Rufus Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 Whoa, you've really gone to town here! It looks very dramatic in all red, but it's the little details that are truly amazing I particularly like the wingtip weapons - great design. The only problem is the custom crew - nice though they are, they detract from the Star Wars feel. Maybe some back story would help? Quote
Big Cam Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 Wow, I freaking love this. The red is awesome, all the details are just fun. The extra engines just make the engine area look massive, which is cool. The small extra's and greebling really makes your model unique. The little speeder thing is cool, I think it makes more sense than the bacta tank. The gun rack, very cool. Also the bubble at the back, is something I think should ahve been on the original, as it looks just cool. Overall, great work, I really like it. Quote
gotoAndLego Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 (edited) A good old-fashioned blunderbuss with all the blasters... I dig it. Edited March 24, 2010 by gotoAndLego Quote

I have to agree with Rufus on the figs - a back story would definitely help, because these sure aren't Clones. Cool looking Gunship though. Quote
Walter Kovacs Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 Side detail... This is the only spot that I really don't like. It just doesn't fit for some reason. Greebles are fine there, but the cannons just don't work for me. *shrug* However everything else looks great. I still love the red color. And that little speeder is very good. Quote
k_peek_2000 Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 OMG that red and black dropship is SEXY!!!!!!! :D Quote

Actually, I really like the placement of those cannons- they look perfectly suited to bombarding ground-based targets. I do feel that they'd look better if they had some movement, though. My only complaint is that the front seems a little too red. I'd suggest maybe replacing the large slope tile-thing that makes up the door. Perhaps replace it with a plate covered wtih tiles, perhaps with flames? Quote

Yeahh, i kind of agree with you, maybe ill get some custom decals for the nose, to help break it up a little. i might try and build different doors, we shall see. And for Walter, the side guns do move up and down, and since they're only attached by one stud, they have a slight degree of movement from side to side. I liked them as a kind of ground bombardment weapon, like in the AC-130 gunships. But if you don't like them, thats alright, you don't have to : ] And i guess if you guys want a back story... maybe its a crew of bounty hunters, and their stolen republic gunship with modifications! haha. i didn't have any of those cool clone troopers with the red ( or dark red, i cant remember) and i really like the silver helmets and visors of the power miners, so i made some mini-figs of my own. Commander Flash Posted March 25, 2010 Posted March 25, 2010 Incredible! The red looks very good, making it something the CIS would run to the hills to avoid. All the weaponry is intimidating, good thing I'm on your side I'd love to see more MODs of this nature! Quote
-JD- Posted March 25, 2010 Posted March 25, 2010 That is really cool! The colour you chose is perfect, though it does stand out a bit. Keep this up. Quote
