Big Cam Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 I like how you mixed up some licenses to create a really good looking Pirate Crew. Quote
Sebeus I Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 Those pirates look good, this reminds me, I better get the Davy Jones, Maccus and Hadras minifigures for my Flying Dutchman but they are so expensive Maybe I'll stick to my costum versions Quote
Captain BeerBeard Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 Try Will turner in your first pic with white legs. Try Will Turner in your first pic with white legs. Lookin' good. I myself love to mix PoP and Potc and HP figs. The black head doesn't go with the indian zombie. Quote
VintageLegoEra Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 HI Mates, Well, here is my little story about Lego...;) Lego is my best favorite toy since i am a child....i am playing with it since i am 6 years old..:). I have many vintage collections from different categories: ( city, space,...etc )...but...huuuuh....back then i was small so you know what i mean..looooool. missing parts. throwing them, breaking them..heheheh. what it is remaining are built and rest bricks are stored in bags ( Thanks to Mom she did these, otherwise i will be having 0 legos...heheh ). I have some few vintage sets in great condition, but having 2-4 piece missing only...which i am so glad it is in this condition. Such as: The Blacktron castle--1987, Blue dragon castle...and i complete like new set: 6289 ship which is my best one... After 23 years i am back again but this time to collect and build them for display...:).... i was so attracted by the modern Ships like: 10210, 6243, 4195 and 4184...so i got these.... Here there are: for sure these will be build,,so if you have any advices, tips for these sets,,i will be happy to take them my 6286 and 6285 are on the way,,,so gonna be a lot of fun! Hope you liked my breife story and photos i am going to make more threads in the coming weeks and yeaaaa,,,thanks to all who assisted me on my requests! Cheers Quote
Mutant Orc Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 I am painfully jealous of those! I was either- (a) being stupid (b) in my dark evil pit of non-Lego or © skint when these came out, so I don't have them!! Regret overload!!!! Quote
naf Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 Very nice collection! I missed all the POTC ships due to being in my dark age, they certainly do look nice. 10210 was missed due to the dark ages as well, but I ended up biting the bullet and paying after market prices for a new one. It had only just gone into retirement so I still got it under $300, It looks to be well over $400 to buy new right now. Right now I have Black Seas Barracuda and 10210 on display battling each other. Perhaps it's time to get the Caribbean Clipper and 6271 Imperial Flagship out of storage to join the fight. Quote
VintageLegoEra Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 Indeed...the prices are just insane after these sets went retired..and yea..spent little high on these but at least got them..:-). I am going to start the building with 6243 but before that I will build the 6289 which I have already cleaned it and made it ready for assembly. It is so nice to make a battle scenario at display which I will do and have to buy/make a display table case to present these ships. I will make a thread on the 6289 soon:-). Cheers Quote
PlzStopImScared Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 Nice collection! These ships would make an excellent diorama. The only ship I own out of those four, is The Black Pearl. Quote
diandajiago Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 right, It had only just gone into retirement so I still got it under $300, It looks to be well over $400 to buy new right now. Quote
VintageLegoEra Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 Thanks Mates,,,:) Well, i have built the 6243 and completed today...:)..( had fun ) i will make a review in a new thread with Cons and Pros...so stay Tuned ;) regards Quote
Only Sinner Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 I have these sets, too. They make a nice addition to any collection. The pieces are good too, if you ever decide you want to MOC something. I would like to know your thoughts on the sets. Maybe a review and comparison? Quote
VintageLegoEra Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 (edited) Definitely I will make review including Cons and Pros. Once I am back home as I am away for couple of days. I will make some photos as I have finished the 6243 and post the review. :-) Edited April 1, 2014 by VintageLegoEra Quote

Matthias Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 Wonderful collection and very good presentation.I wish I would have so much space. My Collection is displayed in a little cellar room 3x3m with pipes on the ceiling. Quote
VintageLegoEra Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 @Wellwisher: Great Collection and it is soo cool feeling to have these above your Bed..I Love it :) Just be careful not to Expose Direct/Close light to the bricks as this will discolour your bricks fast :) Quote
Wellwisher Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 @VintageLegoEra Its te guest bed on the attic. I know about the sunlight. When no one sleeps there, most of the time i leave the curtans closed. Quote

Captain Braunsfeld Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 Yepp, great display. I keep my ships in boxes (the dust problem!) which makes it cumbersome to use them (find the right one in the first place...) Quote
Wellwisher Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 (edited) I find them to beautiful to put them in boxes. Still to proud of them Edited March 5, 2015 by Wellwisher Quote
Southwest Chief Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 (edited) Here's my Lego Pirates collection: . All of the sets are from my childhood except for the two new sets; 10210 Imperial Flagship and 6240 Kraken Attackin. Most of the time all these sets are stored in bins in the closet. But I decided to build them all for photos. Recently I've been adding more sets to complete my early Pirates collection up to 1994-95, so I'll have to take some newer photos. Kolonialbeamter Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 Wow, what a collection! My childhood self would have worshipped you... especially with these... sets 'from the future' Quote
