I have noticed a lot of talented builders that have displayed some of their custom work. I was wandering about the general construction of these buildings. Building like taverns, inns, homes, blacksmith shop etc.,, how do you evaualte how much a buiding would cost. I am aware of the websites that sell new and used bricks. I guess I am wandering how one would order what bricks they needed to construct a custom building??? Do you buy say 100.00 dollars worth of general pieces like roof flats and 2x4 colred blocks?? Or do you try to map out what you may need? Another ? is the base plates, how do you what to use??? I enjoy the customization and plan on bulding so things, I just don't want to spend alot of money on parts I will not need. Thanks any general building info will help!

I have been struggling with the same problem. Nowadays I don't care if I order bricks I don't need after all. You might use them in the future though.

Now I always try to build the building with my own collection. If I miss some bricks I use other colours temporarely. After that you can see what you need. I don't buy 17 bricks though, I'd rather go for 50 in that case, better too much then too less. You never know what you are going to build next.

Order a few bricks more then you need, just in case.
