Posted March 11, 201014 yr Hello everyone, i would like to introduce my latest DIY SW series - Vader's Tie Fighter Repair Hangar The repair center is located in a frontline Imperial space station, the hangar is just one part of the station. Imagine, the station would be so big! (i did not have enough bricks to complete this) A big laser cannon located at the roof of the hangar..... There is a mechanism behind the cannon which can adjust the shooting angle..... Vader:Officer, check my fighter, I am counting on you, don't let me down. Vader's Tie fighter is being checked at the moment...... the side door of the hangar..... Stroomtrooper: What a nice space view from the window! With a view from behind, you can see one of the robotic repair arm..... The arm was designed to target the lower part of the fighter closer look view for the arm...... It is the upper arm This is the energy inlet for the fighter Control station Small amount of guards here..... What a hard working day..... Few hours later.... Vader: Impressive work! I have to leave now. This is the way Vader get into the fighter He plans to leave the hangar.... Fighter is leaving the hangar Stroomtrooper: Finally we can take a breath after his leaving! The device to hold the fighter The device to guide the parking of the fighter Thanks for watching!
March 11, 201014 yr AWESOME MOC 'lysander' - excellent repair hanger bay and plenty of action going on ! I didn't realise that stormtroopers are trained in tie maintance ? Why the guards, don't they trust their own mechanics and other techies ? Fantastic hanging attachments in and out the hanger - very clever indeed ! Great work 'lysander' and I'm a conformist! !
March 11, 201014 yr very very nice. i really like the dioramas that suits the star wars ships. the other day i was thinking it would be a great idea to display every single star wars ship in my collection on a small diorama. and this would be great for displaying the tie. i especially like the moveable canon on top
March 11, 201014 yr I love it!!!. It makes somuch sense and looks really good too. I could really see this being set right into the side of an ISD and looking right at home. Excellent job!!

March 11, 201014 yr I love it the hanger is seamless and functional and the top laser and armor gives the feel of an immensely armored giant fortress.
March 11, 201014 yr It's an Imperial Jiffy Lube! Excellent MOC, lysander. It might be better if you had some non-stormies doing the actual work, but that might be more from lack of appropriate minifigs, which I can understand. The details are very good. I love the robotic arms and the control station. Is there any possibility for servicing othe TIE craft, like maybe a Fighter or Interceptor (the Defender is a bit big)? That would make it a little more functional. Still, an excellent scene.
March 11, 201014 yr Great work! Though I can't get near this you have given me some ideas for small add-ons to my displays. Thanks for that and thanks for sharing.

Yes, initially i planned to use Lego construction series workers as mechanics, but don't know whether it is approporiate or not...... It's an !Excellent MOC, lysander. You are right that the Interceptor is too big for the hangar, i need to redesign this in order to let the fighter in.....
March 12, 201014 yr Very nice! I like all of the little details such as the robotic arms and the methods you used to show Vader leaving after the repairs were finished. If you made the walls a bit wider and the whole thing a touch taller, you could probably fit every TIE in there (not at the same time) except for the Defender.
March 12, 201014 yr Very good moc. The detail inside the hangar is very goog, so it is the turret. I only miss a few funny pics of the stormtroopers after Vader´s leaving. thanks!
March 12, 201014 yr What is "Imperial Jiffy Lube"?You are right that the Interceptor is too big for the hangar, i need to redesign this in order to let the fighter in..... Jiffy Lube is a chain of oil change stores. It was one of the first such chains, and they also do some other types of routine maintenance (tire rotations, lube jobs, filter changes, etc.) Don't feel like you have to re-design it to let a TF in, I just thought it would be cool. Of course, if you want to, I'd love to see it.
March 14, 201014 yr Great work, but it seems just barely large enough for Vader's TIE, let alone the Defender escorting him out (Thanks for including the pic as a size comparison of the two as well!)

If you made the walls a bit wider and the whole thing a touch taller, you could probably fit every TIE in there (not at the same time) except for the Defender. Thanks for your comment. You did bring some idea to me so that i decide to build a new Tie fighter Hangar II in coming series......looking forward to that
March 16, 201014 yr That looks great I think you really used your imagination on this one I think the pilots enter thru the top of the fighter but I could be wrong looks great
March 18, 201014 yr Author That looks great I think you really used your imagination on this one I think the pilots enter thru the top of the fighter but I could be wrong looks great In fact, based on previous TV or TC games about SW such as SW Jebi Outcast(exact name i forget), the pilots should enter from above. Of course this is for conventional type Tie fighter, for Vader's, actually i don't know
March 19, 201014 yr A really nice MOC Lysander! I love the Dark Grey of the station. The Turret at the top is cool, I like how you can adjust the height of its firing line. The inside is lovely and tiled, I love the little cranes servicing the fighter, and the hose's coming in and out of it, it all looks so realistic! Well done, and looking forward to seeing more MOCs from you! CommanderFox
