sok117 Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 Too bad you didn't have a better camera, It would be super cool to see those lovely figs a bit clearer. Quote

Uh... are you sure about that torso? In the movie, his torso was gray, not green. Or are you talking about the Raider's version? Quote
sologuy369 Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 (edited) Rather than asking, you could be the first.@Legonater, what do you mean by tan Han Solo legs? I don't remember him ever having tan legs. For the grail knight: Well you could use some armor from the catsle or upcoming kingdom themes. The face could be Uncle Owen from LSW set sandcrawler. pedro Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 Great ideas for some of the extra characters... just need to get my hands on a fez now! Here's my take on Major Toht... I used the newest Harry Potter head for Toht - it's definately the most appropriate. I very carefully removed HP's scar using Peek metal polish. The hat is from 7682 and the torso is from the rider in 7635. Quote

I don't have the set, but I think it's pretty much the same thing as Old Ben's head from the sandspeeder(which is a cheaper way to get it that's still sold). But I'll suggest the Sand blue Dumbeldore outfit, the Kingdoms armor is Red and White . Quote

Thanks for the tip! Sounds like a pretty accurate Raiders Indy Soldier. How foolish of me to have forgotten that as a custom figure! Now if only there were a way to make a believable Nazi monkey (namely, the red vest on the monkey)! Quote

Capt. Thomas Foolery Posted April 15, 2010 Posted April 15, 2010 It would be possible to paint the monkey, and perhaps glue on a fez. Call it a character flaw, or a brilliant example of my awesomeness, but I'm a purist. No painting of parts. So instead, I'll patiently wait until the day comes that a tiny red vest is created or the pirate monkeys start wearing vests. The lesson: never give up on your dreams. Quote

Capt. Thomas Foolery Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 You could use the Troll Cloth from Harry Potter.~MC Thanks for the tip - it's a good suggestion but I had tried it already with less than spectacular results. Trolls are just a wee bit altitudinally advantaged over monkeys. Quote

The Legonater Posted April 21, 2010 Posted April 21, 2010 Most of these are fairly good, but for this one... SALLAHheadpiece:fez head: Asoka neck item:none torso: Warewolf (studios) legs: German Soldier ...I stongly think that the head should be the swordsman from Ambush in Cairo. Quote
not-in-use-anymore Posted April 21, 2010 Posted April 21, 2010 BARRANCAhead: Ugha warrior(maybe that new PoP head?) torso: Satipo (brown hands) (closest thing)(I think this will be too noticable, maybe the City tan torso?) legs: Satipo(aah, he's becoming a Satipo clone ) RENE BELLOQ (suit) torso: warewolf (studios)(wasn't that the dark blue shirt with fur showing?) MARION RAVENWOOD torso:the KotCS torso with tan arms works SALLAH head: Asoka(I'd use Sheik Amar's head, Asoka is sorta boring compared to the expressions of Sheik) torso: Warewolf (studios)(again, what torso?) HERMAN DIETRICH(there was a KotCS set with him in it... ) head: Bruce Wayne(anything but Bruce Wayne, he's gone to Kamino!) torso: Russian legs: Russian(I suggest grey to mix it up a little ) SIMON KATANGA head brown smile(new PoP head?) torso: Tan(blank tan...?) legs: tan I put my ideas in there so you wont have to go up and down trying to see what I'm talking about. :P Quote
The Legonater Posted April 21, 2010 Posted April 21, 2010 I put my ideas in there so you wont have to go up and down trying to see what I'm talking about. :P Dietrich was not in KotCS, that was Dovchenko. Dietrich's in raiders. Quote
Capt. Thomas Foolery Posted April 21, 2010 Posted April 21, 2010 Dietrich was not in KotCS, that was Dovchenko. Dietrich's in raiders. Legonator is right on this one! Although, I have to disagree with him about Sallah's head. I'm gonna have to side with indianajones in thinking the new PoP Sheik head achieves a better Sallah in terms of skin tone and expression. At least in creating a Last Crusade Sallah. Is there a different Werewolf torso from the Studios line that I'm unaware of? I'm still not understanding how this would make an accurate torso for anyone in the Indiana Jones universe. Quote
