He took a pencil in his paw He filled balloons with lungs a-straining He took the deepest breath you ever saw And he was gone into the night! And still he dreams he'll meet the moon That they will live the years together But there are dreams that cannot be And outer-space he could not weather He had a dream his life would be So different from this hell he's living Endless floating, so it seems Now space has killed the dream he dreamed.
