David85 Posted November 30, 2004 Posted November 30, 2004 Damn, i wish I had duplo like this as a child ! Those are so cuutttteeeee (nono, i'm not becoming gay :P ) WHAT'S THAT SUPPOSED TO MEAN!?
Orlego Posted November 30, 2004 Posted November 30, 2004 Damn, i wish I had duplo like this as a child ! Those are so cuutttteeeee (nono, i'm not becoming gay :P ) Hey Jipay, you must not have got this memo... Quote from David... My "ex" didn't care, for the simple reason he never saw any of them except for the planes. Then when we "broke up" he brought them up and I started laughing before he never saw them before. My current doesn't care, I even got him to buy a bucket, and then he got me a bucket for my birthday. And the megablock hits the fan...
Ras 74 Posted November 30, 2004 Posted November 30, 2004 LOL! Well we learn something new every day... ;) How is your boyfriend by the way David?
Vader Posted November 30, 2004 Posted November 30, 2004 Now, now then people lets stay on the subject of lego shall we.
ApophisV Posted November 30, 2004 Posted November 30, 2004 Lol, THIS thread is Eurobrick's record thread... a) NINE pages (more than 350 posts) with highest posts per page setting!!!!!!!!!!!! b) NO other thread went that often off topic.... :D c) More than 26000 views!!!
Ras 74 Posted November 30, 2004 Posted November 30, 2004 The best thread I ever seen with new stuff... I really hope you guys how finds the pics can continue this good work in the future. I like the news in the "City" line. 2005 is going to be a good year with LEGO... And a bit expensive I guess...
Jipay Posted November 30, 2004 Posted November 30, 2004 Damn, i wish I had duplo like this as a child ! Those are so cuutttteeeee (nono, i'm not becoming gay :P ) WHAT'S THAT SUPPOSED TO MEAN!? It means that gay people (at leats in my country) are more sensitive to nice cute things :) No offense here dude
mahjqa Posted November 30, 2004 Posted November 30, 2004 It happens quite a lot that serial numbers on the box are used on vehicle ID numbers, license plates and so on. As for the custom member titles, I wouldn't even know what to ask for, so that's a moot point. :D
Vader Posted November 30, 2004 Posted November 30, 2004 Well we gotta thank david for giving us such great pics of the new sets, heres hoping you continue to get these pics for us give yourself a pat on the back :)
David85 Posted November 30, 2004 Posted November 30, 2004 Now, now then people lets stay on the subject of lego shall we. HAHAHAHAHA Are we ever on topic? There are no more pictures, unless there are some set numbers I don't know about.
DoubleT Posted November 30, 2004 Posted November 30, 2004 Well its ok, you did well David :) :) :) :) And nice to see these great sets..
Vader Posted November 30, 2004 Posted November 30, 2004 Hey without you we would be stuck talking about old sets...can you imagine what that would be like??? A whole website talking megablok, if such a place exsisted it wouldnt be much fun now would it. ;)
David85 Posted November 30, 2004 Posted November 30, 2004 I could post the Bionicle sets! There are only like 50 of them. Lego wonders why they make so much money of them. They make three different sets a year, they just change the colors on those sets so there are 24 total.
Vader Posted November 30, 2004 Posted November 30, 2004 I gotta say i dont like bionicle for that very reason, to me they look cheap and nasty *sick* .
Orlego Posted November 30, 2004 Posted November 30, 2004 Lego wonders why they make so much money of them. They make three different sets a year, they just change the colors on those sets so there are 24 total. How true it is. I agree with vader316, however, someone at Lego knows what they are doing because the Bionicle line is the best selling sets Lego has. Kids know the movie line-by-line and all the names of each set (even with each set having almost the same names). Lego is doing the automotive industry thing... Lets build the same car 4 times and name it something different each time and sell it as a new model....
ApophisV Posted November 30, 2004 Posted November 30, 2004 Lego is doing the automotive industry thing... Lets build the same car 4 times and name it something different each time and sell it as a new model.... Same with Star Wars Re-Releases.... :|
Orlego Posted November 30, 2004 Posted November 30, 2004 Same with Star Wars Re-Releases.... :| How true it is! :(
Vader Posted November 30, 2004 Posted November 30, 2004 Yes but at least the Re-Releases are new, just look at the falcon its a completly new design. Still if lego can make money from bionicle then from a business point its good, and lets hope some of that money will go towards designing new sets that arent bionicle. :)
Orlego Posted November 30, 2004 Posted November 30, 2004 Yes but at least the Re-Releases are new, just look at the falcon its a completly new design. Still if lego can make money from bionicle then from a business point its good, and lets hope some of that money will go towards designing new sets that arent bionicle. :) Some are Re-designs, and some are true re-releases, or re-releases in different colors. I don't like Bionicles, but they are great for business because the kids suck them up. Bionicles have also been responsible for getting kids to acknowledge the Lego name and prove Lego is still a viable toy maker. But even Bionicles, and the lines great success, has not been able to stop Lego from bleeding to death.

This topic has been "pinned" forever. Now, what were we talking about?.... :D
Vader Posted November 30, 2004 Posted November 30, 2004 It was indeed a bad year for lego, but at least they seem to be well set up for the new year with all these great new sets that were now seeing pictures of.
KimT Posted November 30, 2004 Posted November 30, 2004 Like it or not. Bionicle is one of the best selling products LEGO has had in many years. This is why they made a "bionicle" version of the knights and King from KK. And if it makes money and allows LEGO to rerelease old sets in classics/legends then why not? Can't wait for next year. Gotta have them new city sets. Would love a global terrorism theme with a small Osama and Bush figure. :oD KimT "Onwards men! Victory is at hand!" Famous Bush sentence
