Primus Posted March 3, 2010 Posted March 3, 2010 (images link to larger sizes) So yeah, it's Cthulhu attacking some poor undersea dude. Hope y'all like it, P Quote
Wrinkledlion X Posted March 3, 2010 Posted March 3, 2010 Wow, really creative use of those bulbous pieces. He looks surprisingly organic. Quote
Davey Posted March 3, 2010 Posted March 3, 2010 Well done! I love that tire technique to create the skin (shell?) of the Cthulhu. It's a very organic and detailed build and anyone who is a Lovecraft fan is alright in my book. Great work here! -Davey Quote
Extreme Sadness. Posted March 3, 2010 Posted March 3, 2010 Heh, Cthulu is firing his lazor . But anyway, this is an awsome MOC!Cthulu looks like a cross between a heavily armored Mech and a Predator. -ES- Quote
the Inventor Posted March 3, 2010 Posted March 3, 2010 Awesome work, Primus I already saw this on Brickshelf, and now I can comment on it. It looks almost a bit organic with those rubber pieces which is great. I feel sorry for that diver, that is trying to out swim Cthulhu. the Inventor Quote
SlyOwl Posted March 3, 2010 Posted March 3, 2010 Really good work - cthulhu is nice and black fantasy - although it looks like he's wearing a beanie! The landscape is great, but the gaps round the edges feel a bit cheap. Quote
I Scream Clone Posted March 3, 2010 Posted March 3, 2010 Amazing work Primus! It really is a quite menacing beast/mech. The draping tentacles look fantastic Quote
Jebediahs Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 Where does that rubber come from? I don't see that sort of thing in my world/line. Brilliant piece here. Really cool Cthulhu with lazer beams. ORC! Quote
Walter Kovacs Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 I love the scene. Reminds me of my misspent youth, wiling away constant hours with some P&P (pencil and paper) RPGs. Cthulhu is absolutely gorgeous (can you really say that about the mighty ct?). I do agree with SlyOwl that the BURPy parts need some cover on the back end. Quote
The Crazy One Posted March 13, 2010 Posted March 13, 2010 I love it. It works surprisingly well. Nice moc. Quote
KimT Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 Wow, as a fan of H.P.Lovecraft I must say that you've caught the mood and horror pretty well. You should have posted this in Sci-Fi as I would have found it there much faster. Not much Bionicle in this, is there? Great MOC Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 *Falls into a catatonic state mumbling words in an ancient tongue dating from the ages before man.* Yay! The end of the world nigh! Excellent black fantasy Chtulhu. Lovecraft and Black fantasy go together like Mangoes and mango lassi! I like how you made Cthulhu, and he looks a bit like a deranged coal-black Santa... with lazas! Good Job ~Insectoid cultist Aristocrat Quote
The Who Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 (edited) Though I'm not too fond of Bionicle, I must say that this is really good. Cthulhu does look really natural with the tires covering him. But one question: Are you a fan of Lovecraft or Metallica? I would assume the former, but it's always worth asking. Edited April 4, 2010 by The Who Quote
