended. Quote
1980-Something-Space-Guy Posted May 26, 2012 Posted May 26, 2012 Went to see MIB3 today. It was really good! Didn't see the ending coming in a million years. Highly recommended. Really? I feared it could be another disappointment, like much blockbuster sequels. Glad it's not. Quote
Captain Becker Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 Just saw Galdiator movie, so sad ending that i cant hlp myself and cant sop crying..... Captain Becker Quote
TrumpetKing Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 The previous 2 nights I watched both Source Code and Moneyball. I really enjoyed both, but I did find myself getting slightly confused with Moneyball. All in all, they were both incredibly good. Quote
Vindicare Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 (edited) Men In Black 3 yesterday. Pretty funny. Not as many alien action as the other two. All in all, good movie, good action. Personally, the 3D wasn't very good. Some may say differently, but I'd skip it. Edited May 31, 2012 by Legocrazy81 Quote
Praiter Yed Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 Just watched Prometheus in 2D, I'm not going to say too much about it - it is good and it looks beautiful. There's a general sense of foreboding throughout the movie and some pretty tense and uneasy moments but I had hoped for more scares. Quote
Scorpiox Posted June 3, 2012 Posted June 3, 2012 Saw The Avengers Assemble today. I thought it was really good. Agent Coulson was epic, with his Captain America trading cards. The humour was nice, it broke up some of the actions scenes, and most of the cinema split their sides laughing at certain parts (especially when Loki is trying to lecture Hulk on how he is superior, and thus gets smashed into the floor severall times). Robert Downey Jr. was awesome, and I love how he did everything with style (like when he arrived to attack Loki, and hacked into the Quinjet just to play some rock music as he flew in). I thoroughly recommend it for fans of Marvel and anyone who just loves an exiting film. Great for families. Quote
TrumpetKing Posted June 3, 2012 Posted June 3, 2012 (edited) Finally got around to seeing the Hunger Games, I love it!!!!! I do agree with a lot of the others about the shaky camera, but it was otherwise good. Edited June 4, 2012 by TrumpetKing67 Quote
King of Nynrah Posted June 3, 2012 Posted June 3, 2012 Men in Black 3. My favourite of the trilogy, the time-travel concept was really well done and the villain was great. Not gonna say much else though or something might be spoilt! I'd see it in 2D rather than 3D though, as with any film. Quote
Ceroknight Posted June 3, 2012 Posted June 3, 2012 Watched The Dictator yesterday, really funny! I went in their expecting the only funny scenes would be the ones in the trailers (like many comedy films these days) but I was really surprised how much more there is. If you're looking for a comedy film, this is it Quote
Vindicare Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 Watched The Dictator yesterday, really funny! I went in their expecting the only funny scenes would be the ones in the trailers (like many comedy films these days) but I was really surprised how much more there is. If you're looking for a comedy film, this is it For those who don't get offended easily. Saw Snow White and the Huntsmen yesterday. Good flick! Lots of cool action and fight scenes. Some weird, freaky parts though. Not scary, but it makes you think, WTF? Really good movie though. Quote
Leo604 Posted June 17, 2012 Posted June 17, 2012 The Incredible Hulk, borrowed from the public library. Edward Norton was good, but I still kinda prefer Mark Ruffalo. Quote
Larrynautik Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 I saw a 1983 fake documentary called Threads, the story of two english families living in Sheffield, UK, during a nuclear conflict between Russia and America. Quite horrible to see in fact. Fortunately it never happened, but seeing the consequences of such a war is rather afraiding. I do not recommend this to you ! Fortunately I discovered the movie Serenity yesterday and I just said "Woaw !" I really appreciate the science-fiction adventure movies ! It reminded me Star Wars, in some aspects. Isn't the Firefly commander another Yan Solo in fact ? Quote
just2good Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 (edited) Just saw Tangled, and here are my thoughts... Cliche, yet cute. Predictable, yet beautiful. Most of the characters were bland, but I really like the (evil) mother of Rapunzel. I did enjoy this film, but not as much as other Disney films. 7.25/10 Edited June 21, 2012 by just2good Quote
BrickPicker Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 Zombieland...Made me think of the Series 1 Zombie selling for $20+ on EBAY. Quote
Vindicare Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 Saw a few lately. Madagascar 3-loved it! The usual suspects were just as funny as usual(King Julien and the penguins ), neat story, 3D is great. That's My Boy-crude, rude, gross and hilarious. Best part apart it, if you're a kid of the 90's, Vanilla Ice. I loved that they referenced his lyrics in there a few times. See it. Word to your motha'. Quote
just2good Posted June 23, 2012 Posted June 23, 2012 Brave Funny and beautiful movie. The twist 30 minutes in (wont spoil anything) was surprising, and took a bit to get used to. I thought it was very different from other Pixar movies, but still on par. I will say I really enjoyed it a lot, more than other people who saw it. 9.25/10 Quote
Mr_Malfoy Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 Disney/Pixar's Brave. Great film, better than last year's Cars 2 . Can't wait for Monsters University. Quote
Larrynautik Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 I saw The Life of David Gale and it's really en excellent movie ! Kevin Spacey and Kate Winslet play their role perfectly, and the actors and events are realistic. The end of the movie is a spectacular turn of the plot (I could never have anticipated that). The movie itself do not takes position for or against the death penalty (its context) : it only shows the facts. One of the most interesting movie I saw this year. 9,5/10 Quote
HumanPackMule Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 Saw Brave yesterday with the family. Gotta say, more nudity in it than all the other Disney animated movies combined. As I was leaving the room I overheard mothers saying to their kids "the moral of the story is don't turn me into a bear". Pretty good, animation was top tier but it wasn't as funny as other Pixar films. Quote
