xwingyoda Posted February 17, 2006 Posted February 17, 2006 Lets look at it this way, the Sarlaac is a kind of cool small bonus !!! Its not fantastic per se, but is a great addition to this fantastic set !!!! tophdawg, I want to see both skiff (old and new) side by side before saying one is too angular or too curved !!!! MattZitron Posted February 17, 2006 Posted February 17, 2006 Matt, i'm afraid i'll have to correct you on the problem you have with the Sarlacc, in the toyfair pics, you can clearly see poor Boba being eaten by the monster dwelling in the Pit of Carkoon. I stand corrected. What I really meant was that you can't indescriminately toss dead guys into it! I've never been a fan of the Little Shop of Horrors beak in the Special Edition. Quote
JoeMI6 Posted February 18, 2006 Author Posted February 18, 2006 Yeah, it means that Boba has no chance of escaping...(but of course, we all know hs life doesn't end there) Quote
MattZitron Posted February 18, 2006 Posted February 18, 2006 Is Boba Still alive in the EU? I know he escaped the Sarlaac, last I heard he'd restarted the Mandalorians. Quote
Graynar Posted February 18, 2006 Posted February 18, 2006 As a set the sail barge is great. But there should have been more minfigures. I mean you only get one Gammorean, Jabba, and Boba as real villains (not counting Lando as a villian). Another alien foe would have been nice. One for the Skiff, and one on the barge, operating the gun. How hard would it be for TLG to add another few figs to the set? Quote
Vader Posted February 18, 2006 Posted February 18, 2006 For me the sets good not great but good, i dont like the pit but the rest is ok as for the figs well to me thats the biggest let down, sure we get a sweet lando but thats it!!!! Wheres all the guards and aliens that were on the barge, lego has really cheapened a great set with the lack of new figs. EDIT* Hey i know i most of hit the paste button by mistake  Quote

MattZitron Posted February 18, 2006 Posted February 18, 2006 Klaatu, Barada, Nikto. Thanks Rebelscum. Quote
JoeMI6 Posted February 18, 2006 Author Posted February 18, 2006 What Vader said about lack of new figs is the sort of thing i was getting at. Another Gamorrean Guard (yay  ). The actual barge design is very good, but i think some other new figs would have added some real nice slices of much needed detail. Quote
JoeMI6 Posted February 21, 2006 Author Posted February 21, 2006 Just to say, i'm looking to do a review of the Sail Barge when it comes out, as i think it would be a good first review. Quote
Legoman Posted April 1, 2006 Posted April 1, 2006 hello can somone confirm what figs it comes with thanks guys Quote
Sarg_Kulo Posted April 2, 2006 Posted April 2, 2006 Am I the only one who would have preffered a new alien head mold then Lando's helmet? Quote
JoeMI6 Posted April 2, 2006 Author Posted April 2, 2006 From what we've seen at Toyfair Legoman, it seems we'll be getting these figs: Luke Skywalker, Lando Calrissian (with new helmet design), Gamorrean Guard, Han Solo, Jabba the Hutt, R2-D2, Princess Leia and Boba Fett. In answer to your question Sarg. A new alien head mold for something like a Weequay would have been great. But I doubt lego would have done that as any alien other than the Gamorrean would have more EU appeal. I would count ourselves lucky that Lego are giving us the helmet anyways, they could have got away with just a regular Lando, as he takes the helmet off later in the scene anyways. Quote
General Grievous Posted April 5, 2006 Posted April 5, 2006 Am I the only one who would have preffered a new alien head mold then Lando's helmet? No you're not the only one who would prefer to have a new alien mold instead of Lando's helmet. I would have personally preffered a Shaak Ti or Kit Fisto Quote
Starwars4J Posted April 5, 2006 Posted April 5, 2006 Am I the only one who would have preffered a new alien head mold then Lando's helmet? No you're not the only one who would prefer to have a new alien mold instead of Lando's helmet. I would have personally preffered a Shaak Ti or Kit Fisto I'm pretty sure they were both quite dead by Episode VI ;-) Quote
The Executive Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 Klaatu, Barada, Nikto. Thanks Rebelscum. Hmm... I was thinking they would make these guards when i heard the Sailbarge was gonna be made. It would be a good idea if they made small add on set with these figures included, prehaps another skiff. Quote
Chuck Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 I am sure happy I got the set with Bib fortuna in it when it was out >:-) My evil plan for filling up the sail barge: add chewie, bib fortuna, IG-88, and Dengar -l2k- Quote
JoeMI6 Posted April 6, 2006 Author Posted April 6, 2006 That sounds like a good plan. I think i might follow suit. Quote

Starwars4J Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 I know, but then the Sail Barge set would be lacking, and everyone would be complaining about that...and Lego would need to come up with a new design for a new set. Don't worry, with Lego SW until 2011 I'm sure you'll see plenty of new stuff ;-) Quote
dr01d3k4 Posted March 4, 2007 Posted March 4, 2007 Well the prototype did include Chewie and Bib Fortuna, but they're not included in the final model. I don't think anyone really misses Chewie or C3PO, since I'm sure we've all got plenty of those, and the set does include 8 figures already.I actually think the Sarlaac is great. I like the use of the curved pieces for the beak and the Viking horns fro the spikes. LEGO didn't have to include the Sarlaac at all, so I'm glad that they did I'm also very glad about that as well. I was expecting a ninja helmet with the strap printed on the minfig head, so I'm happy that they gave us a new mold! where did you see the sail barge prototype, please post pictures or links and i have got absoulatly NO C3PO's!!! Quote
Zaktan of the Shadows Posted March 4, 2007 Posted March 4, 2007 True. No guards are there. 3PO, Bib, and Chewy arn't either. The sarlaac doesn't have tentacles. But I guess its just the build of the Sailbarge that makes it popular. -ZotS Quote
casewindu Posted March 4, 2007 Posted March 4, 2007 yes where did you see those pictures with bib fortuna i have got the set and wonder what the prototype looked like *y* Quote
