sens1992 Posted February 21, 2010 Posted February 21, 2010 I think I might have posted a photo of that one before but it probably had no decals and the photo selection was kind of limited... So this time, there are more photos on my flickr link. This is a Hybrid Bus new to the fleet of our transit authority here in Ottawa (OC Transpo). I know that the doors are not quite like on a real city bus but once again, this is a LDD Design By Me order so I wanted to keep cost under control! So here is the flickr link to my creation: http://www.flickr.com/photos/45260367@N08/...57623357282967/ And this second link is an actual photo of an Ottawa Hybrid Bus: http://www.flickr.com/photos/chip200/41639...in/photostream/ Thanks for viewing! prateek Posted February 21, 2010 Posted February 21, 2010 Cool bus! It looks really realistic, and I love the decals Quote
sens1992 Posted February 21, 2010 Author Posted February 21, 2010 Thanks Prateek. The TTC has that model too, you can see in TO for real. Quote
slacker int Posted February 22, 2010 Posted February 22, 2010 Nice work! I was in Ottawa last week for winterlude and saw a few of these buses, you have captured the look well! As Prateek already said, nice work on those decals... I especially like the out of service sign board on the front with the wheelchair accessible logo. I have a bus designed in CAD ready to be brick built too, but am still struggling with this cost issues (don't have any "extra" money for lego)... But it's always nice to see other peoples LDD models come to form. Quote

lightningtiger Posted February 22, 2010 Posted February 22, 2010 Another one of your fantastic MOC's 'sens1992' - very nice indeed. Great colours and stickering too ! I'm a conformist! 'sens1992' I'm a conformist! ! Quote
Ricecracker Posted February 22, 2010 Posted February 22, 2010 Nice! An Orion VII NextGen? I've been wanting to build a TTC version of one these for a long time. Yours has everything I;d include, plus more. My only suggestion would be to add bigger wheels, but that's a minor irk. Quote
Legostein Posted February 22, 2010 Posted February 22, 2010 Hello! A very sleek looking bus you ahve there! That way a brand new bus would look like when leaving the factory. I like the brick-built musguards for the wheels a lot. Cheers, ~ Christopher Quote
Fugazi Posted February 22, 2010 Posted February 22, 2010 Nicely done! Do you have any pics of your interior layout? Quote
sens1992 Posted February 22, 2010 Author Posted February 22, 2010 Thanks Lightningtiger, Ricecracker, Legostein and space6901. It is indeed an Orion VII Next Generation! I agree, the bigger wheels could make it look better. I updated my flickr link for some interior shots. Ottawa's seats are usually blue but my bus has brown ones since LDD had only a limited choice. Thanks again for all comments. Quote
ImLost Posted March 6, 2010 Posted March 6, 2010 Wow! Absolutely gorgeous. One of the best LEGO buses I've seen. I agree with Ricecracker about adding bigger wheels but everything else is so incredible, it is easy to overlook that one tiny problem. How many does it seat? I would love to see a photo of this bus full of passengers. Quote
