Vindicare Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 Moonrise Kingdom. Great movie! Funny, exciting movie. The two main characters were excellent and made the movie. This may not be a well known movie, it was at a small, independent theatre. If you can find it, see it. Bruce Willis and Ed Norton were funny as well! Quote
Leo604 Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 Flags of our Fathers; great, and very emotional, movie by Clint Eastwood. Now I just have to watch Letters from Iwo Jima to see the other side of the picture... Quote
Scorpiox Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 Added Last of the Mohicans to my list of watched films. It was good. Quote
shanerobbed Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 Last movie i watched was The Amazing Spider-man. The movie was very awesome and the actor Andrew Garfield is looking superb in this movie in spider-man costum. Now i'm big fan of Andrew Garfield........... Quote
Vindicare Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 My second viewing of Amazing Spiderman. Loved it just as much as the first time. Still don't get the secret scene... anyone care to PM me if you know? Quote
Bilbo Baggins Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 My second viewing of Amazing Spiderman. Loved it just as much as the first time. Still don't get the secret scene... anyone care to PM me if you know? I have even searched it on the internet, and all I've found were speculations. The most frequent one was that it was Norman Osborn Quote
Vindicare Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 I have even searched it on the internet, and all I've found were speculations. The most frequent one was that it was Norman Osborn Yeah, I thought that too. That seems too obvious. I want to think it has something to do with the hat. They focused on him holding a hat for a second...I don't know. I saw The Watch. Hilarious f@&$%#!g movie! it was funny, dirty, sarcastic. There was explosions! Jonah Hill is the man. Quote
Leo604 Posted August 3, 2012 Posted August 3, 2012 Just finished Master and Commander; Russell Crowe and Paul Bettany were awesome. Quote
just2good Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 Saw Total Recall yesterday (the new one). Fun summer popcorn movie with a bit of a confusing plot and lackluster character development. Worth watching though. 7.25/10 Quote
Scorpiox Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 Watched Spielberg's blockbuster Saving Private Ryan. Very realistic with good action sequences, I thought that Tom Hanks was excellent as well. Quote
Fives Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 Watchd 'Chronicle' last night. Really great movie! Although the plot seemed like it was going nowhere for the first while, it was still really amusing. A really cool special effects movie, and the handheld camera aspect of it was awesome. Made the whole movie more personal for the viewer. 8.5/10 Quote
Praiter Yed Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 'snip' I watched Chronicle recently and was pleansantly surprised - didn't follow all the movie stereotypes I thought it would. Just watched Contagion on DVD - really good film - played the whole global pandemic scenario in a realistic way and made good use of a big name cast (only bad thing about it was Jude Law's dodgy Aussie accent ) . Quote
Bilbo Baggins Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 I just watched Chronicle as well, I thought it was great although it has some really violent scenes. Quote
Vindicare Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 Total Recall. Good non stop action throughout the entire movie. Kate Beckinsale and Jessica Biel duking it out wasn't too bad, either. Quote
Bilbo Baggins Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 Just watched "That's my Boy". 8/10, it is the funniest movie I've watched in months. It was awesome the role of Vanilla Ice. Quote
Nightshroud99 Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 The Last Picture Show. A stark reminder at the capriciousness of life, a really good film but sad. Quote
purpleparadox Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 Not exactly a movie, but I watched Urine Town (a musical). Despite the gross/comedic name...it is one of the most gritty, twisted, grim, musicals I've seen in years. Any of you guys seen it? Quote

I watched Dr. Horrible's Sing ALong Blog the other night. Joss Whedon is a genius. Quote
purpleparadox Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 (edited) Never seen it, but heard about it. Was it any good? It was pretty good. It keeps your attention. Like I said though, incredibly twisted, from beginning to end. Edited August 7, 2012 by purpleparadox Quote
Vindicare Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 Step Up Revolution. Cool soundtrack, great dancing, hip hop/breaking in particular. Story was meh... Quote
just2good Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 (edited) Saw Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days. I know it's a bad movie. I love the book series, and this isn't the greatest adaption of the books. But, since I enjoy the books, I enjoyed this movie. I laughed a lot, actually. Also, this was the best of the trilogy (so far). Heck, I enjoyed this more than Total Recall, but I know that is a better movie than this. Additionally, I know you guys will not enjoy this film as much as me, since most of you are out of the target audience. I guess my rating is since I'm so close to the series. 6.5/10 Edited August 9, 2012 by just2good Quote
