Marko Posted March 14, 2010 Posted March 14, 2010 DETAILS, so many details that I lost tract what I wanted to point out. Anyway hat holder is always important for minifigures And I liked how documents, and files where contrasted on the different color surfaces - nice job Quote
marvinblue Posted March 15, 2010 Posted March 15, 2010 Excellent work Batbrick!! This is simply amazing! The details are superb and the playability is first-class, especially with the removable portions of the building, which is a great idea. Well done on a class act!! P.S. When are you going to pop-up at ANZFOL again? I haven't seen you there for a while.. Quote
Righteous Squid Posted March 16, 2010 Posted March 16, 2010 (edited) Now that is more like the Gotham I know. With the additional floor, I can say it fits perfectly in Gotham city. In fact the extra floor works even better than I imagined as it looks so much more imposing. Which is what banks should do - impose! Sorry I didn't have time to comment further on the details of your Bank before. Since I was otherwise occupied between opening the reply box and getting time to fill it in I had forgotten all I had planned to say, so I will say it now. The Doc Ock windows work really well for a bank - must see if I can get that set sometime. Loved the graffiti details with the Dr Inferno sticker - I nearly bought the Mars Mission Walker just to get the bulldog sticker to use for graffiti - seeing how your sticker adds character I kind of wish I had. I liked the design and colours on the floor which was so bankish (shame you only had the 4x1 dark blues in plates rather than tiles, but other than that it was perfect). I particularly love your safe, it looks so much neater than mine (which I will change when I have some more dark grey). The teller positions with the bullet-proof glass make it the kind of thoroughly modern bank that just might survive in Gotham, often enough at least to make a profit. The first floor I think is even better than the ground floor. The filing system is a great detail that adds to the overall bankishness. Love the boardroom with the big long table. My favourite detail though was the hat stand, since Hats are so essential to the general Gotham ambiance. The hatstand aside your bank has two essential things mine lacks - gold and money - all those security cases are actually empty Keep up the good work Edited March 18, 2010 by Righteous Squid Quote
iamded Posted March 16, 2010 Posted March 16, 2010 Wow! This is an impressive build mate! The exterior is looking very nice, you've nailed that cold concrete look but also spruced it up a bit with the arches and detailings. I like the addition of all those lights, I get the feeling you'd want to keep the area well illuminated in the Gotham nights, to deter and would-be crooks. The details on the roof are very cool too, and the BANK sign is awesome. But the interior is where all the action's at! So much detail! The teller's area behind the counter is awesome, crammed with detail. I love those ATMs, they're so nifty! Very cool. And the details like the fire extinguisher in there, it's just like a real bank. Very, very neat. The top floor is very smart and fancy looking. I love the board of director's room, very flash. Those drawers are awesome. The whole thing is all very awesome! You've done a great job with this one mate. One thing though, I think you've swapped the "Details include" links in your post, as the details for the bottom floor are of the top floor and vice versa. Other than that, perfect! Looking forward to seeing more from you mate! ~Peace Quote
KDog Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 Blown away by how much detail you put into your MOCs. The buildings look absolutely realistic, inside and out. All the little details are well thought-out, like the door of the bank vault. I can't wait to see these used in a Batman comic! Quote
Marko Posted March 22, 2010 Posted March 22, 2010 So many details - paper, files, pen, racial diversity. And colors - is it light yellow or bright light yellow used , dark blue. BULLION BARS!!! I would say that there is a hint of modernity on first floor and this bank would fit any larger town. I like the taller version more. Windows are exactly the ones a bank needs. Thanks for the MOC.
