fallentomato Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 Alright team! I know we're all frustrated because we can't find those torches and scared ****less because someone or something is picking us off one by one , but let's put out heads together and solve this thing! Maybe the problem is low morale and lack of leadership (and emoticons ). *takes Johnson's bowtie from Sylvia's purse and puts it on* Well now I'm taking charge! Let's look around the room again and see if we can see anything we've missed. I don't think anyone explicitly looked inside the fountain yet *Peeks inside fountain* *Donna picks up the parchment. There is an old quill wrapped in it. The parchment itself appears completely blank.* We still have that mysterious blank parchment and what about that quill? Is there anything unusual about it?
Svelte Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 We still have to open the second dark tan compartment. It was implied there was some trigger we hadn't yet activated, or there was a peg holding it in place. Is there anything in the central statue's other hand? The one we can't see? What about in the gap near the foliage above the right 'wolf' head?
Hinckley Posted March 19, 2010 Author Posted March 19, 2010 *Peeks inside fountain* *You're getting much warmer! Hot in fact...*
Shadows Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 I'd like to look under those grey altar-y things for torches and if that fails, push on some of the tiles around the wolf heads looking for a compartment. After that, I'd like to call 1-800-TORCHES, I hear they offer a wide variety of styles and are currently advertising free shipping on qualifying orders over $25 during the Red Moon.
fallentomato Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 *You're getting much warmer! Hot in fact...* That might just be my sexy new bowite *Checks all sides of fountain* *Tries twisting the fountain* *Kicks the fountain* *Clutches foot in pain*
Dragonator Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 If the fountains aren't too heavy, I would like to try shifting one to the side or lifting one, perhaps with the help of another strong, muscular male like me. Perhaps we will find a compartment of some sort underneath?

Perhaps we will find a compartment of some sort underneath? I'd like to get up close behind Diesel and apply my strong, muscular body to help him get it moving. Then we'll work on that fountain.
Sir Dillon Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 If moving the fountain doesn't work, I would like to try turning it.
iamded Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 What about the fountain filled with tiles? I would like to rummage through the tiles in the fountain closest to the wall, and see if there are any torches buried in there... Also, see those tiles sticking out of the walls around the wolves' heads either side of the armoured statue? I would like to knock on them, see if I can discern any loose tiles, or if there sounds like empty space behind any. (Empty space that could, say, hold a clue or something?)

The lift the basin off revealing a hidden chamber beneath. The chamber contains two stone torches.* I'd like to get up close behind Diesel and apply my strong, muscular body to help him get it moving. Then we'll work on that fountain. *Sheldon rapes Diesel.* If moving the fountain doesn't work, I would like to try turning it. *Senile old Diana attempts to turn the fountain, whose secret has already been frekin' revealed.* What about the fountain filled with tiles?I would like to rummage through the tiles in the fountain closest to the wall, and see if there are any torches buried in there... The tiles have already been used and it's already been established that the tiles on the other panel are firmly attached...*
Svelte Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 I would like to place the two torches in the centre statues hand and then look on excitedly as the Portal of Atlantis opens as whatever happens, happens. I would also like to hand Diesel the only thing I have resembling a hanky - Johnson's bow-tie - so he can clean himself up
Hinckley Posted March 19, 2010 Author Posted March 19, 2010 I would like to place the two torches in the centre statues hand ... *Really?* :hmpf:
Dragonator Posted March 20, 2010 Posted March 20, 2010 *Really?* :hmpf: Don't mind her, she's still a little confused after the fall. I would like to take the torches and put one torch in left hand of the statue on the left, and the other torch in the left hand of the statue on the left. Then, I shall make sure the centre statue has his swords locked into the crossed position, and watch as something amazing and magical happens. If nothing happens, I'll switch the torch that the right statue is holding from its left hand to its right hand, and then watch again as something magical happens. If again nothing happens, then I will curse loudly and seek comfort in the arms of Sheldon my wife. *Sheldon rapes Diesel.*
Svelte Posted March 20, 2010 Posted March 20, 2010 My arm is in a sling and I can't type proper. It's not nice to make fun of blondes Does anyone have any narcotics I can borrow?
Zapper Brick Posted March 20, 2010 Posted March 20, 2010 Ok, we got the torches. Now I figure out which one of you to slap.
fallentomato Posted March 20, 2010 Posted March 20, 2010 *Once Diesel put the torches and swords in place, I go to the locked 2x2 cabinet and try to open it and remove whatever lies inside.*
Zepher Posted March 20, 2010 Posted March 20, 2010 *Now that he swords and torches have been applied I would liketo once again try to turn the central figure of the room.*

iamded Posted March 20, 2010 Posted March 20, 2010 I would like to take the torches and put one torch in left hand of the statue on the left, and the other torch in the left hand of the statue on the left. I would like to take the torch he tried to ram in the left hand of the left statue which was already holding the torch he just put there, and put it in the left hand of the statue on the right. If that doesn't work, then in the right hand of the statue on the right. Then we should be set. Hopefully.
Dragonator Posted March 20, 2010 Posted March 20, 2010 Oh for the love of sausages... *Who's confused now?? * I can't help it, I just had something else rammed somewhere I do not wish to disclose. So, err, I'll stick the second torch in the left hand of the statue on the right, and then follow through as stated before. OK? Is that enough now!? Because if not I'm going to scream. Err, in a manly way, of course.
Hinckley Posted March 21, 2010 Author Posted March 21, 2010 *Diesel places the torch into the left hand of the statue on the left. He places the torch into the left hand of the statue on the right and nothing happens. I mean, honestly, why would I make you find the right hand if you didn't need to use it??*
iamded Posted March 21, 2010 Posted March 21, 2010 I would like to take the torch out of the left hand of the statue on the right and put it in it's right hand. Then make sure the left statue has the torch in it's left hand, and make sure the center statue has the two swords in a crossed position, so we can all be sure and solve this puzzle! Yeah!

Hinckley Posted March 21, 2010 Author Posted March 21, 2010 *The remaining panel opens and there is an old piece of parchment inside. The parchment contains the following writing: ...Esurio showed signs of aging and his eyes filled with blood during his final days. The human body cannot contain the evil the temple unearthed. Henceforth, let it be know that he who awakens the beast is susceptible to the hunger of the beast. And it came to pass as Esurio had been re-claimed by the evil beast that the beast itself lost a measure of its power against the remaining inhabitants of the temple. When the time of the final battle arrived, one weapon alone could not topple the beast, but the assemblage of all the weapons we forged was able to send the demon back to the bowels of the underworld. Our spirits reside in this temple in the form of the stones. We can protect you on the path that you choose. Look for the stones, yet understand their power before you take possession. The cold and darkness that overtakes those who choose the evil path can be undone.*
Siegfried Posted March 21, 2010 Posted March 21, 2010 *Sheldon rapes Diesel.* Did I miss anything? It's not nice to make fun of blondes Does anyone have any narcotics I can borrow? I have a pack of Panadeine Fortes if you'd like one or two. Henceforth, let it be know that he who awakens the beast is susceptible to the hunger of the beast. Hmmm, that reminds me; I'm hungry!
