benny Posted February 22, 2010 Posted February 22, 2010 (edited) I finished a fish market several months ago. In Jan 2010, i wanted to make some improvements, so i pushed the market down and re-made it again. Firstly, i made a smaller fish market, the remained area was used as storage area and transportation slope. The facilities inside the market included walk-in freezer, office, toilet, fish selling area and lowing bay. The lowing bay can provide two parkings for the vehicles. Besides, i also made a boat repairing house, its style is following the outlook of 4856 ( spiderman set). The color and style is same as the fishmarket. The facilities incuded the restroom, storage area and working table (follow some example in brickshelf). One original boat 4005 is waiting for repairing. At the port, it has lamp and boat parking area. One fishing boat is parking. One worker is fishing, you can see the crab and lobster are living near the port. So many workers and fishmen are working in the zone. A cat wanted to eat a fish. more photos about the inside of boat repairng house will be posted later! Rick Posted February 22, 2010 Posted February 22, 2010 I like the changes you've made. The color scheme, brown and green is great. I also like how you've created the dock next to the building. The forklift is a nice design as well. more photos about the inside of boat repairng house will be posted later! Looking forward to those... Quote
Zorbas Posted February 22, 2010 Posted February 22, 2010 I really enjoy looking at your creations benny! You 're capable of capturing the atmosphere of a busy environment in a great way! All the details look superb! The small fishing boat is very well designed and the boat repairing house looks superb. The old tugboat... A great move of adding it in the scene! Thanks for sharing the very beautiful pictures with us! Quote

As i forgot to upload the photos about the dock to brickshelf, i will upload them as soon as possible. Then you can take a look inside. In last week, i bought a second hand 4020, you will see more and more boats and ships later. My next taget will a super size dock for 4030. Quote
BlueBard Posted February 22, 2010 Posted February 22, 2010 Great! Nicely designed and full of life MOC Quote
benny Posted February 22, 2010 Author Posted February 22, 2010 (edited) Great! Nicely designed and full of life MOC Thanks a lot!! As i follow the outlook of Spiderman 4856 set to make the dock, i think it is my lego set only....not the MOC. In Hong Kong, some lego fans are agruing this may be not MOC. However, i am happy to see that so many lego fans in eurobrick forum enjoy my product. Edited February 22, 2010 by benny Quote

benny Posted February 22, 2010 Author Posted February 22, 2010 Nice use of the scorpion as a lobster Thanks! So the scorpion 's tail is blocked by the bottom of dock, it become a lobster. Quote
lightningtiger Posted February 22, 2010 Posted February 22, 2010 This MOC is getting better all the time, lots of action with fish and boats ! Those fishermen look grumpy to me - be careful what you say to them or you'll get used as bait ! I'm a conformist! 'benny' I'm a conformist! ! Quote
sens1992 Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 Wow, this is a super MOC. Great idea! I really like it Quote

Tom Bricks Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 Looks great. In that first picture the guy with the overall is one of the best uses of those basketball player heads I've ever seen. Quote
benny Posted February 23, 2010 Author Posted February 23, 2010 (edited) To Tom Bricks: Yes, the head is come from a basketball player! however, his outlook is matched to the fisherman. To: dr spock: Oh! We are also the 4 wide car fans. New photos were posted! Edited February 23, 2010 by benny Quote
Legostein Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 Hello! That's really a pleasure to look at! The harbour theme was probably my favourite aspect of town/city, and your creations fits in perfectly. I like the small cutter you've created and it's also a pleasure seeing the old tugboat back in action. Cheers, ~ Christopher Quote
Follows Closely Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 I too like the brown and green. Same colors I am using on my current MOC. Quote

Eilif Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 Benny, this is fabulous, I have a boatbuilder building on my seashore, but I didnt think to build a proper wet boathouse. Beautiful! The dockside action is great also. It feels very much in-motion. Quote
ImLost Posted March 6, 2010 Posted March 6, 2010 Beautiful! I love the brown and green together. I also love the sign with the word "fish" written in Chinese. But last time I checked, the bottom line is supposed to be solid, not dotted. Anyways, great scene. I enjoy the busy-looking atmosphere! Quote
henryhotspurs Posted March 7, 2010 Posted March 7, 2010 what I love about this MOC is the story it tells. It is really full of depth and motion! Keep up the good work! Quote

But last time I checked, the bottom line is supposed to be solid, not dotted. Anyways, great scene. I enjoy the busy-looking atmosphere! The "fish" is written in traditional chinese form with the dots. Simplified is with the straight line. so yeah. GREAT MOC! Quote
