sam89 Posted November 20, 2004 Author Posted November 20, 2004 ********Spoiler*********Ki-Adi-Mundi died in the Clone Wars Cartoon, and is a "ghost" in the movie, like Obiwan is in the old trilogy. But maybe we get an transperent Ki-Adi-Mundi. ********Spoiler over******** *SPOILER* It wont let me change the colour of the writing for some reason, so scroll down. *I don't think he did. He nearly died at the end of the Clone Wars cartoon. And the 'ghost' thing I think is him as a hologram. Here's a link to a pic (note the name of the pic): http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v372/jee..._hologramme.jpg *
DoubleT Posted November 20, 2004 Posted November 20, 2004 Edit Well sorry sam89 ;) Didnt know how well you knew Explore/Duplo sets ;)
sam89 Posted November 20, 2004 Author Posted November 20, 2004 Sorry for being so picky today, but Brickset says that set came out in 2002, so it's not new :-D

David85 Posted November 20, 2004 Posted November 20, 2004 Whats the point of this thread... http://eurobricks.hosting.ipsyn.com/forum/...=165entry7536 :P
Vader Posted November 20, 2004 Posted November 20, 2004 Ki adi is still alive at the start of ep 3, theirs a few lines in the new star wars magazine that has a pic of him in the jedi council room and the text states that hes their via hologram from the battlefront.
DoubleT Posted November 20, 2004 Posted November 20, 2004 People arnt really off topic are they? lol ;) Well David is right please discuss Star Wars in the other topic :)
mahjqa Posted November 23, 2004 Posted November 23, 2004 In an attempt to get it back on track again: New Ferrari Enzo model And here's the lugnet post about it.
ApophisV Posted November 23, 2004 Posted November 23, 2004 Wow.... THIS thing is finally a "racer" I'd like to own.... *satis*
mahjqa Posted November 23, 2004 Posted November 23, 2004 Yup, I dig it. I hope those things on the windshield are stickers. I wonder if this thing has a pull-back motor, a working engine (technic parts) or a 'modeled' engine (replicated in lego bricks, but not functional). I really like how this thing is modeled with nearly only pre-existing parts. I don't really mind about the new wheelarches part, as doing it otherwise wouldn't give a clean result like this. I hope this model has steering (though the wheelarches seem awfully small for that) and opening doors... but if it doesn't, I'm sure the AFOLs will mod them into it, as this is a really likeable model.
sam89 Posted November 23, 2004 Author Posted November 23, 2004 That is really cool! I hope the Technic version coming out is as good!
jonfett Posted November 23, 2004 Posted November 23, 2004 Sweet! That sure is a nice looking racer. I think I like the Lego form better than the real thing!! Some really good parts in there, I like the windscreen. But one thing that bugs me is that there are holes in the engine :/ Jon.
DoubleT Posted November 23, 2004 Posted November 23, 2004 I would not complain if they make more sets like this ;)
David85 Posted November 23, 2004 Posted November 23, 2004 I would not complain if they make more sets like this ;) I'm sure we will get to complain plenty, just look at the other Racer sets.
DoubleT Posted November 23, 2004 Posted November 23, 2004 Well I do think people complain too much ;)
Jipay Posted November 23, 2004 Posted November 23, 2004 especially on a challenging website that we won't name here |-D
DoubleT Posted November 23, 2004 Posted November 23, 2004 playmobil.com? Sorry... I just noticed i said some bad words.... im ashamed.... atleast i did not say meg..... nooooo
Wolf04 Posted November 23, 2004 Posted November 23, 2004 Exactly what I posted on www.fbtb.net: "That's ugly, no where near the real thing. Real sloppy design. It should have been made out of technic beams. With the flexo beams, the curvature could have been better." "What I'm trying to say is that it may be good in some ways, it looks like a MOC done by a 12-year old and not a well-known company. It doesn't look Lego company-worthy and it is waay to blocky, where are those curvy pieces when you need 'em? For example, the F1 sets are brilliant and look excellent but not this. And since when am I not allowed to say what my opinion is? Have a swore or done anything against the rules? Nop...then shush. Rolling Eyes Hopefully the technic version will be better. EDIT: How is it sloppy? Well it's just ugly!!! The side air intakes are probably the only good-looking things. The windshield is all wrong and look at the side. The bricks go very well and smoothly over the wheels and when you go the front, the pieces are of a different slope and totally messed. The smoothness doesn't continue like in the real model. I'm a real fan of Ferrari and especially the Enzo and this model is a disgrace." EDIT: Umm skip over then part where I talk about my freedom of opinion. Has nothing to do with www.eurobricks.com :)
DoubleT Posted November 23, 2004 Posted November 23, 2004 Dont worry Wolf04, here you have freedom of speach, just as long you dont misbehave :) And i know the freedom of speach thing you say, is to an other site....;)
David85 Posted November 24, 2004 Posted November 24, 2004 Once again the reason why you should only post here.
ApophisV Posted November 24, 2004 Posted November 24, 2004 Damn... I really liked this set.... >-| Actually I'm not into cars, technic or any city themes or anything related, I thought this "racers" set is just cool.... Nonetheless this set shows the genreal idea of the original car to the puplic... Like me, most people don't know the Enzo good enough to see that there are BAD differences between the Lego version and the original... So maybe I'm in the situation to judge this from another point of view than you, Wolf.... But nonetheless very nice to see another opinion on this!!! :)
Wolf04 Posted November 24, 2004 Posted November 24, 2004 Thanks people. I have seen this car in reality at the Toronto Auto Show and it is a true beauty. While many people think it is very boxy, it is not. It has a lot of curves and it is a very complex car. It is very hard to do it with Lego bricks but with Lego's new specialized pieces, I think a better result could have been made. I guess the designers at Lego just looked at the pictures and said "Ummm I guess this looks fairly close to it." They needed a car enthusiast's opinion (like me :P) to show them what could be improved. I don't understand how they could make such nice F1 cars but ugly street cars. Hopefully the Technic one would be much better.
