Fits right in with the rest. Simple, effective, colorful.

Thanks 'Rick' for your kind comment :sweet: - that's the idea I was pointing towards - simple while being colourful - take the display it's paintboxed from an image from petrol pump maker just to give it some more realism.

Clean straight lines and this all fit in to place !

I'm a conformist! 'Rick' and everyone else ! :sweet:

I love this forum...lol

Very cool - I stopped at one of these in real life only just two days ago and I can tell you this is pretty true to form!

Thank you 'Harrison Bored' for your kind comment :sweet: - I use flickr and google images plus web searches and of course my camera (well it's the wife's camera I just use it so to speak) !

More things will be added externally to this as well as finishing off the roof trim.

Looks great, now you need a roadhouse/food section with tables and food. Don't forget steak and coffee (for some reason if you are a truck driver, you can get really cheap steak and coffee at roadhouses all along the Eyre Highway)

And some parking for trucks.

If it was stand-alone away from a town I would suggest motel accommodation and caravan parking spots but since its in a town, any accommodation would likely be elsewhere in the town.

You do need some caravan parking spots though somewhere :)

Having done the entire length of the road between Perth and Broken Hill (including the entire Eyre Highway across the Nullabor Plain) I have seen quite a few roadhouses (many of which are BP actually) :)

Thanks for the reply 'jonwil', food for thought - so to speak eh ?

This is actually in the town centre itself and the tyre dealer might be positioned next to it.

I will be designing a proper road house with more pumps and an take away or thing food wise in it - along like a town by-pass like a real country town.

Hey Lightningtiger, a mini BP! I really like it. The interior is nice. DO you have BP's in Australia because altought I made one, we don't have them around eastern Canada! Great little MOC.

Thanks 'sens1992' and 'The Player No.1' for your comments - cool Q&A time !

Right now to start, 1. Heaps and heaps of BP's down under - either plain ones, Wild Bean Cafes or On The Run super outlets with supermarket, Subway, coffee, you can just about name it !

2. If you are talking about the empty gap along the shop - that is space for another building to be attached to this particular base plate. :sweet:

Going to design some warning/saftey signage plus a few more of driveway accessories today, post images a.s.a.p. !

Thanks again folks and I'm a conformist! ! :sweet:

I'm talking about the photo:

The top, in the right side isn't level.

Greetings

Oh, sorry......I didn't push down hard enough one one side to lock it on the studs right (that's my guess anyway) !

Looking good so far lightningtiger

I know this would use alot more bricks but maybe you should try making it look abit more like This. Thats what BP stations in NZ look most like.

Nice job though! Looking forward to more!

Thanks 'CommanderFox' for your kind comments.......well I looked at that picture of a large BP driveway and I'm saving that for my roadhouse..........might be a Shell.

As Lego does have yellow and red components for me to do a modern driveway with pumps.

This is just a small country town station as if it's being there for many years.

But thanks again and I'm a conformist! 'CommanderFox' ! :sweet:

Looking very nice lightningtiger!

I really like the fact that it can be placed both in a city and a classic town layout. The size is very succesful.

P.S

Lots of MOCs! :sweet:

Man, are you on fire or what?

Keep it just like that!

I'm smokin' !

Thanks 'Zorbas' for those kind words - yeah I guess I have been a bit busy doing MOC's and now guess what ?

There are more comming this week, I have started on a glazier's truck (you know carries glass for windows and doors) plus I be making a start finally on the PUB - the most important building in any Aussie country town !

Thanks 'sens1992' for your nice comment ! :sweet:

Yeah, it does seem to have that classic feel to it, just like a 377 Shell servo, the first Lego servo I ever had when I was a child. :sweet:

Its funny you should mention that your first set was the 377 Shell Service Station... The second set I got as a child was also a gas station ( http://www.brickset.com/detail/?Set=6378-1 ). It is probably why I have a thing for building gas stations! I also own: http://www.brickset.com/detail/?Set=6394-1 and http://www.brickset.com/detail/?Set=7993-1. These plus my BP and Texaco gas station... There is definetly no shortage of gas stations in my LEGO city...

Well then 'sens1992' you do have a nice collection of servo's - now all you need is a storage depot to ship fuel to them !

Maybe 'The Brickster' could start a poll on service stations - like which one is judged as the best eh ?

Back on target now - I be adding some gardens to the front of this and maybe a take-away food place along side the BP shop in the next few days.

I'm a conformist! everyone ! :sweet:
