Posted March 17, 201014 yr As reported yesterday on http://www.bricksngears.com/ , there is a pictorial "Lego Tire and Wheel Chart" that has the part numbers used by Bricklink and Peeron. The "Visual Lego Wheel Helper" direct link is http://isodomos.com/Visual-Parts-Helper/Lego-Wheel.html . It may be more useful than this "Tire On Wheel" Relationships chart available on Bricklink ( http://www.bricklink.com/catalogRelList.asp?relID=3 ), because it uses 45-DEGREE SIDE VIEWS of the wheels and tires so one can fully see the assemblies.

Really? Looks like they've used pictures from the BrickLink Catalog. Furthermore, it claims that the 41 mm Znap Wheel is a Hard-Plastic Wheels - no tires used. Well, the bb180-Tire fits neatly on that rim, as you can see here: Great site anyhow

February 13, 201114 yr Author The "Visual Lego Wheel Helper" seems to be keeping up with the new sets. I like the hyperlinks provided to the Bricklink and Peeron catalog entries. The variety of wheels and tires have come a LONG WAY since the early 1970s (when all they had were these red wheels):
September 10, 201212 yr Author [bUMP] Here's an official Press Release from The Lego Group that touts the fact that the "LEGO Group officially the world’s largest tyre manufacturer" by annual volume: "It may come as a surprise that a staggering 318 million LEGO tyres are produced each year, that’s over 870,000 each day! "The LEGO factories produces tyres 24 hours per day, 365 days per year because nearly half of all LEGO sets include a wheel of some sort. "Emma Owen, PR & Promotions Manager at LEGO UK says: “Being awarded a Guinness World Record for largest tyre manufacture per annum is likely to be a surprise to many, but not to us and we are thrilled to take this record, 50 years after the invention of the LEGO tyre. Naturally we have previously broken records for creating the tallest LEGO towers, however with LEGO bricks, creativity holds no bounds and we have adopted this theory and looked outside the box with this latest world record challenge.” "The smallest LEGO wheel stands 14.4mm high and belongs to a small two-seater car. "The largest LEGO wheel stands at 10.7cm high and features on the Power Puller, launched in 2000. Even so, we want bigger wheels and tires for Lego Technic! Edited September 10, 201212 yr by DLuders

April 29, 201311 yr Author [bUMP] On MOCPages, Jonathan Petersen presented this idea for using the inexpensive Lego 55817 "Wheel Wagon Viking with 12 holes (55mm D., 7 studs Dia.)" to fit inside the standard Lego 54120 "Tire 94.8 x 44 R Balloon". That combination is not shown in "Match #280" in the Bricklink Tire on Wheel Relationships webpage. You need two Lego 4032 "Plate, Round 2 x 2 with Axle Hole" and a Lego Technic Axle of your choice of length. I had these parts and tried them out -- they offer a nice tight fit and are an attractive alternative to the same-old Lego 44772 wheels that you usually see on those big tires.
April 29, 201311 yr Bricklink categorizes the x784 "Technic, Gear, Hailfire Droid Wheel" as a "gear" and not a "wheel": It has gearing on the inside, that is probably why they categorize it as a gear.
