Praetorian Posted March 16, 2010 Posted March 16, 2010 Hello all, I'm an AFOL and have been collecting MISB sets for the past decade. My favourite themes are Classic Space, Legoland Town, Legoland Castle and Pirates. Recently I've been collecting the 2009 Pirate sets, City sets, Modular Houses and some of the exclusive sets. Finally decided to register after months of lurking Quote
Alex the Great Posted March 16, 2010 Posted March 16, 2010 Hello Praetorian , I'm also a castle and pirates collector. Do you build MOC's? Quote

Zorro Posted March 16, 2010 Posted March 16, 2010 Hi Praetorian, nice to see another fellow collector, do you have many MISB Pirates sets? Please do enjoy yourself on the Eurobricks boards! Quote
Big Cam Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 Hi, I don't yet build MOCs as all my sets are still sealed in their boxes Oh please post a picture of all your sets. I'm always amazed to see large MISB collections. I had around 20 boxes then I cracked and opened them all. Welcome to the forums. Quote

VBBN Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 Welcome to Eurobricks I do find MISB collections a bit silly, but I must applaud you as its quite hard to keep large amount of wonderful collectibles kept in their cardboard prisons. -VBBN Quote
Praetorian Posted March 20, 2010 Author Posted March 20, 2010 Welcome to EurobricksI do find MISB collections a bit silly, but I must applaud you as its quite hard to keep large amount of wonderful collectibles kept in their cardboard prisons. -VBBN In some ways I agree with you that it's a bit silly to keep the sets sealed. However, at the moment I don't have the time or space to build and display them properly. There is a special feeling you get when lifting the top flap of a set from over 20 or even over 30 years ago and seeing the pristine Lego pieces still sealed in their bags Quote
Milan Posted March 20, 2010 Posted March 20, 2010 I can understand your decision to have sealed boxes. Welcome! Quote
