David85 Posted November 29, 2004 Posted November 29, 2004 There are other pictures of sets I don't care about, but I'm bored and will post the Belville sets. :) Look at the pieces in this set.... Like that tree...... Then there are these.... 8641 Fleming Glider 8642 monsters Crusher 8643 power Cruiser 8644 Street Maniac 8645 Muscle Slammer Bike 8646 speed Slammer Bike 8647 Night Racer 8648 Buzz Saw, Racer 8650 Furious Slammer Racer Here's one, but I'm sure others are up. I don't think these are Bionicle through, but who knows.
ImperialJohn Posted November 29, 2004 Posted November 29, 2004 Hi I saw that tree with snow on the top when we visited the production just two weeks ago !!!!! It looks great. Just what I need for the christmas layout :) And the last one is Bionicle! It is shown in the new Bionicle 2 DVD in the extras! By the way. Did you know that: 1. Lego has 750 machines producing bricks. 500 of these run 360 days a year 24 hours a day. 2. They use 45-60 ton of plastic a day. 3. They have a storage 50 meters long, 50 meters wide and 24 meters high. This holds 225.000 boxes of different lego bricks.
Jipay Posted November 29, 2004 Posted November 29, 2004 Thanks to David and Jon for all the news ! :) This year, we are going back to roots with LEGO :) What annoys me is that now I have to buy 5+ sets instead of 9+ sets :-D
Vader Posted November 29, 2004 Posted November 29, 2004 That tree does look good however i really dont care for anything else in these sets....then again these sets arnt aimed at me :-D .
Padawan716 Posted November 29, 2004 Posted November 29, 2004 Holy megablock. 7249 is amazing. :oo And I can finally get that street sweeper I always wanted :D
Vader Posted November 29, 2004 Posted November 29, 2004 Well judging by the street cleaners face he sure dosent have job satisfaction :-D , still the set is a nice one and im sure ill buy it.
Jipay Posted November 29, 2004 Posted November 29, 2004 And I can finally get that street sweeper I always wanted :D I know what you mean :-D This is the kind of 5 euros sets that is 20 on bricklink ! :-D I'm just sooo happy they released something like this :) And this mobile crane is sooo cool !
Vader Posted November 29, 2004 Posted November 29, 2004 After a year of shabby sets my faith in lego has been restored, which is something i thought id never say.
ApophisV Posted November 29, 2004 Posted November 29, 2004 Those Belville sets are great part sources!!! :D Look at that BURPs, are they two-colored? It looks like they are basically white with some mint green shades.... And the accessories that come with them.... Animals (not the Dog, the usable ones... ;)), cristals, gold coins, books, glasses..... And much, much more... *wub*
mahjqa Posted November 29, 2004 Posted November 29, 2004 I'm digging the street sweeper, very 6649. (And I hope some kids will choose this one as a set, personally I think most of them will pick a racers set instead... :( ) The construction set seems great, too. lots of playability. The police van finally makes sense. When the first pictures of it were released it seemed bland an dull, but it seems that Lego is doing the 'Localisation' thing again, and includes stickers that vary by country. (Anglosaxons get 'police' stickers, germans 'polizei', french go for 'gendarmes' and so on) The mold for the wheelarches is a bit diferent, I kind of like the old one better.... The other construction and fire minisets are nice, nothing to add here. Makes for good small gifts. All Hail the giant crane. It seems a bit cluttered, but that's no biggie. Small details: Lego side-doors are alive and kicking (phew) Did we already have that pneumatic drill minifig accessory? Lots of yellow/black striped 1*4*1/3 plates. Looks really sturdy, and playability is through the roof. Fire station: Somewhat nice, though not shockingly good. NEXT! Star wars doesn't do much for me. The smallish technic sets are cute. Gotta pick me up some. Furious slammer racer: Whatever. NEXT! The Technic Enzo seems weird, as it's almost fully covered in plates. the technic whizzes have gotten the doors to work, which is awesome. I can't wait to see what other functions it has. (gearbox? suspension?) Ferrari racer set: Whoa, Nelly. Every kid's going to want one. Lots of playability, especially since certain parts seem to be changeable? Yay for customisation. It's *almost* as good as This one. I am VERY satisfied about this year's lineup.
KimT Posted November 29, 2004 Posted November 29, 2004 NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO *sick* They've turned H.C Andersen into Belville..... I hoped they'd made the annual sets in standard... I wanted them but now.... I just dunno. Nuts! But perhaps it's a good thing... will make this year somewhat cheaper for me. Except for all the City I have to buy. Great sets. LEGO is doing something right next year. KimT "Onwards men! Victory is at hand!" Famous last words
DoubleT Posted November 29, 2004 Posted November 29, 2004 Looking at the sets, there is alot of old bricks, that used again. They are trying to make sets with the old good feling..... And its working..... |-D
David85 Posted November 29, 2004 Posted November 29, 2004 The police van finally makes sense. The pictures are the pre-final design pictures, the other pictures of the Fire and Police together are the final designs. Like I said the Fire Station changed a lot. The stickers are odd, they are "Fire" in English and is German. I think they are doing the same for the "Police" ones too. Why only english and German I do not know.
Vader Posted November 29, 2004 Posted November 29, 2004 That is strange regarding the stickers *wacko*, still im sure lego will sort it out for the final sets.
David85 Posted November 29, 2004 Posted November 29, 2004 That is strange regarding the stickers *wacko*, still im sure lego will sort it out for the final sets. I owe the sets! How much more final can they get?! :D
Vader Posted November 29, 2004 Posted November 29, 2004 Forgot about that :$ well perhaps theyll be different for europe, but hey im english so it wont matter to me :-D
David85 Posted November 29, 2004 Posted November 29, 2004 Well in America there are two languages, English and #^*$@in Spanish. Yet they have English and German for stickers, it's freaky.
Vader Posted November 29, 2004 Posted November 29, 2004 Perhaps you guys got the wrong batch, it wouldnt be the first time messed up anyone remember the clone torso in the new falcon. :-D
Orlego Posted November 29, 2004 Posted November 29, 2004 Wow, I'm gone for two days and all these pics show up. I have to say that I love the new construction sets. It looks like Lego is doing a very good thing... going back to the good old days. 7448 is pretty cool. It is great to have a street sweeper (7242) without spending $20 at bricklink. The construction yard (7243) is one of the greatest constructions sets I've seen. And the crane (7249) is just amazing!! The Ferrari & Knights Kingdom stuff is pretty cool, just not my thing.
Ras 74 Posted November 29, 2004 Posted November 29, 2004 Orlego said:Lego is doing a very good thing... going back to the good old days. Well that was my thought as well when I first saw the "World City" stuff. I just hoped they would continue in the good way they started. And I must really say they do... Ras
David85 Posted November 29, 2004 Posted November 29, 2004 It's not "World City" anymore, they changed it to "City" and is more child-like.
Ras 74 Posted November 29, 2004 Posted November 29, 2004 Ok, smart megablock... you know what I meen... ;) How do you meen "child-like". Don
David85 Posted November 29, 2004 Posted November 29, 2004 They are good, there are a lot of new pieces and things to make it easiuer for the children to biuld. Wait until you see the boxes, then you will know what I mean.
DoubleT Posted November 29, 2004 Posted November 29, 2004 It think they are more "Classic" now :) and gooood
