UsernameMDM Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 Here is my attempt at making a realistic impulse style set. I would love for a set like this to come out. I tried to make something useful on its own and that had useful MOCing parts if taken apart. Comments and critiques welcome: Training Pell, knight and armor/weapon stand: In action: Unarmored pell: Empty armor/weapon stand: Piece count (23 if you include the visor helm as a part of the minifig): BrickShelf Folder: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=422367 Quote
I Scream Clone Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 Looks great, probably one or two pieces more than the average impulse set, but not far off. I certainly would buy it for the parts alone Quote
lightningtiger Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 What a great impulse idea 'UsernameMDM' ! Might just make one of these myself for my son's castle collection ! Cool little MOC and I'm a conformist! ! Quote
CommanderFox Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 Very nice MOC impulse UsernameMDM. The parts count is about right, and its a good selection of them aswell. nice job! CommanderFox Quote
Huntleyfx Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 Hmm, I might have to borrow these ideas for my castle's barracks. Great idea! Quote

But other than that: an excellent idea for an impulse set that could instantly be released by TLG. Well done. Quote
NorthernKnight Posted February 27, 2010 Posted February 27, 2010 Nice little set, definitely more playability than The Knight. Quote
Raven Brickroft Posted February 28, 2010 Posted February 28, 2010 Nice impulse MOC. Too much accessories but still looks great. Quote
samurai-turtle Posted February 28, 2010 Posted February 28, 2010 I would replace the helmet w/ the mask (I do not know the technical name of it) with a single piece helmet. That would seem more economical from a business point of view. Quote
UsernameMDM Posted March 1, 2010 Author Posted March 1, 2010 Thanks for the comments everyone. To lower the piece count, I could replace the armor/weapon rack with a barrel or small crate to put weapons in and the soldier could just wear the armor. Quote
