K-Nut Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 I don't know if Osborn was ever the Hobgoblin (My Spidey knowledge was never that great either) , but he'd be a welcome villain for a sequel. Osborn was never hobgoblin. He was always Green Goblin in the comics. Quote
Leo604 Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 Rewatched Batman Begins last night; should be interesting how Ra's al Ghul fits into TDK Rises. Hopefully Liam Neeson will have more than just a cameo role. Quote
the-bricking-builder Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 I went to madagascar 3: Europe's most wanted thursday. Its packed with awesome and good jokes, and you walk out of the cinema with a laugh. I think its the best of the 3 in the series, but the end is sadly a little closing it all. Overall a very good and funny movie! Quote
Lothos Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 So I'm guessing you don't like Kingdom of the Crystal Skull? I'm sorry? Kingdom of the what? Is this some sort of fan movie? For I remember that "The last crusade" is the last indiana jones movie. SURELY SIR YOU MUST BE MISTAKEN. Quote

SURELY SIR YOU MUST BE MISTAKEN. I don't know if you are joking, but a fourth movie called 'Kingdom of the Crystal Skull' was made a few years ago to finally conclude the series. Featuring an older Harrison Ford and others. I know the film gets a lot of hate, but I thought it very good. Quote

I just love the old legends, myths and villians, and in the 4th instalment, it's all replaced bij science finction, which takes away the classy, old adventure feeling the first 3 indiana Jones movies includes. But afterall, Ford is a great actor on his age, and can't wait for the 5th part, even if it's gonnna set in the Bermuda triangle. Quote
Fives Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 Just saw The Amazing Spider-Man. It was awesome! It was, in my opinion, WAY better than Raimi's films. Toby Macguire never seemed like a good Peter Parker, but Andrew Garfield was perfect! And who doesn't love Emma Stone ! Marvel Studios needs to consolidate all of their licenses to one company and start cranking thess movies out fast! I would live to see Andrew Garfiled as Spidey in an Avengers movie! Quote

I am going to see that this week, so I am looking forward to it... I hope you are right I watched Live and Let Die, the James bond film, last night. I have the complete box set and am going through them in order... it is amazing how they veer off from the stories of the books so completely. The books stories are much better! Quote
Tobias_Jay Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 I too saw the Amazing Spider-Man recently, a very good installment it made a lot more sense than the previous installments. I also saw Snow White and the Huntsman. A VERY twisted version to the beloved children's fairy tale. Quote
Bilbo Baggins Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 Onthe Indiana Jones topic, I actuallly liked the 5th film even though it isn't even half as good as the ones in the original trilogy. Quote
Scorpiox Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 Saw Super 8. I don't really know what to think, it was quite interesting at parts and had an overall good story. But the ending was quite weak (It was hardly explained why the creature was even there or why it didn't escape years ago) and it was full of cheesy American kids with their shabby camera work. Quote
Lothos Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 I was deffinetly joking, bad habit of mine. I sorta don't count the crystal skull. Quote
Vindicare Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 Saw Ice Age: Continental Drift yesterday. Great new cast of characters and lovable same cast. The story was pretty good and interesting. Quote
King of Nynrah Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 Saw Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance yesterday. It gets a lot of hate but I found it entertaining, it had the same feel as the first one and made a worthy sequel. Great special effects, too. If only we had a LEGO Ghost Rider set as part of the Marvel subtheme... Quote
just2good Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 (edited) Saw The Three Stooges (2012) last night. Not funny, poorly put together and had a lot of plot holes. 2/10 Edited July 19, 2012 by just2good Quote
Tobias_Jay Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 (edited) Just saw one the most anticipated movies of the year, The Dark Knight Rises! It's certainly the best of the bunch. I like how it wasn't Hollywood cliche and Batman didn't stand a chance against Bane! Edited July 20, 2012 by Wall E2624 Quote
greeny Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 Just saw one the most anticipated movies of the year, The Dark Knight Rises! It's certainly the best of the bunch. I like how it wasn't Hollywood cliche and Barman didn't stand a chance against Bane! Barman? I saw this film as well and I personaly thought it was the best one yet as well Quote
K-Nut Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 The Dark Knight Rises. A truly epic movie. It did not disappoint and the plot twists kept the movie interesting. 10/10 Quote

General Magma Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 (edited) On Wednesday I decided to watch Batman Begins, followed by The Dark Knight on Thursday and ending with The Dark Knight Rises today. It was an amazing movie, I would want to see it again for sure. To me, it had to be the best of the bunch. And it had lots of plot twists working in a positive way... if you're planning to see this movie, avoid spoilers the best you can. Edited July 20, 2012 by General Magma Quote
Tobias_Jay Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 Barman? I saw this film as well and I personaly thought it was the best one yet as well  Whoops Quote
just2good Posted July 21, 2012 Posted July 21, 2012 (edited) The Dark Knight Rises Had a fair amount of flaws, this is still a very enjoyable movie. I liked it better than Amazing Spider-Man, but probably not more than the Avengers. 9.25/10 Edited July 21, 2012 by just2good Quote
Dr Leg O Brick Posted July 21, 2012 Posted July 21, 2012 Last films I watched where: POTC 1,2,3, and 4 for the first time. Amazing, although 3 was slightly weaker than the others. Id definetly give them all a 9.6 out of ten. Star Trek First Contact. If your a TNG Trekkie and havent seen this, then I don't know what planet your been living on. Its my second favourite Star Trek film, and with the Borg, The Enterprise E, a breif apearence of the Defiant from DS9, and time travel, its a must watch. Word of warning though, if this is your first Star Trek or TNG Trek, then its better of if you watch a few episodes to get to know the Borg and the main characters first. 9.8 out of ten. Groundhog Day. Hilarious, it revolves around a crankey, rude, Weatherman who keeps on living the same day over and over again. Its a great comedy and a real good film, but not as good as the others that ive wrote about. Ive also noticed that some people love this film (like me), and others cann't stand the thing. 8.9 out of ten. Return to Me. This one was slaughted by the critics when it came out, but it a very good, sad in places, movie. Won't into much detail as its would be ruining the story, but its a great love film if you into that sort of thing, 9 out of ten. Thats it for now, but I will be posting alot here when I get the time. I tend to watch any genre but horror, although its mostly Sci-Fi, action, and comerdy films that I watch. Quote
CM4Sci Posted July 21, 2012 Posted July 21, 2012 Just came back from The Dark Knight Rises: Amazing movie! The twists and turns, Talia and Miranda, everything was just.. awesome! Bane was a total badass and the music. Everything was amazing. Also, that end part... Robin? :) 11/10 Great way to end the series. -Sci Quote
halomaster96 Posted July 21, 2012 Posted July 21, 2012 I just saw The Dark Knight Rises on Thursday at midnight, It was amazing! Probably the greatest movie I've ever seen! There was just one thing I thought was kind of weird: Why did the lady call John Blake robin at the end? I mean throughout the movie I figured he was really Tim Drake, but what? Is his name really robin? That doesn't really make much sense, does it? Overall I'd give it 9001/100. Quote
