Legorski Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 An Entry for the Jolly Roger Contest, Imperial Impressment; When the recruits get thin, the Imperials go out and strongly "encourage" sailors to sign up. Most of the sailors become very "enthusiastic" in signing up, and almost all join without further "encouragement". The Entire Entry The "Recruit" The "Encouragement" flickr Extra Pics: The Shadow in this pic gives the Imperials a sinister look... Muhahahaha! Well Thanks for looking, Hope You Like It! 8D Quote
Fires-storm Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 I love the chain along the pier you did, and the planning is quite clever, I love it! Keep bricking Quote
Abaddon127 Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 I like this piece of work. Just out of curiosity, was this sort of "recruitment" technique actually used by navies of the time? Quote
Admiral Croissant Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 Nice MOC, Maybe you could make it a little bit more interesting by adding tiles to the top of the roofs and giving this MOC a bit more colour. But it is just fine now, and I like the chainfence. Good work and good luck in the contest. Quote
Blackheart Brit Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 I like your dock/pier very much, simple and effective. Quote
Rick Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 Nice scene on such a small footprint. ImperialScouts sure had a lot less trouble in convincing people to sign up for his 42nd blue coat regiment Quote
Zorro Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 Nice MOC, and a very realistic scenery for back then in those days. Especcialy in Britain and France they used to 'recruit' this way. The unemployed and poor women were send of to the colonies, together with their children. Much luck with the contest! Quote
Captain Blackmoor Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 Very nice creation! Nice clear pictures as well, great job. Press gang MOCs are always great fun to look at, the poor pressed guys and the cruel press gang. Very nice. Quote
Derfel Cadarn Posted February 24, 2010 Posted February 24, 2010 Nice entry you've made here, gets the point across well! Nice details and i like the chain railing which looks good here. Good luck in the contest Quote
Big Cam Posted February 24, 2010 Posted February 24, 2010 I love this scene, consider it blogged. Quote

D So the more men the more chance he joins, and if he doesn't join they can all take turns shooting and using his dead body for decoys to lure bluecoats into a trap. :pir-skull: Quote
