Matn Posted March 7, 2010 Posted March 7, 2010 (edited) I'm never going to forget the day it happened. We were on holiday near the Caribbean Islands. On the 7th of August 1997 he went scuba diving in the Atlantic ocean. All by himself. It's been almost 13 years since we saw him last. More pictues at: MOCpages: http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/190542 Brickshelf: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=423706 It's an entry for the Atlantis category in the MOCathalon contest on MOCpages. Unfortunately I only just discovered that I've forgotten flippers... Let's say he lost them on his way to the statue? Thanks for looking! Edited March 7, 2010 by Matn Quote
Rick Posted March 7, 2010 Posted March 7, 2010 Great statue. But I'm most impressed with all the sea vegetation. The coral - albeit a little small - is simple and effective. Nice work, Matn. Quote
lightningtiger Posted March 7, 2010 Posted March 7, 2010 Excellent statue and underwater life with coral - fantastic ! Awesome work 'Matn' and I'm a conformist! ! Quote
Legostein Posted March 7, 2010 Posted March 7, 2010 Hello! I really enjoyed looking at this nice underwater scenery. The big statue is impressive, but the decoration of the sea floor is really good, too! My favourite is the blue sea flower using lever bases. Cheers, ~ Christopher Quote
WhiteFang Posted March 8, 2010 Posted March 8, 2010 Wow, that's a very nice aquatic landscaping that you have done there. I really enjoying seeing these aquatic plants which you have make good use of to highlight the greens and seaweed. And, at the same time, the statue is looking tall and grand beneath the ocean floor. Big Cam Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 Very impressive MOC, I love the giant statue and as noted the vegitation is really nicely done. I also like the tubing piece used to make your diver look like he's floating. Great job!! Quote
FinalFeature Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 The giant neptune statue is amazing. The beard part of the statue must of taken a while to build. The vegetation, coral, and seaweed gives it a great effect. The use of the fiber cable is a smart idea to make the diver look like he is ''floating''. Very nice moc Matn. Quote
BlueBard Posted March 15, 2010 Posted March 15, 2010 Wonderful job, really! Nicely catchy and designed Quote
Matn Posted March 17, 2010 Author Posted March 17, 2010 Thanks for the nice comments, I really appreciate it! As for the fiber cable, I didn't had any other choice because trans-clear bricks don't look good and for some reason I lost my only trans-clear bar. Quote
